    I think for anyone that is having any trouble with these cars or other cars in general and are having misfire problems. You should always marry your spark plugs and coil packs. If you don't marry them you will run into problems early on instead of one of them failing later on. Something that's a good habit to get into is taking a few seconds looking at your serpentine belt every 3 months. I've had to change the battery once and it was the OEM battery from factory. If you plan on tuning your Giulia change the {oil/filter, sparks plugs & coil packs, serpentine belt & coolant flush} Always good to start fresh on everything so car doesn't cause any problems.

    Hi man! I'm from the UK and recently (this month) just got the Guilia 952 2.0 (200hp sprint variant). Totally in love with the car. Would you recomend a tune to 280hp to match the veloce (the car as you know has the same block and propshaft etc) even if it only has one exhaust? I'm worried about overloading the car and causing damage if the car can not expell/breathe properly. Just wondered if you knew anyone who has made the tune with the sprint model.
    Also which battery tender do you use or would recommend. I agree with everything you've said and want to keep her in good shape.
    Thank you! Looking forward to more videos on the channel! The content is so helpful.

      Hey could I talk to u sometime about this car? Few concerns have me hesitant

    • @trueeight7522
      @trueeight7522 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Daniel-rd2wh Sure no problem I’ll reply here in the comments to any questions.
      I ended up tuning the car to stage 2 with NJS. Stage 1 is to increase power output to the veloce model (280hp) and stage 2 is to match the stage 1 of the veloce when mapped (325hp and 360nm of TQ).
      Car now actually runs smoother through the rev range than stock. Fuel economy is actually the same if not better and have had no issues with overheating whatsoever. Intact I believe that the the tune actually forces the auxiliary water pump to run at a higher rate so that the car can deal with the additional temperature. That with the fact that the stock intercooler can run much high power than factory. There are multiple videos about this from people running the hybrid turbo that I’ve seen.
      The drivetrain as mentioned before also is the same from the QV so it’s designed to handle 500hp +.
      The only thing I would say is to do a gearbox service every 50k miles to help deal with the additional load and help maintain it. It’s good practice anyway to do that.
      The exhaust as it seems at the moment is only really for sound and aesthetics. I will look to do this in the future as well though.

    So, very common issue with the battery that were installed in the US I had mine swapped on the warranty within the first year, and never had any issues since although I only drive 20 miles daily or less .. lately. I have 43k mikes on mine. Putting a tender on a car every other day is a total pain in the ass and there’s got to be a better way. I have a tender I use on my boat when it’s stored for winter but I can’t imagine dealing with this BS on daily basis.

    The best way to do this without spending a lot of money is to swap the spark plugs and coil packs to a different cylinder and see if the misfire switches. If it doesn’t you know it has nothing to do with the plugs or coil packs and you can look elsewhere. Like you said charge the battery and make sure it’s good so you can rule that out

      @@_fast4lfa I'm fixing to get an 18 or 19 Giulia sport ti . Your centerline corsa exhaust sounds great btw ! Thank you so much for the heads up on the coil packs and plugs , belt etc. I wonder if a $$ optima red top battery would still need a tender ? I installed one in a friend's Gallardo and it solved the frustrating ha problem of keeping a tender on it if it sat for a week or so .
      The oem one didn't throw codes on that car but it was pia and ridiculous to jump start it with a batt booster after few days parked. Even with their idiosyncrasies Italian cars have such unique character . They are like your kids that at times annoy you but you'd fight tooth and nail if someone tried to take them from you. 😀

      @@_fast4lfa I ment the engine cover . The plastic Alfa Romeo piece . It's just a decorative price but it retains heat after engine shuts off and the coil packs sit in that saturated heat . Every vehicle I purchase I take this off and I have never changed a coil pack but everyone I know that doesn't have problems around 50k or so.

    • @_fast4lfa
      @_fast4lfa  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s smart. I’ve always left it on as a dust cover or protection between the engine heat and thin hood paint

    serpentine belt causes misfire? this is very wrong, your engine has timing CHAIN for crankshaft position whereas serpentine belt is the thing that keeps water pump, generator, etc. rotating and it sure cannot cause musfires
