My daily is a 2005 , 997.1. It’s a brilliant brilliant car. This example is in excellent condition. I have had the same issue with the coolant pipe after laying the car up for the winter. For goodness sake this is a 20 year old car!! Things wear out!
@@llanelli311 glad to hear from your and especially this point of view. Agreeing with you on the condition. With the winter it’s a Catch 22, if you don’t drive it your doomed and you are doomed if you do due to the salt and how much worse the cars get when driven in those extreme conditions. Might be worth taking it out for those odd nice days when the sun is out for a couple of days in the winter.
@@InvictusMotorsnot for the pipes I guess but what do you think about lanoguarding the car before the first salt each winter? It’s the underneath I’m worrying about on my old 996 as I can keep the top clean.
Mate I don't know that this gives people a good impression of your shop. Even if the customer is dodgy-you come off as defensive and not having the humility to countenance that your shop could possibly have made a mistake. And then making a whole video about it to get back at a customer seems awful small.
You're correct in what you're saying about treating people with respect but that car is rough underneath and that hose clamp won't hold that pipe for long. I hope it was cheap because, speaking from experience, a lot of money will be needed to bring it up to standard underneath.
@@russellmarsden9329 thanks it’s been a 1 owner from new 911 most of its life, invoices for loads of new coolant pipes, brake lines and soo much had already been done to the car. Now circa 20 years old, there will be some degree of care it will require. Are you from the UK, as it’s unfortunate here in this country that we get corrosion on the underneath of the cars due to the salt and whereas other factors as it doesn’t help us being an island
@@InvictusMotors I am from the UK and have a near identical car which was very similar underneath when I bought it. I bought it with my eyes open and knew what I was getting myself into. I've done the work myself as a hobby but anyone that doesn't have that option open to them is going to be in for some big bills. It sounds like your customer wanted a perfect car for cheap car money. Hopefully the person that ultimately buys it is a bit more realistic. Not criticising you as you seem like decent fellas.
Usually, all the little white spots on the bottom of the engine are engine coolant, which is exactly what it looks like when dried by the engine's heat. This may have been previously repaired but indicates a prior coolant leak.
Basheer you have been exposed to human values and behaviour that are not shared by you. I call it the human condition. True personality is defined by how you treat others, particularly those where there is nothing to be gained by being kind and respectful. I enjoy your videos and can see that you are an enthusiastic chap. I have, much to my wife’s irritation, a 997.2 C2S, which I still enjoy. Keep up the good work.
I mean it’s a used car almost 20 years old. Sometimes these things happen. The dealer will rectify the issue when convenient for both parties. So much more going on in the world…

THis is an extremely one sided video. It is a fact that the coolant pipes are in a very poor condition and whether you call it 'weaping' or 'leaking' is a matter of oppinoin but it means the same. These pipes are a problem on all 997.1's and should be one of the first things that a dealer addresses before selling on a car. Also to claim that the customer is being dishonest it not the correct way to respond to this, if there is coolant coming from these pipe, it s a leak and the customer has every right to complain. He/she may have not gone about it in the correct way but being belittled and called a crook is not the correct response from any dealer to a customer compliant. Being an owner of a 997.1 turbo I have wathced loads of the vidoes from Invictus but today I will unsubscribe because I am sorry Mr Zaheer you were very wrong to have made this video and also the fact that you appear to trade out of a tent will very likely not help your cause.
Thanks for your feedback and for sharing your perspective. I appreciate your concerns and the time you've taken to express them. Regarding the condition of the coolant pipes on the 997.1, it's well known that these can be a common issue, and I understand that terms like "weeping" or "leaking" might be used interchangeably. My goal in the video was to describe the specific condition we observed. I agree that any coolant issues should be addressed before a car is sold, and this is something we take seriously with every vehicle we handle. As for the customer's concern, my intention was not to question their honesty but to provide a clear assessment based on the facts. It's important to approach these situations with clarity and precision, which was the aim of the video. Regarding the comment on our dealership's appearance, we operate from a farm where we have access to a barn capable of storing up to 11 cars, including some valued at around £140,000. The marquees you mentioned are temporary structures, necessitated by local planning restrictions due to part of the site being an Old Prisoner of War Camp from World War 2. These conditions are beyond our control, but they do not affect the quality of service or the vehicles we offer. I appreciate your feedback and hope this clarifies our position.
These cars are prone at a certain age to need new coolant pipes( i should know) Your website says cars are prepared to the highest standards. Maybe you need to prepare them a bit better
The point Basheer is making is that you don’t rant and rave down the phone, he’s only asking for people to be respectful, which you should do if you want to get the issues sorted out in a timely manner. Like others have said it’s a near 20 year old car so be realistic when buying this age of car. I’ve bought a car from Invictus and they are as honest as a days long. Manners cost nothing is the moral of this story.
I don’t think you needed to make this vid. In all walks of life and every job people get abused and it should not be tolerated, that’s all you need to say. I know from my limited experience in conversation and contact with you that you and your staff are very honest and I personally would have no issue in buying a car from you.
Thank you for your comment and for your support. I understand your perspective, and you're right-abuse in any form is unacceptable and should never be tolerated. My intent with the video was to shed light on the situation and highlight the challenges we sometimes face, but I appreciate your feedback on how it could have been handled differently. I genuinely will take what you said onboard. I'm glad to hear that your experiences with us have been positive, and your trust means a lot to me and the entire team. We're committed to maintaining our honesty and integrity in every interaction, and it's customers like you who make our efforts worthwhile. Thanks again for your support and for sharing your thoughts!

In reality there are more dodgy dealers than customers.
