- Hi everybody!! Today I am finally uploading the very first video of my new series called Wigs Untangled. I have about 30 videos planned for this series, to cover every single aspect of how to make wigs for dolls.

Genius.... Of all the complicated ways to create a wig head cap (that usually leaves you with one that's too big) this is the most simple and size-accurate I have ever seen. Can't wait to see more! I'm really interested in getting a lesson on which materials make the best hair (mo hair, synthetic, etc.)

I was expecting that the wig tutorial would be difficult, but it actually seems pretty easy so far. I, personally, think that you should post the other alternatives in making a wig cap first before moving on to the next stage, just to avoid confusion. Thank you so much for this tutorial Nicolle's Dreams! I'm definitely trying this out. ^-^
making wigs is not difficult in terms of skills, it is similar to when you make croissants, it just takes quite a lot of time and patience if you want it to look nice :)
I love this new series! I have had problems finding wig caps that fit my dolls so this video is super helpful! I would be happy either way with the next step or the other wig cap tutorials.
This is an exciting look into doll customization! It would be great to see other methods in wig caps, but you can decide to do it now or later

Hey there~ I was so excited to see this tutorial on your tumblr, my head caps are always terrible. So, thank you for making this! I personally would rather see videos on other methods of making a cap before moving to the next step, just so everyone knows all their options, but either way it's your call.

***** Yeah I was considering showing the other methods first, since they all end up looking a bit different. Not everyone would want a hard head cap like this one, but would maybe prefer a more soft and stretchy headcap instead.

I would very much love to see your other methods of making headcaps for wigs.
The one I've tried so far is with plain unscented baby-wipes, saran wrap (plastic food cling wrap), and fabric glue. It's very much the same as what you've done. The fabric glue is very tacky (sticky), and takes a good day or so to dry properly. However, once it's dry, it stays pretty flexible.

Agree that it would be great to see the other wig cap methods, though I'm really looking forward to the next step, I want to make a wig for an SD size bjd but want to make sure I get it right, I will have to be patient!

Love your tutorials and perfect camera work... so straight forward and makes the process look doable, even for me! I'm anxious for the next step but like others I think seeing how other wig caps are made would be good to know first before moving on... I'm so excited to create my own wig. I think you should move on to the next step of wig making as I would like to keep going, and I doubt I'm alone. I wanna get one finished😁 That tutorial was excellent and easy, if ppl want alternatives, maybe you could just finish the complete wig tutorial and then go back and show the alternatives as an "extra feature" later. This was perfect and so easy why complicate it?? GREAT WORK!! Keep em coming!

That is a very simple but very nice way to follow. For some reason I would think it'd be a lot more complicated to make a wig cap, lol...

This is really great. I am going to need these so I am trying to watch as much as I can...my white glue is PVA... I mean, that's what we get if you ask for white or school glue. I really appreciate this!. Ooh I am glad I checked when you said press Like.. I thought I had already subscribed to you but I hadn't... I have now... I feel bad about this because I watch a lot of your stuff. Oh well, it's sorted now! Better late than never!

Even if im nit a bjd owner, but i do repaints to some dolls like barbie and ever after high dolls, youre really a big help for me.

Kyle Sinadjan Ah I don't think I can make a video like that just because I do not buy dolls to match a specific personality or story, I buy whatever appeals to me and inspires me. So yeah my way of picking and purchasing a doll is very superficial lol, if I like it aesthetically, then I will buy it :P

One topic for wig making is where to get hair that does not need to be treated (like Blythe for example), very nice quality out of package. Have loved all the wigs I happened to have bought separate from dolls, very good weight, with lots of strands, and don't get brittle or need misting with water to define. They are able to take heat for curling though never tested them. Don't know where to buy this so your tips on sources would be awesome :)
