Even Jean Grey psychically pushed Scott and Emma together, stating that Scott deserves to be happy and move on from her (Jean) after having to “die/leave” again. Likewise, no-one should begrudge Rogue wanting to move on eventually. I doubt she will with Magneto, however.
Gotta say, the moment Morph gets hurt, the emotion Wolverine shows was badass! Just goes to show that when Wolverine puts his heart into something, he'll fight to the death for it. ❤
The neon sign of the building Trask jumps off reads "Horizon Technology Incorporated" in Chinese. That building must be a subsidiary of Horizon Labs in this world.
Sinister brought Morph back from the dead, granted he was fresh😂, but Sinister & Apocalypse together could probably find a way to make Gambit horseman of death even tough he probably gonna stay dead for a while untill that happens
That will probably be the season finale cliffhanger. Apocalypse being revealed as the mastermind behind everything along with Gambit being brought back as the Horseman of Death.
This show just keeps getting better and better! What an episode! "Bright Eyes" as an episode was fantastic, but now I'm super excited to see how this story continues going into the three-part finale! This finale arc for season one is titled "Tolerance is Extinction." I'm SO damn hyped for this ending to season one because the creative team said this is the BEST part of season 1, and this show has already been absolutely masterful so I just can't wait to dive head first into this three-part finale! Rogue was obviously a highlight this episode along with Cyclops and his interactions with the rest of the team after what happened in Genosha. Seeing the X-Men family so broken after the death of Gambit is some really powerful emotional stuff. Especially everything with Rouge. My heart aches for her because she's lost so much at this point. Her old family, her loves, her dreams, and her stability now that the X-Men are also emotionally destroyed. That scene where they comforted Rogue in Mexico genuinely made me tear up. I love this family. This is why the X-Men are my favorite comic book team. This show is just incredible because it knows how to convey everything the team/the world is feeling perfectly through our favorite characters. This is just incredible writing with this character work in this incredible show! This is Marvel at its absolute best! 9/10 episode this week! With another banger X-Men 97 episode and the Deadpool and the trailer, I think it's safe to say that it's been an awesome week for X-Men fans!
Omg another great episode!! Definitely appointment Tv. Rogue going Kill Bill style here! OZT (Operation Zero Tolerance) in effect! Wonder what was meant by the comment about “the Jean freaks” Also wonder with many of the team feeling the way they do if there will be a big divide among the team half with Xavier and half with Erik! Can’t wait for the 3 parter!! Always in anticipation to see your guys reaction to this series!❤
I always watch with subtitles, and "the Jean freaks" was stated as "gene," so I think they are talking about mutants in a general and derogatory sense. As a Jean stan since 1992 (I was 4 lol), when her name is said in any way I instantly pay closer attention. lol.
And this is why I was wIating for your reactions cause I just knew coy would enlighten us to some degree who the end baddie was😅 awsome reaction video guys😮
I liked how these past two episodes have talked about assimilation and tolerance. We examine assimilation from the perspectives of the oppressors (Shi’Ar) and the oppressed (Storm and Forge) only for Xavier to criticize the very idea of making others less so you could be more. Then in this episode we see the X-Men question the very notion of tolerance if it means they have to beg to be seen as people. Scott even talks about Magneto being right about things like the Genosha attack. We’re seeing more signs of the “Cyclops is Right” Scott coming out……and I’m here for it 😏. Rogue going on a rampage was soooo good and we get more examples of Captain America (or other Avengers) being irritating obstacles at best or flat out antagonists at worst in X-Men stories. It’s really a tale of two cities when you see the Avengers in X-Men stories versus their own 😂. It was great seeing Emma get her diamond form secondary mutation just like after the Genosha attack in the comics. Hopefully they do Emma well. Really like that character. Also the voice cast continues to knock it out of the park. Theo James kills it as Bastion.
