- Martha and I explored farther up the canyon that was in my first video, and it was teeming with ancient ruins, pictographs, and more. We really enjoyed this hike, and it was our last of our trip to the southwest. I hope to get back there soon!
Make sure to always respect ancient ruins and other history you may find!
Those grooves in rock are where they sharpen tools, arrows or anything needing sharpened, also the black on the roof is from fire,, much of the area you were looking at has flaked away,, resulting in spotty areas left black, notice inside those structures the smoke flu built into the top of the walls to allow smoke to exit,,the black is usually much more concentrated in that area,, good vid man,,
Fun adventure! Great job with the pancakes!🥞
Thank you! I was proud of those pancakes
Thanks for another great video 👍🏻
I think its always pretty neat to take a look into the windows when possible for you. I like to see what the size is and it looks like most were made mainly for sleeping or just hanging out sitting down. There probably never much of anything left inside Im sure. It just gives a perspective on how they lived which I find most interesting. Nice job on flipping! lol
Yeah looking into the windows is always a surreal experience, even if there is nothing there. It is fun to imagine what has taken place in those little rooms

Nice tour! I love the respect.
Fun fact ( I hope): Pinnacle is an architectural term for anything tall and pointy. The geological term for soft rock eroded from under a cap of harder rock, creating a spire, pillar, or pinnacle, is called a "Hoodoo" . Great word.
Hoodoo! That was the word I was looking for. I’ll keep that in mind next time I see something like that
i really enjoyed hiking in that canyon, now i have a video to remember it by :)
Great video!! Thanks for taking me with y'all!!
Glad you enjoyed!
That very 1st cave, you can see the roof has collapsed. It’s all over the floor, the huge hunks of rock. I guarantee the whole roof was black. Love the shadow handprints on the roof. I think it’s so fascinating that wood still remains, but the dry desert air has kept it intact. I’m from Hawaii originally where organic material is reclaimed by the wetter climate. The grooves are from sharpening tools. Good job on flipping your pancakes. Next skill to master is pizza dough tossing and stretching. That’s one skill I have yet to master! lol!
Good job on another great video. 👏👏👏
I bet so, there might have been more handprints on that ceiling too! The organic material sure is preserved in the desert, I have that to be thankful for. Thank you! Pizza has been on my list of things to try.... thanks for watching!
Great video ..enjoyed it ..good flipping 😅
Thank you, that flipping was definitely stressful
The trick that you used on your first successful flip was loosening it from the pan by sliding it around before flipping it (not too high). On the second one you didn’t do that, but still, success!
I flip eggs for homemade egg McMuffin every morning, so you getting that flapjack on the first try had me cheering for you! Well done!
You’re right! I was wondering what I did wrong the second time
Great video thanks. Looks like slabs of roof falling in. I wonder how many years the ruins will remain?
Yeah I think that is exactly what was happening at that first one, luckily it looked like it was staying in front of the ruins for the most part
Look at that pictograph of a person behind and above you❤
Good flapjack flippin'
Really enjoyed this thanks. What camera do you use with the zoom lens?
