    I was completely sold on the Ioniq 5. I got the base trim RWD version and it's been a joy to own. That said, the Ioniq 6 will be tempting based on the price and the availability of the tax credits when it comes to the States.

    This review is the best in detail. The drag coefficient has achieved while maintaining 16cm gap from the ground. Some models has decreased the gap to reduce the coefficient but the bottom of the car can be damaged easily. Thanks to the low coefficient, the fuel mileage is 6.2 km per kWh which is far better than model 3. The fuel mileage is based on Korea drive mode which is similar as EPA cycle but the winter mode is more harsh condition.

      Infotainment can be better IMO. Having an infotainment screen that’s highly utilizable is great for charging. Clearly, you can’t play something like Cuphead or watch Disney+ on the screen of the IONIQ 5. Nonetheless, looks like a great car but I’d still rather have the Model 3. Hope Hyundai improves things like infotainment system. Being a South Korean company, they could partner with LG Electronics or Samsung to put in a nice, 15 inch AMOLED screen.

    After seeing the Hyundai Ioniq 6 prototype at the Hyundai Motor Studio Senayan Park Jakarta, I believe this car will dominate the EV sedan in Indonesia, just like its predecessor Kona EV & Ioniq 5 which was produced at the Hyundai factory in Indonesia.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว

      How many IONIQ and Hyundai EVs do you see in Indonesia?

    • @AbiManyu-mv3ly
      @AbiManyu-mv3ly ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CarSceneKorea Since the launch of the first Ioniq sedan and Kona EV, they have dominated the EV market in Indonesia and we can see a lot of them on the streets today ( if we compared to the number of Teslas or Nissan Leafs on the streets )
      Consumers in Indonesia to order Ioniq 5 at this time they have to wait 6 months to receive the car due of the large number of orders.
      However, Hyundai must immediately launch a cheaper electric car, because the Chinese manufacturer Wuling Motor has just launched the Air EV electric car which is produced at the Wuling Indonesia factory at a much cheaper price than Ioniq.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video. I am currently on the waiting list for this car. I will have to buy it before I see it if I want to get it when it's launched and not wait months. My biggest concern is trunk size. You are one of the few videos i have seen it so clearly on. Thank you for that. It's always hard to judge on video. You call it "not bad" and it looked quite big on your shots. Is it Model 3 size or close? Or at least big enough for a couple of large suitcases side by side? Is there extra space under the trunk? Thanks in advance :)

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure about the extra space underneath, but it's probably occupied with emergency puncture kits and so on. I don't have exact measurements obviously, but I6 trunk seemed larger than Model 3 at a glance, but by slightly if so. It is said that I6 can fit 2 golf bags easy. Not bad for a sedan I said, I think it's one of the largest given the class of the car + the fastback design.

    • @andhdias
      @andhdias ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarSceneKorea Great. Yeah I saw the golf bags comments by the designers but if it was sideways and not in depth it's quite a different thing.
      But if you think it looked bigger (or as big) as the M3 then that seals the deal for us. If it is priced as the Ioniq 5 or at least under the tesla I believe we are getting one.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sure does come with a sedan's trunk size and met my expectation. Not something that people'd say it's super huge, but I doubt that anyone would say it's tiny.

    • @andhdias
      @andhdias ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarSceneKorea sounds good. It was a concern, specially because it appeared to be deliberately absent from videos (some stating we can't show it). I was afraid Hyundai were hiding it because it was so small. But as long as it can take a couple of large suitcases and a small one it's fine for a family trip.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah, those earliest reviews on IONIQ 6 shot in the UK were pre-production models hence the restriction. Ones shown on my vid are also early stage production models, but should nearly be identical to ones we'd be getting.

    Awesome review .... I've had my eye on Sonata N/G70/Stinger/KIA GT whatever gas but now highly leanining towards EV Ionic 6. The main reason is this . I believe when it is available it will be the absolute best Hyundai can do at this point in time and the build quality will be absolutely outstanding, due to being an important vehicle to the future EV push. My last 16 -17 years I've thoroughly enjoyed my Sonata LX. Phantom Black 2006 Hyundai Sonata LX 3.3 V6 (Lamda 1) that has absolutely made me smile on every commute since. This car still looks freakin "modern " in 2022 (better than Tesla ) this particular car was among the first to roll out of Hyuandais new made in USA Alabama plant and it shows (no subsequent Engine snafus..just raw V6 power). I understand the future is EV and Fuel Cell.... I might be very tempted to grab White Ioniq 6 , a color very like my 1989 Mustang LX 5.0. in Phantom Grey which also was a great car and faster than a 5.0 GT... love all these cars that were MY CHOICE. Great job Hyundai you may have got an anti EV person to take a chance on you nailing an EV move on for me. I love GAS but this car is awesome., I like supporting the environment for future gens . Now the only question is do I wait for the N version? of the Ionique 6? Or repest history and just buy first off the line? At lunch?

    i love the car - but - the lower part of each bumper (front and rear) look weird. If they couldn't make the finished car look like the concept car, then they should just go ahead and make the front and rear different. This car is super elegant and smooth - the lower rear bumper (that weird black portion) really breaks up the bumper and makes it look strange. Hyundai is truly making some remarkable cars lately - they just need to work on the details - sometimes they do TOO much. Great review - thanks!