The most symbolic and significant father-son relationship between Cable and Scott.😭 It was finally an honor to see him in this beautiful series.❤But he could if Jean Gray was there. the truly.😤
Awesome Video!!! This Episode was Absolutely Incredible!!! Seeing Rogue just be unhinged and causing destruction everywhere was well deserved after Genosha. And then seeing Her break down into tears almost made Me Cry. And then CAPTAIN FREAKING AMERICA Showing Up was Insane!!! It was Awesome to see Him in The X-Men 97 Universe!!! Bastion was very menacing and I did not expect Magneto to be Alive! That was such a Great Twist! This Show Just Keeps Getting Better And Better!!! One Of The Best Things Marvel Has Ever Done!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE!!!!!!
The combined scenes from @6:30 and @10:29 is a direct conversation on the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting of June 2016, and what it's like with struggling to come out to ones parents on being anything other than straight. It's a master class on writing as the creatives flawlessly weave these real world topics into the story, to show that despite ones fear of coming out to their parents it's always going to be better than them finding out by way of a news story hearing their child was a victim of a hate crime. I can not praise the writers enough for doing this so seamlessly, because if you aren't tuned to picking it up, you might not catch it. And if you see it without understanding the gravity of this reality that many people face while lacking the compassion for the human condition, you'll shout "wokeness" into the void of hatred.
Great Odin's RAVEN- this episode was off the hook. And this was just the appetizer before the 3-episode main course. Buckle up everyone, the next 3 weeks are going to get NUTS.
It's weird because in Spider-Man The Animated Series which is in the same universe as X-Men The Animated Series, Captain America was trapped in a vortex with Red Skull.
What if Spider-Man got him out? Remember Peter went with the Madame web to go find MJ. And member the news paper, Peter is probably is probably back too.
I wish Cap would’ve helped, he isn’t the type to worry about image over working with a mutant. He has a pretty solid history with defying the government…
I'm with these guys too, that finding Emma (and Magneto) alive decreases the odds we get Cable reversing Genosha, but I always thought Genosha would not be fully reversed regardless anyway, so we may still see Cable's attempts happen (because his motivation would always include saving his mother anyway). So, I originally figured an approach would be Cable goes back a few times, fails over and over, eventually saves Gambit, things turn out worse, then Gambit sacrifices himself again to save the most mutants possible, and we get Magneto and Madelyne back as a result (plus a few extras) but still several thousands dead. Though not a total win, it would be their best case scenario, since Gambit's death is a required event (fixed temporal point) that if ever undone makes things far worse. However... ...since Mags is already shown having survived, I revise it this way: after Bastion makes even more death and destruction, including using Magneto as a puppet, they go back to undo Genosha, saving others and losing the truly heroic Magneto instead. Either way, Gambit's salvation would be as Apocalypse's horseman, not Cable's success at saving him. However, if we lost Magneto and saved Gambit in a redo what we'd get is Charles's return being updated to be a vision of Magneto in the psychic classroom simulation instead of Gambit, spurring his return.
Only fighting game players like me noticed the reference they made with Rogue using her air roll into divekick from the Capcom fighting games. LOVED THAT!!!!!🔥 The storyboarders were explicitly clear that they got inspiration from the Capcom fighting games that featured the X-Men characters. I couldn't be happier!❤
if you watched in life death 1 there is a picture of forge next to bastion and the other doctor. so he was hinted at before this. what gets me is that i even thought about operation zero tolerance while watching the show and it still couldn't figure out what was OZT, so thank you for putting 2 and 2 together for me.
Imagine if Morph's Quicksilver was actually as fast as the live-action version and we got a brief slow-mo sequence only to have him get one-hit KO'd by Sentinel Trask. That'd have been funny 😅

And OMG Did Rogue just do the Thundercats Panthro kick (from the opening) on that tank? I love the little homages to past classic cartoons!
The parallels to coming out of the closet with Roberto telling his mom about him being a mutant at spot on😢.
Dark Beast is coming😅.
