Man, that little fish makes me feel very irrelevant for some reason. All these different creatures experiencing reality in some form. The idea of some fish being born and living out it's entire life inside a single little pool of water 3.5 hours deep into some mostly unknown cave is about the loneliest thing i can think of, and there are millions upon millions of creatures in similar situations. Darwinism is such an ice cold indifferent reality to come to terms with, it's no surprise people have been trying to come up with literally anything else to explain this sort of stuff. I find it endlessly fascinating at the same time though

    • @Avicenna_the_Persian

      God says in the Quran:
"Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"
The first part of the verse is clearly talking about the Big Bang theory that world had a starting point, and that the whole universe was once a mass which then split apart and started expanding since then(which is clearly mentioned in the Quran)
The second part is mentioning that God created from water every living thing, which is also true according to modern science.
70 to 76% of the majority of living species' bodies is water.
Also while searching for life on other planets, we try to see if there is water on that planet or not. Wherever there is water, there is also life; like that fish in the small pool in the cave.

In case anyone was wondering the fish towards the end (@14:55) is a sculpin, I think it may be a banded sculpin or a mottled sculpin. For the location it's most likely a mottled sculpin.
Here's some facts if anyone's interested:
Sculpins live in cave streams, springs, and surface streams. Individuals will migrate between underground and aboveground habitats, with adults more often being found in the cave portions of streams and juveniles in surface springs and streams. Sculpins use stream pools and areas under rocks that offer more protection to hide in..You can find them in both pool and riffle areas with a variety of substrates including silt or gravel, as seen in this video. Just something interesting I thought I'd put out here. Pretty cool that they happened to see one as some sculpins are endangered species, such as the grotto sculpin.

This cave is only a few miles from my house!
I've been in it many times. As soon as you get to the front of the entrance, your blasted with nice cold air. Something most people don't mention, is how hot it feels once you get out and touch the normal air again.. Feels like your gonna burn up!
Its got some pretty dangerous drop offs and some interesting rope climbs and descents. If you go back far enough, you'll travel trough a some rooms, and a nice snake shaped pathway, and eventually there is a nice waterfall you get to wash all the mud off of you.
Leading up through the main room there are a few passage ways that go up and to the top on the sides you can repel down at least 100ft. I did it once with a friend and it was terrifying!
Also a little up the mountain, only a few turns up, there is a beautiful waterfall you can hike less than a mile to it and go to the top or the bottom. Very very pretty spot and there is actually a REALLY BIG hidden bird cave (vulture maybe) I found not to far above it.
Also an abandoned hidden car from the pre 1950's era lies hidden off the ride side of the road path about 50 ft or so down just on the turn after the waterfall parking spot. It's easier to spot during the winter
Many other fun things to see and find at Pidgeon Mountain! :)

you are right about the air being much colder near the entrance it is refreshing on a hot day! we went to that waterfall and climbed up near it but didn't see the vulture cave lol it probably was a vulture we see a lot of them in rock crevices and mines that is where they live. we did however see the car near the road! it looked like someone was driving too fast and went tumbling down the mountainside until hitting a tree. there is so much to see at pigeon mountain!

Unlike some other caves in the area. One I can't remember the name. But we repelled bout 80 or 100 ft down. Once inside we started descending 5 of us head first down a long thin shaft ( it sounds gay but it wasn't I swear so don't give me a hard time about it. ) all in single file with about an average of 6 inches best on each side and about the same from our backs to the top of the shaft. Totally unable to turn around and each blocked by the person Infront of and behind us doing a belly crawl headfirst at about a 45 degree angle about 5 minutes in we all stoped we all realized that we in big time trouble. It was raining when we repelled into the entrance once inside it was huge in the main chamber then there was a tube we walked through that was long and about 15 to 20 ft high. I remember looking at the ceiling and thinking how weird there is leaves stuck to the ceiling. It was like God stoped up in our tracks and said hey retards if you don't get out now you won't get out. I have no idea how long it took us to crawl backwards up hill it seemed like forever but it was probably a world record team ascent. We decided we were too stupid to continue this hobby. So from then on we just told the wives we were caving and just got drunk in the woods instead.

Exploring a cave for the first time was an eye-opening experience, revealing a fear I never knew I had: claustrophobia. As I descended into the depths, the sense of confinement amplified my anxiety. Despite knowing I was physically capable, a persistent fear lingered, convincing me I might not find my way back.
Watching my brother disappear into narrow crevices triggered an instinctual reluctance, yet the fear of isolation compelled me to follow suit. The fear of abandonment outweighed the fear of the unknown, propelling me into spaces I initially deemed impassable.
Water added another layer of intensity, intensifying the eerie atmosphere. The unnerving combination of enclosed spaces and water heightened the entire adventure, making it a harrowing yet unforgettable escapade.

When I was a child, I would get recurrent nightmares about getting stuck in a place like this. There would be an opening but it was always too small to get through. Terrifying.
