The 2 meter option is really a neat feature to have in the radio. For me, I take an HT with me so I can play HF while listening to the local repeater. I hope you really enjoy your radio. I love mine.

    Hey Kent
    My KX2 is in route..
I like your little youkits antenna checker.
The KX2 will do 20 watts. But you know I like 1 and under for QRP.
Don't forget to use transformer wire @ 26 gauge and balloons to get it a nice vertical.
    It works great..
If there's a farm fence around it makes a perfect counter poise.

Kent, I hope you enjoy your KX3. I enjoy mine. My eyes wondered across your ham shack and I immediately noticed that good looking Tecsun S2000. I did not realize they had a higher end desktop radio. It looks like that Grundig radio that RadioShack used to sell. Also spotted, is the DX400 radio, along with the other eye candy. Enjoy! 73.

WB0WQS hello! Thanks for the comments. Yes the Grundig and Tecsun are identical radios. I got this s2000 on a special deal at Amazon (or maybe eBay, can’t remember). It is a jewel. The audio is incredible and the front end is very sensitive and quiet. The DX440 is also a gem. It’s very sensitive and they both are top notch listeners. I also have the Eton executive satellit - and it’s cool for what it is, I listen to them all daily and switch around. They are all SSB radios as you know, so I listen to my friends chat while I work. Thanks again for the comment.