YES it’s finally up. THEO JAMES IS BASTION!!!!!!! MAGENTO ALIVE!!!!!!!! EVERETT ROSS JOSH KEATON WAS CAPTAIN AMERICA? I didn’t recognise Theo’s voice when Bastion was smothering Gyrich but when he was talking to Sinister BAM instant recognition and then i did the Leo Dicaprio Pointing Meme while screaming at my screen.
Not Everett, Thaddeus.
i cannot believe i didn’t put together theo is bastion, im fan girling so hard rn😭
Bastion’s voice actor is Theo James from The Maze Runner, and man his Bastion is chilling. Just so eerily relaxed and confident in everything he says.
Who was he in maze runner...
I know he was in the Divergent movies...I don't remember him in The Maze Runner.
Yelp that's how phoenix moved in Capcom, too, while fighting in the air.
IT'S MAHVEL BABY!
marvel has really outdone themselves with this series
I just hope that they don’t associate this with the MCU. This really needs to stay independent and stand on its own.
@@4pacethey already said they arent
@@MrMelonGuy42 I know it is right now. However, due to its major success, you know that some execs are gonna want to have it crossover with the MCU, which I really don’t want.
Don’t want this amazing fantastical comic storyline, being crossed over with generic stories with bad writing that is the MCU.
@@4paceyeah lets just ignore the masterpieces marvel keeps dropping because our entire personality is hating marvel
@@lilmilontiktok don’t assume that I hate Marvel. Assuming makes a fool out of me and you. I’m a big marvel fan ever since I was a child, but what’s undeniable is the quality that the MCU has been putting out post endgame. However, just because I’m on the fan of marvel doesn’t mean I’m going to be a “yes man” for every project they put out. It's because I’m a marvel fan I want them to succeed and produce better than what they’ve been giving us the past two years. Just because you’re a fan of something doesn’t mean you can’t be objectively critical about it. You have me confused with Geeks and gamers, or Critical Drinker.
Seeing Captain America in this episode was so great! Rogue was also so cool in this episode! 👍
Nightcrawler's eulogy hit me so much. and i have never, NEVER once yelled "shut the [bleep] up, Rogers!" in my life but honestly, i really wanted him to be. quiet. iChuckle. and don't even get me started with the President and his blasted optics.
I swear, If Magneto and Rogue end together after she realizes he is alive, after Gambit's sacrifice, I am going to be so mad.
No way. I really love rogueneto (mostly because of the era when I started reading), but roguegambit will always be endgame
Nobody should be tied down but allowed to move on
Facts
I feel like with Gambit's death, Rogue has finally come to terms with her love for him, so now she won't go back to Magneto.
Mannn this show has been everything the Xmen deserves.. thank God for whoever all were involved with the idea of reviving this
Beau DeMayo...has been knocking it out the park with the writing for all these episodes
Captain america showing up here means their setting up Avengers vs X-Men
I definitely think they’ll bring back Gambit for his Horseman of Death arc. I’m all for the angsty drama it will cause for him and Rogue
This show keeps hitting it home with the plot
3:20 Remy's brother, Bobby. 2:49 Belladonna of the Assassins Guild, Remy's ex-fiancée.
One thing to know about Bastion. He is a complete/unapologetic psychopath
Hmmmm, I didn't pick that up from the way he was shaving Magneto like a Totally Normal Person™ at the end there...
Bastion is making Eric the flying purple people eater. . And Cyclops is the “one eyed” part.
“Ahh that’s so touching” - Five seconds later… 😂
No one is talking about how Val Cooper is gone and how Trish distracted the X Men during the genoshan massacre. Mystique maybe?
Wolverine one liners be having me weak 😂😂😂
Who’s funnier Wolverine or Morph?
@@jaydub7386 they neck and neck to me 😂😂
Don't know if anyone said this already but in the comics emma survived the genosha massacre in the comics because she gained her diamond form
We all said this/knew this.
But it was still great to see translated into the show!
This episode was fire 🔥 and the writing is phenomenal.
As a Jean stan since 1992 (I was 4 lol), when her name is said in any way I instantly pay closer attention. lol.
