Healthcare in Canada is joke. I guess it's wonderful if you're a pill popping junkie. The rest of us pay through the nose in taxes and can't get the services we need when we actually need them. Most people dont have a family doctor and if you donits impossible to get in. My husband, myself and our 4 boys are extremely healthy people- we eat real food, exercise, dont drink or smoke etc. We rarely get sick and dont take any perceptions, but when something does come up you have very little means to access care. My doctor's office just doesn't answer the phone or return your calls. Our healthcare system used to be something to brag about but those days are long gone.
I want to say that I’m sorry to all the people of these cities who suffer needlessly. You deserve better. Cities tend to breed corruption. The most vulnerable suffer.

You should go to other parts of Vancouver that aren't as crazy to see what normal Canadians think of the state of affairs in the country. Go to colleges (University of British Columbia, Simon Frasier University), or other parts of downtown. There's a lot of other neighbourhoods with good foot traffic where you can find people to interview too, even in some suburbs like North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, New Westminster.
Since the election we've heard more about other countries and I was wondering what Canada was looking like. We never hear much about Canada. Dang it's expensive to live there.. sounds like Trump needs to help Canada get back on track. The drugs in public is not acceptable! People act to much like fools when intoxicated, why put that on the streets so everyone can see? Most People there are rude..
Vancouver and BC are the California of Canada. Its woke as F and full of rude lefty people. Most of the country is waiting for the next election to get rid of Trudeau.
@@gennacalvaresi422 “sounds like Trump needs to help Canada get back on track”. Trump has to fix America first and that will take his entire 4 yr term along with Americans supporting him. Vancouver looks VERY similar to our big cities - Philadelphia, LA, Portland, Seattle, etc.

Walking through that part of Vancouver, there is a “haunted” feeling like a haunted house, ghosts and zombies… all my friends living downtown say they’re physically harmless and you get used to it.
Yikes. "Get used to it" that would really piss me off that was my area. That's like going to someone's yard and using it as a bathroom everyday and when the owner comes out you tell them "get used to it"
Rent caps don't make sense. You just need to get out of the way of the private sector to provide supply, and not cause too much demand by managing interest rates and immigration.
Vancouver is considered one of the most expensive places to live, and it also has significant crime rates. This has been the case for over 30 years. Like every large city, Vancouver faces drug problems. However, with a monthly income of 2k, which is essentially the full-time minimum wage, one can live comfortably in smaller citys , Decriminalizing drugs is not beneficial and should be halted.

Having free trade with the US is not ripping the US off. It's beneficial for both countries, just makes for a bigger market for labour and goods. Free trade makes sense when the labour pool and regulations are similar, which they generally are - Canada doesn't allow companies to use slave labour and dump toxic waste in our rivers to produce things for lower prices the way some 3rd world countries do. However, Trudeau needs to get it together with who gets let into the country, and cracking down on drugs.
Wowww!! Wth!! I thought California was bad. I would say leave and don’t go back how sad, that’s very traumatizing. What a shameful government. Their Prime Minister ought to be embarrassed. The PM is not ashamed because he doesn’t care. Supplying free drugs keeps these people on the streets and he thinks he’s a hero by giving them clean equipment . It’s a way to keep them drugged up and out of the way, forget about them
Fun fact: Canada has NOT decriminalized drugs! The province of British Columbia is carrying out a 3 year pilot program that has decriminalized the possession of drugs, if the quantity of drugs held is held for personal use only.
Mass immigration is the problem for the housing crisis. Sure, the other things mentioned also is factored in but when we increased 2 million in 2 years with already strained housing and health care issues, it's only making it worse at lightening speed.

Yeah, there's a lot of bits and pieces of the auto-industry supply chain going back and forth between the Rust Belt and Ontario for example. 25% tariffs aren't going to be good for Canada, but they also aren't going to be good for Michigan and Ohio. Canada also exports a lot of oil to the US. And electricity from Quebec that's enough for about 3-4 million people.
