Batchoy ang una mo maiisip kapag food trip sa Iloilo. Being a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, Iloilo is so much more than batchoy and this Iloilo food trip is proof!

From the name itself Tatoy's Manok. It's funny the last time I ate there 20 yrs ago and I ordered Talaba. The best KBL, should be pig's feet (pig trotters). To make a very good hot or "Anghang" Kinilaw? Is without coconut milk or Mayonnaise. I grew up in Iloilo but there is no restaurant known for Pancit Molo. Unlike Lapaz Batchoy. I only eat Pancit Molo in Molo during Fiestas. Unlike other Fiestas, Pancit Molo was prepared. Shrimp, pork and chicken are the main protein. It's close to "Wonton Noodles" not dim sum noodle. Enough said of Robertos. In the late 70s and early 80s, there is a restaurant known for it's dishes especially Siopao and much better than Robertos. The problem it has to be closed down. It got caught using Meow Meow!

i have been to iloilo. 3 times. But i only had the Batchoy and the Inasal. im not a fan of Batchoy. Because i love Vietnamese noodoes and noodles from China and Laos. But I will visit iloilo again this year. I want to try Kansi.

wow, sir jayzar thank you for replying on my comment sa batchoy vlog mo. after watching this vlog, i also want to thank you for showcasing ilonggo cuisines.you should try alimusang adobado in nora’s eatery in soler st., city proper or in tytche in jaro coastal. nora’s eatery is a small eatery but it has been here in the city since my grandfather’s days in 1960’s. isdang mangagat 2 ways, ulo for sinabawan and yung katawan for sinugba. yung adobong pusit ang itim at ang sarap ng ink nya at ang simpleng sugbang baboy. sa tytche aside sa adobado, talaba is also good, kinilaw nga hipon, grilled boneless bangus at salad na lato, buttered shrimp. another one is also kong kee restaurant in festive walk mall or in pavia sa town center. masarap din ang siopao nila at mura pa and toasted bihon. mahilig din kami sa gulay. i wish may small carinderias ka na makita at matikman mo ang locally made gulay dishes. salamat at binabasa at nagrereply ka sa mga viewers mo. have fun po sa iloilo. ❤❤