@@Ri-Lizzie: Relatable. Jean so needed the win after the og series.
It was GENE freaks as in mutants
There is your new shirt I pic of Nightcrawler on a wall with the slogan "every body needs a friend like nightcrawler"
"You were born for this". I don't think it's been Magneto this season, but Joseph his clone.
This episode had me jumping up and down with how many things kept happening, this show is so damn good
I want an episode of Capitan America looking for his shield in the woods 😂
And this is why I was wIating for your reactions cause I just knew coy would enlighten us to some degree who the end baddie was😅 awsome reaction video guys😮
To those who don't know yet what OZT stands for, it's Operation: Zero Tolerance.
But we all know that already.
Bastion’s cadence was so reminiscent of James Spaders’ Ultron
14:22 Kurt always has the kindest of hearts. That’s why he’s my favourite Marvel character. 😊😊😊🥰🥰🥰💙🖤❤️
Rogue was really like “Viltrumite kick!”
That nimrod transformation and the building blowing up reminds me of Lex changing into brainiac and revealing himself in front of the justice league.
Theo James does have a good voice actor voice, for sure. He was on Castlevania.
As Hector.
This the only X-Men 97 reaction video channel I need. I'm so glad you have the same thoughts, reaction, and love for the show!
I keep saying I think Gambit will be back next season or S3 as Death Horseman of Apocalypse.
4:31 Those moves are 100% a Marvel vs Capcom reference and I'm here for it!
Great Odin's RAVEN- this episode was off the hook. And this was just the appetizer before the 3-episode main course.
Buckle up everyone, the next 3 weeks are going to get NUTS.
Rogue frisbeeing Cap's shield was the highlight for me.
13:59 NIGHTCRAWLER
14:06 😮😮😮😮so poetic ❤❤
14:37 this guy is one of a kind
Thanks for the timestamps!
Whoever paces these episodes is a genius
It's weird because in Spider-Man The Animated Series which is in the same universe as X-Men The Animated Series, Captain America was trapped in a vortex with Red Skull.
What if Spider-Man got him out? Remember Peter went with the Madame web to go find MJ. And member the news paper, Peter is probably is probably back too.
We have to remember this season is set 1 year after the end of the og show. Likely many things happened offscreen in that time.
I agree with you guys: the dialogue in this show is beyond top-tier.
I think that’s the voice actor for Hector in Castelvania
yes, that was theo james as Bastion, never guessed it until i saw the credits...
Chris Potter switch hitting from voicing Gambit to Cable and giving me the tingles with his Josh Brolin-ness
Rogue and Kurt are so sweet together
Josh Keaton been killing the voice acting he was that spider man from invincible and now Captain America
This show is so goddamned incredible. Every episode outdoes the last.
Only fighting game players like me noticed the reference they made with Rogue using her air roll into divekick from the Capcom fighting games. LOVED THAT!!!!!🔥
The storyboarders were explicitly clear that they got inspiration from the Capcom fighting games that featured the X-Men characters. I couldn't be happier!❤
YAAY!!! RRs!!!! Gosh, Rogue!!!! I forgot which reactor--Heavy Spoilers? CinePals?--pointed out the Rogue video game move!!! THANKS so much!!!!
if you watched in life death 1 there is a picture of forge next to bastion and the other doctor. so he was hinted at before this. what gets me is that i even thought about operation zero tolerance while watching the show and it still couldn't figure out what was OZT, so thank you for putting 2 and 2 together for me.
I am loving the show but cannot advocate for Remy not coming back. He has been my favorite for too long.
the music [needle drops and score] is forever on point.
Imagine if Morph's Quicksilver was actually as fast as the live-action version and we got a brief slow-mo sequence only to have him get one-hit KO'd by Sentinel Trask. That'd have been funny 😅
Such an amazing episode! I loved Rogue's run in the Avengers in the comics, so I hope they'll put some of that in there.
I am so happy to see Captain America in the episode
