- Hi! So initially I had planned to do a much more interesting video this weekend, but ended up having to work from home on the day I needed to film, so this was born, hahaha.
Hopefully it's not too boring for you guys, I always get nervous with longer videos.

1. That cat is stinking cute
2. Humans find symmetrical faces/faces that follow the golden ratio more attractive because it's a signifier for genetic health
3. Faces with proportionally large eyes are a hardwired trick so that humans would care for infants(because they're so absolutely dependent on mom and dad, the kid has to be cute so that it'll keep being cared for) and therefore seems cuter to humans (which is also why cartoon characters have small heads and large eyes)
4. Long, thick eye lashes are attractive because the look was popularized by Elizabeth Taylor, who had a genetic mutation that made her have a secondary row of eye lashes

prettythinker I have to say that golden ratio isn't really symmetry: people hate symmetrical faces (proved in some studies I don't remember the name because yeah, not so good memory) but love golder ratio faces, because it is a proportion (not symmetry, it's a kind of proportion) you can litteraly find ANYWHERE IN THE FUCKING WORLD.

Long thick eyelashes usually also make the eye seem bigger i think :D
prettythinker having large heads and eyes are also common in cartoon characters because they’re a popular way of conveying emotions, which is really important in cartoons because obviously actions and stuff are very exaggerated.
@Leigh Barry I've even read that larger breasts in humans evolved because they were a strong indicator of symmetry. They exponentially show asymmetry when they are bigger. So if you can have bigger beasts while also having symmetrical breasts you are giving off mad genetic fitness vibes.
I loved this, because it is one of the most down-to-earth 'get ready with me' videos I've seen. Sometimes these types of videos come off as so staged or forced, whereas you were honestly just being yourself. The fact you are so casual made this more relatable and easier to watch! It's also nice to see someone who doesn't pile 15 different products onto their face. Please consider doing this more often! Your sense of humor makes your videos all the more charming!

Yay! I'm always happy to see when you've posted a new video. Pro tip: They sell these tweezers with little grippy bits on the end at most beauty supply stores and they're really helpful when you're trying to put on fake lashes! You just grab the lashes with the tweezers and then place them and push in place. Hope that helps! 🙃

Aww thank you so so much!! Nope, I don't have a perm, I just use rollers and setting lotion (I have a few diff tutorials on it) and it works wonders! I wish I could dance Lindy Hop but I'm not coordinated enough, hahaha!

So I have an embarrassingly large collection of Halloween mugs strategically placed on my dresser and I use one that's fairly empty to put my hand mirror into when I do my makeup (I dont have room for a proper vanity so I have to go the bootleg route *cries*)

Missed opportunity when the cat jumped up and basically stood centre stage, you should have captioned it like "this is my video now"
So, I found the easiest say to apply lashes is to put one of those tiny mirrors between my legs while I'm sitying, that way I'm forced to look down, and then apply them using tweezers. This way they get applied at an angle and it's so much easier
To help with the lashes try using a pair of tweezers to set them into place rather than your hand it holds them so you can place the “middle” of the lash as close to your natural lash line and then push down the inner and outer corner , you can put mascara on before putting the falsies in or after (that’s personal opinion) but then take your fingers and just lightly squeeze the falsies to your real lashes to kinda blend them together . That’s the easiest way I learned how to be efficient and have almost no mishaps with putting lashes on ! Hope it helps !

+the Pinup Companion Love your videos. the trick that I use for lashes with no eyeliner is... put the lashes on and as the glue is still tacky after you put your lash on gently curl you lashes with lash curler. It bring the lash closer to lash line and blends them together. Love the hang mirror. I have been trying to find a good vintage mirror that is useable. I have been having no luck. :( Second your pets are so cute.

If I had the chance I would build a collection of clothes and accessories to wear, my home is in England and in countryside it is a 250+ year old stone cottage so just need the wardrobe to match. Sephora allow returns and exchanges if you ever buy the wrong color again! (Even opened and used products) But I think it suits you, when I had my hair light red (orange-ish), my hairdresser told me that you should go a shade darker for your eyebrows.
I also did the same thing, I wanted the Kate Von D lipstick in this exact shade you have and since they did not have it I just bought the super red one (outlaw) and I kind of don't like it that much. ahaha, why do we do this?

Having a cat, that's how I have to do my makeup too.
My trick for not lining up my falsies to my natural lashes: I cheat! I do a rough pencil liner to fill in any skin tone that might peek through. :-P But you're correct, the liquid liner goes on top of it all anyway!

There is a trick to put a top like that on. Put a silky scarf on your head and then put the top on. The top will slide over your head easy.

Hi there! I'm not an expert on makeup as well but I hope that my pieces of advice may help you someday.
You can use an eyelash applicator to attach your false lashes easier, lessening the instances of the glue sticking to your fingers while trying to place them over your eyes. Also, whenever I watch makeup tutorials, they usually start doing eyeshadow first before eyeliner, then apply mascara on real lashes before attaching false lashes. But I figured you might have difficulty lining your eyes after applying eyeshadow, so I guess they can be interchangeable.
But you're so beautiful, no matter how you have done your makeup.
I definitely need to try an applicator next time! I rarely ever do lashes but always struggle so I think that'll definitely help 😂
The Pinup Companion And to answer your question in the video regarding eyelashes being attractive, I've read that a mascara can make eyes look bigger and more awake. I think it's not the lashes, per se, that causes attraction. Perhaps it's more of giving emphasis to the eyes instead. I hope you get what I mean.
