If you purchase a 1" binding it will measure 1" wide finished. When it is folded on an edge it will equal 1/2" on top side and 1/2" on the bottom side. The edges of our binding and facing is already factory finished (folded under), so it is ready to folded or placed on the edge of a fabric and sewn in place.
I want to use this attachment for backpacks. Would sandwich of 2 layers of 14oz canvas and a 1/8" of soft foam fit through the opening of this binder? Would it be possible to spread open the metal "fold" near the needle to allow more material to pass through.
What would cause the top part of the binding be shorter than the bottom part? Could it be that the metal fold part of the binder may be too open? I do production sewing and I started having this problem along with binding tape twisting at high speeds.
Would this be able to bind quilts? I'm looking to find an easier way to bind my quilts as I hate hand sewing and using an edging tool can still skip on the back.
Hi there, I'd like to know what binding tape you use. It is exactly what I'm looking for, only the size needs to be 1-1/4" for me. I can't seem to find this anywhere, please help me? Thank's already!
The binder attachment requires two threaded holes to screw the attachment down to the sewing machine base. Usually those two holes are about 1 1/4" away from your presser foot to the right. I do not think the Janome 15000 has the holes, if it does not have them it will not work.
Is the binder a universal attachment for major brand sewing machines , like Janome and Babylock bearing in mind my Janome machine is a 9mm foot not the standard 7mm What I do not see how the binder attaches to the machine I can see how the bias tape foot works where does the other bit attach to?
Your sewing machine must have two threaded holes for attachments. If it does the chances are that the binder may work. Here is a video showing a different binder, but it talks about where the holes must be for all our binders: th-cam.com/video/SWpdjRAluRQ/w-d-xo.htmlm1s
+Alejandra Reyes-Gonzalez A 90 degree turn is not easy to do with this binder and binding as it does not fold over well. A softer binding would do that, but as you know a fold at the corner is required.

@Leti1971 Did you figure out what was causing the binding to be shorter on the top than the bottom and what was causing the binding tape to twist?
@MrBarbixy The binder should work with any sewing machine that has threaded holes for attachment devices to the right of the needle plate.
What type of walking foot do you use on this machine? Would it fit on a Juki? Just got your binding feeder. Thanks!
JP Latkovic Sorry, the walking foot on this Sailrite Ultrafeed machine will not fit the Juki machine.
Excellent video instructor! Thanks so much.
Thanks for this video. What sewing machine are you using to do this job?
Would this be able to bind quilts? I'm looking to find an easier way to bind my quilts as I hate hand sewing and using an edging tool can still skip on the back.
I have never sewn quilts, so I am not sure I know. Can anyone who sews quilts and uses tool help answer this question?
@@SailriteDIY Thank you for replying. It is very much appreciated.
Sailrite will ship the Sailrite Ultrafeed anywhere in the world.
do you have this binder for cylinder bed sewing machine.
if your machine doesnt have holes already drilled in it could you drill holes to secure the attachment?
You cannot add a 1/4" piping to the middle of this binder. We have done that using the 2" binder, but it is not possible with the 1" and 3/4" binder.
@breazwoman Yes, you can drill and tap holes for a binder attachment. You would use a 6-40 tap.

We are using the Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1 sewing machine. It is found at sailrite.com and is part number 102600.
I have a Janome 15000 embroidery/sewing machine. Would the binder fit?

Does 1" and 2" refer to the finished size or the unfolded size of the binding?
very nice video. good job.
I would like to get one attachment from you. Please let me know what are all the details needed for the same. I am from India.

Please, do you know how to cut and swing and angle for tables clothes or sheets?

Again, love the videos!
Does this attachment work for single fold binding as well?
Yes, as long as the single fold binding is the same width as the binder it is used in it should work great.
You would need to order the binder from sailrite.com it is item number 100103. Just add that item to your cart and then calculate shipping to India on our website.
I love this sewing machine, doesn't seem to be in Britain :(

Groovy laser music
It does look so much easier to just chop the corner. Wish I would have thought of that rather than try all this stupid fancy folding.
