A playoff berth is all that I’m expecting this year
Last we had a rough schedule too. It made us tougher and better. A reason Georgia faulted…..their easier schedule. I am so angry that the Michigan team suffered and Harbaugh will not!
Texas is tricky they always seem to play completely flat a few ballgames a year. I do think they beat Georgia.
I think Michigan beats Georgia last year by 2 touchdowns. A pocket passer in Carson beck wasn’t going to last against Michigan.
Now didn’t they do this in February?
I think they ranked us so low because if they are right, they get to be right and if they are wrong, it is better ratings for ESPN.
They rated us so low if we lose to low they can drop us out of top 20

So are they ranking these teams based on how good they think they are or how they their record will end up? Bama is not the 9th best team in the country. Where they end up with their schedule is a different discussion. Is Georgia’s talent 8 spots ahead of Bama? What about the coaching staff?
I hate to admit that I’m more excited for the upcoming basketball season than football. I don’t think the football team will be bad by any means but I won’t be surprised if we don’t win the SEC or National Championship. Basketball team will have high expectations and I can easily be satisfied with another Elite 8-Final 4 run.
I feel the same. Im excited about the basketball season. I was for the past 2 years. This year, im more nervous about the football season than anything. I dont know what to expect. Its a tough schedule and missing some experience on the defensive side.
Oregon landing Evan Stewart and other experienced transfers tipped the scale talent wise between bama and Oregon.
Alabama got there top ot back and Lt from Tamu and sabb from Michigan with the number 3 recruiting class in behind Ohio state and Georgia!! Oregon not in Bama league yet still
@@arseniolewis735 I’m just telling you what I see on film. We landed a #3 class but we lost a ton. We lost 7 starters that transferred. Then we lost 3 recruits from that class including Julian Sayin and Peyton Woodard. Oregon landed a top 5 class but didn’t lose as much in the transfer portal. Oregon landed actually starting caliber players. With Muhammad and Evan Steward. The quarterback from Oklahoma and the defensive tackle they just got. LT Overton was falsely rated even in HS he wasn’t a 5 star. Now he’s not even a starter at bama. Yeah we got proctor back but he missed spring practice so there’s been no progression he’s basically still a freshman development wise. Now I’m a student of the game been doing this 18 years. I played and coached. I pride myself on being an unbiased fan. RTR
Proctor started in SEC last year definitely not a freshman anymore. Losing players that never played a down can't really worry about. @@darnellrtr252
Schedule strength is irrelevant until the season gets about halfway through. Every year tons of teams overachieve and a lot underachieve.
Ive always ranked teams based on who i think is better on a neutral field. But thats flawed too because its opinion based.
I also believe the rankings are a little 'wish-casting'. Dont get me wrong, we're not the #1 team in the country, but i dont think we are #9 either. Around 5-6 sounds right to me.

saban leaving is half of it and the other half is our losses in the portal and our schedule....im as big a homer as any1 but u cant deny its more up in the air this year than any other year...were an untested product as of now
Every team every year is an untested product till the season starts tho
tru...but not every team loses a saban either...bama included. i just think regardless how good we could look in the roster or spring game we were taking a hit in the polls (despite the fact we got a great coach it seems and our depth should be ok)
It was time for Saban to go his last few coaching staffs burned him out. Got full staffs on both sides of ball that are better coaches than recruiters can't replicate what Saban did but he left lots of talent for an X's and O's guy
