Adventures outdoors, whether that be hiking, camping, climbing, herping, rockhounding etc. A true one stop shop for any outdoor enjoyer. My name is Landon, and I go to college at Utah State University where I study ecology. I want to make these videos as a way to share and document my adventures, as well as learn more about the natural world along the way.

Epic Wipeouts at Beaver Mountain, Utah | Skiing
You need to do more research. Yellowstone NP, Craters of the Moon NP, Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness NP, not to mention all the other national types. I have lived here most of my life and there is abundance of things to see.
Part of Yellowstone national park is in Idaho
Technically it has part of yellowstone
As an Idahoan, we all confirm that we would prefer to stay under the radar to the rest of the planet…🤣🙏😊
As someone from Idaho, this video is super misleading. It's not worth it to travel here. The Sawtooths are just some mountains, Craters of the Moon monument is just some rocks, and Hells Canyon is just a hole in the ground. There are definitely good reasons why Idaho doesn't have any National Parks ;)
Craters of the Moon isn't a National "Park", but is a National Preserve, so technically it qualifies.
This was an excellent video! Just subscribed! Can I ask what the hike back was like- was it out and back? Or a loop? Thanks!
Thanks! We did an out an back, however you could make it a loop by doing a couple extra miles and going through chesler park
I think Idaho is smart to shy away from national parks.
Hells Gate State park is the closest to national parks.
I think that it's better without national parks because I live in Idaho and I don't want to pay or something like that just to drive like 30 minutes to get there.
Im from Washington state. I've never been to Youdaho because I don't want to get shot and beaten to death by the locals. I don't care what the hell they have.
Idaho has craters of the moon. It's basically a national park.
Did you watch the video??
I mean to be fair like 50 sq miles of Yellowstone is inside Idaho
Delete this video right now
Yes we have a National Park here in Idaho! It's called Yellowstone National Park. Look up "Zone of Death!"
allows grazing/protects the land......ummmm
National parks cause population density and exploding real estate costs
13:43 is the highlight of this entire video.
Glacier waterton national Park and Yellowstone national Park are not that far away. I'd take a moment and plan a trip to glacier waterton. It's more exciting to see than Yellowstone. Idaho the complete state is a park. WELCOME TO THE ZOO!
Idaho is one of the biggest undeveloped wilderness state. You can be in the forest for miles and never see another person.
Yellowstone.... delete this.

I thought part of yellowstone was in idaho

I'm from Idaho, but moved to Colorado a few years ago. I didn''t realize this until i saw your video on why it felt off when i went to go in the mountains here in general. it feels like I can't go anywhere here in Colorado like when I grew up.
We in Idaho do not want or need a national park. The state is already overrun with tourists and others who want to turn Idaho into California. I live near Yellowstone and never go there because it's like Walmart on Saturday afternoon. We already have multiple large wilderness areas and the Craters of the Moon National monument. Want to ruin a beautiful place? Turn it into a National Park. Leave Idaho as it is!!!!
Craters of the Moon doesn't count?
"I do know about the tiny sliver of Yellowstone inside of Idaho, and I... I do not care." HAHAHAHA
Yellowstone has a piece of Idaho it. Look at the map. This isn't exactly true.

i love being idahoan for this reason! gotta love surprising the occasional tourist with the sawtooths
Dear California, Iowa is better. Go there instead.
Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve
Technically, Idaho does have some of Yellowstone National Park within the border.
A little bit of Yellowstone park is in Idaho (along with Montana and Wyoming).
As an Idaho resident living in Oakley city of rock 20 miles behind me it is fucking gorgeous and would be Great at a national park
Craters of the moon in Idaho is a national park.
That's why Idaho is so underrated. There are very few tourists in Idaho comparing to other states, which makes Idaho a good place for introverts
Idaho isn't even real don't come here nothing to see go to Utah its right there.
All those National Parks and tourists in surrounding states, including Utah make Idaho look like it doesn't even exist
Awesome video!
Seems to be a marketing film by somebody who has National Park contracts. Idaho is so fortunate to not have the burden of National Parks. They have many beautiful places that residents can visit without all the restrictions of the parks. They also have the ability to manage the land effectively which no National Park does. National Parks are marked by massive fires, human erosion, and suppression of economic activity. In Utah, people suffer from loss of economic growth from agriculture and excessive property taxes because so much of the state is owned by the federal government. You also have management by people who do not understand the area. Example: This video completely overlooks the most beautiful parts of Idaho. My guess is because they are not familiar with them. Idaho, keep up the good work!
What are the most beautiful parts of Idaho to you?
"Designating" land as a national park means nationalizing private property, and forcing the people living there out. Is this really the road you want to go down?
Unfortunately Obama had used so called national monuments as an excuse to kick ranchers off prime grazing land.
So the hicks of Idaho needed to keep exploiting the land.. nice
The US federal Government is the #1 land owner in America, why? Give the majority of that land to US citizens to settle on and start new lives!
Well put, Idaho is plenty busy as it is already!
The more you can keep the Federal Government out of, the better. That means everything.
Idaho has a national monument Craters of the Moon. I've been there and it's quite a spectacular place!!
Tourism welcome, but coming here and buying multiple houses isn't welcome. A Californian bought three houses next to me in a city with almost ZERO amenities, WAY overpaid for those houses by double and expects a return on investment... It doesn't matter because he could have bought 10 houses for the same price as his one he sold in California... He will be dead before he sees a return on investment (people aren't paying California rent prices to commute 40 miles of icy roads to work), but the housing prices will remain high because of him... And I prefer home OWNER's living next to me rather than renters. If you're from California and you think you can just buy 3 houses in a rural town and have a better quality of life, you're wrong... people here won't pay 2k/month for nearly anything. Maybe in Boise someone will but not an hour out from Boise... Still there goes the problem, one Californian does it, then others see 5 houses sold in a city of 1500 people for $400,000 then the next guy buys 5 more houses, and the next and next... Then the whole city wonders why they can't afford to live somewhere there ARE NO JOBS.... Now why would anyone RENT here? Well the property owners seem to wonder about the SAME thing (or maybe they're too stupid)... Doesn't seem to affect the property value at all somehow. I don't plan on moving... my property could crash to 5% of what we paid and I would REJOICE, I'd laugh my ass off seeing those pricey properties unable to make a return on investment for 40 years... as is it'll be 20 years for sure. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
The whole state is a national park!
Idaho's mountains are beautiful but their politics are hostile to public health. They have an outflow of doctors to Washington state (a variety of reasons). Sad.
1:17 talk about overlooking places, I didn’t hear the one state that has all 3 of those features mentioned
Hey, I worked for the Greyhound Bus Company and we had service to the Western gate at and for Yellowstone. So that had the park overlap into Idaho..
