Thank you for posting this video, nice to see and hear Randy talking,so humble and yet he was so talented, had a great voice and a good looking man,so sad that he's gone.missing you Randy.thank you for your songs and music
The most talented Eagle by far and such a gentleman . The world needs more people like you. Rest easy Randy. I hope you knew how loved and respected you were by your many fans.❤
Man ,my heart breaks that you are gone . Your are an incredible singer .The eagles needed you more then they thought . Icon of a voice . You are the eagles . Its really sad ,you are gone .Rest in peace .
I was born in 1964, and it's always difficult for me when another music legend that I grew up listening to passes away, but the deaths of Mike Nesmith and Randy Meisner each felt like such a big punch in the gut. More of my childhood slipping away, the best memories...
I think it hit all of us hard when we lost Randy and you know the Eagles was a big part of our lives back in the seventies God I just love them and loved Randy his his personality was so sweet love you buddy Randy rest in peace❤❤
during one of his "sabbaticals", i met randy playing acoustic guitar on daytona beach. he was alone, just playing his guitar and singing was talkative and friendly with everyone that was around.
Thanks for keeping Rick's memory alive. Rick was truly a magnificent performer and person. Certainly underappreciated and deserved much more credit as a game changer in the music industry.
My brother and I saw Rick and his band at the John Wayne Theatre at Knott's Berry Farm back in the day. We knew of his steel player, Brumley, but I had no idea we had also seen Randy! Great interview with a sweet, talented man. ♥
This is crazy I came across this I was there in Colorado I remember sitting in with Soul Survivors my band became Sugarloaf, Rick Roberts others in Boulder.
"Still works pretty good"...(talking about "Take It To The Limit") is an understatement if there ever was one. It's a great song and his vocal is what makes it that much greater.
Same here. I couldn’t wait to watch him sing at the end of the show. He inspired me to ask my folks for a guitar when I was 10. And I still love playing along to his songs. R.I.P. Ricky & Randy .
I always wanted to see the end of the show as well, to see Rick and his Band at the end!!! He was somewhat of an influence on me playing guitar. I switched to bass a few years later.
I actually bought Rick Nelson in Concert b/c his Pedal Steel guitar player was Tom Brumley from Buck Owens Buckaroos; I loved Tom Brumley, and I liked Rick Nelson doing a small group as opposed to Elvis being "The King" and surrounded by people, which was okay for Elvis, but I admired Rick Nelson 's simplicity;
Typical Nebraska boy.....meaning he is a gentleman during verbal discourse and often they're just so very down to Earth....like you're seeing in this vid now. I'm not bragging, but I'm a 4th gen Nebraska boy. Of course there are jerks anywhere, but by and large, these folks a just real down to Earth and unassuming. Such a wonderful trait, and kind of a dying breed in that respect.
Yes. It's out of style in the United States to be polite and well mannered. Academics and the media won't admit it, but mothers aren't raising their kids, and communities have fallen apart. Which does not fit the feminist narrative, or fuel the economy.
Bernie Leadon never harmed Randy ! Bernie left Eagles in 1975 when he saw it becoming “the Glen and Don show”, as he said in a interview on John Beaudin’s Rock History Music YT channel.
I absolutely cringe every time I hear an interview like this. The guy asking these incredibly shallow questions probably cringes now when he listens back at this.

@@ricknelsonfan Randy. There was that "thing" about Randy that made you know he was so Special...
Randy was just a regular guy. A country boy. Also the best looking ywith the coolest hair.
Yess but I think ricks hair in the 70s is just 😘👌
The polar opposite of Glen Frey and Don Henley, really great musician and nice guy.
Been a Rick Nelson fan since he was Ricky in 1957 and his music never gets old for me. Randy was a great asset to the Stone Canyon Band.

Randy Meisner ,the best singer of the Eagles!!!! ❤The Eagles should never have let him go. He derserved all respect. Very nice man too!
I think that Glen always resented Randy being so much better looking than him.
@@joefitzpatrick7563He deserved Better. We love you, Randy.
Rest In Peace beautiful Randy
Such a soft spoken guy and the best singer in the band, which ever band it happens to be.

@@bobbiedingman1314Absolutely. A great guy. Supremely talented. ❤
What a lucky thing for you!
Love this! Thx for sharing. You don't see many interviews with Randy, he was shy and a sweetheart guy for sure.
What a sweet man. Like Timothy B Schmit. Two gentlemen. The other 5 guys are (was) all really fine people too, but the 2 bassists, the kindest of all.
Him and Rick (Nelson) seem really sweet.
What a nice guy. No pretensions. Ever.
Everyone Loved Randy. Everyone.
In his younger years he was such a handsome beautiful talented man with a velvet voice and he certainly rocked that vocal range!
Most of us are.
It doesn't matter how old you are. We love Randy. We always did. Enough said.
RIP Randy. You left us some Classic records, but far from enough. We miss you, your humility, talent, and shyness.❤❤
❤Randy was 1 of a Kind. Talented and Brilliant 👏 😢❤❤❤🎉
I hope he knows how much he is loved.
Wonderful interview revealing a lot about Randy's personality.

Yess, thank you so much for your kind words you are absolutely correct he is not given enough credit and is a pioneer in rock and roll and soft rock!
Had no idea that Randy played with Ricks band. Amazing musician ❤️
Randy and Rick with the Stone Canyon band is fantastic

of good music. RIP. Randy

Too many hands is definitely a good song overlooked in the Eagles catalog.
"Gotta Get Away" also is so good. Randy was The Best, especially in that video.
My favourite song by Randy is Is It True? Heartrending. So beautiful.
"Still works pretty good"...(talking about "Take It To The Limit") is an understatement if there ever was one. It's a great song and his vocal is what makes it that much greater.
Thanks for posting. I enjoyed it very much. I grew up in the 70s and listened to the Eagles on a transistor radio.
Ricky Nelson was a major reason I got into music...
Watching him with the band at the end of an *OZZIE AND HARRIET* episode was a big influencer.

I like Ricky Nelson's music. He was a really nice dude too.
