It's a pity that so many American tourists go to Tower Bridge ( built 1886), but don't visit the Tower of London (partly built 1090). I know it may be expensive, but the history is immense. And the Yeomen Warders give highly entertaining tours.

Speaking as a Brit, it’s so easy for us to just see concrete and rain but you are reminding me that it’s cool and beautiful in its own way. And double deckers are so much fun. Got to ride top front!
There are a couple of famous cats who live in London. The speaker of the House of Commons has just got a new cat and that cat lives inside Parliament right by Big Ben tower. There is also a cat in the foreign office, and one who lives in number 10 Downing Street. They don’t get on with each other!
Sometimes as an ex-London Balck Cab driver of 31yrs (still have my badge/medallion) its so frustrating watching tourist videos as they walk straight past some absolute gems to explore and missing out on some of the incredibly poignant historic meaning at certain venues. Next time you come to London, drop us a line and me and my wife Joanna will be your tour guide! Great video ,lots of fun to watch whilst we chomped on our breakfast 😂 Ps:the opening scene was the back entrance to the House of Lords /St Stephens hall in Abingdon St and you was watching peers and Lords and civil Servant or lobbyist going into work at their chambers or for a debate? That’s why the police presence was so heavy.
My first time in Washington DC I got to my hotel late afternoon and they booked me into an evening tour of monuments and landmark buildings, so the next day, I was able to re-visit things I wanted to see more of and not waste time with the others. I reckon its a good strategy for a new city.
Well done, picking up on Sir Horace Jones. These anecdotes give colour to travel pieces. I've just been writing about an 18th century wealthy landowner who forced a canal engineer to dig a long tunnel because he didn't want the canal to go through his estate... only he died a year later, so he never go to enjoy his canal-free view!
What a cheerful lovely couple you are. You were unlucky to have such cold temperatures, as it most often it's not that cold. It was good to see that you never let it spoil your enthusiasm.

You should take the Uber boat down to Greenwich, which is amazing. It is a great way to tour the river. The park is beautiful & there are alot of good pubs, also the market. Tourists often don't go & they really miss out. They film there alot, Bridgerton, The Crown, Pirates of the Caribbean. The Painted Hall is the 🇬🇧 Sistine Chapel.
I’d say Thames River Boat cruises are better- local London family run with the most interesting and humorous commentary. Goes the same route from Westminster Pier down to Greenwich but so much better that Uber.

Curry chicken sandwich is called a Coronation Chicken Sandwich. You can find them at any Tesco , Sainsbury’s, Waitrose or Coop food store. To save money do a meal deal 1 x sandwich, 1 x drink 1 x crisp (chips) or chocolate (candy) bar or 1 x danish (on price label they tell you if part of meal deal) 😳 you can also get a coronation chicken sandwich at Starbucks, Cafe Nero or Costa coffee shops!

Loving your enthusiasm .. London is not somewhere you can be shown around in a couple of hours .. however some research on areas you want to visit is always a good idea. Go into the Tower Of London and there are free tours/talks all the time once you've paid to go in .. also lots of information. You are then standing in a building that was built in 1078 by William the Conqueror. A little tip for anyone else visiting in the winter .. get some thermals .. trousers and long sleeved t-shirt thermals .. you don't have to bulk up but will be toasty warm.
I naively thought the phone snatching was blown out of proportion and sensationalized in the media, but they were really out there snatching phones. That was wild.
Try not to use Google maps on one's phone but get a pocket sized A-Z and a paper tube /bus map, no one is going to snatch those. If using the phone stand close to a wall with the phone in the hand closest to it, not in the middle of the pavement. Do not place phones on restaurant tables whilst eating, keep in pocket.

Winter is a good time to see London as a lot of tourist spots are not so busy as in the summer. But you need to take care if you venture to places outside London as some tourist attractions shut down for the winter. Many stately homes close in about early October and open again at Easter though some of them open up for Christmas with the house decorated and lots of lights and some have craft stalls, like the Christmas market you saw, too to buy handmade presents.

Hey Patricia, the beautiful bridge they went on was tower bridge. London Bridge is a different bridge higher upstream, not worth visiting in my opinion as it’s very boring and plain to look at! Ive often wondered if they are fun/ worth it. I've also never seen one of those phone tethers before, but i think im going to get one!👍👍
There isn't as much vehicle traffic in London because - I would suggest - it's a legacy of the Mayor's introduction of firstly, the congestion charge for entering central London, and then secondly, introducing the ultra low emissions zone. Which, if your car isn't ULEZ compliant, see's you being charged for just being parked outside your house. But the net result is probably less people taking private cars into London.

I lived in Germany for 3 years and almost every night went to the little wooden take away hut and would have currywurst and chips (fries) and the frozen ones from Aldi are almost as good.
Thanks for subscribing!! We rarely shop at Aldi but I think we might have to go check that out!
@ I only saw it by chance while my friend was shopping there. It's well worth a visit. Or maybe phone them up first to ask if they sell it. Save you a journey.✌
CORONATION CHICKEN sandwich - try one from Pret a Manger
If you want to see Tower Bridge opening, you can get the times on the website. Boats have to book 24h in advance, so it also shows the name of vessel passing through
Love watching your vlog thanks for taking us with you guys ❤
Hsve you tried like Yorkshire etc..friendly and Lake District Wales Cornwall Scotland goes on forever..
id recommend Covent garden they have nice Christmas stuff :)
We did check that out later!
I'm not sure how many days ago this was filmed but it really isn't that cold yet.
If you like the glass floor, you should try the one at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto. It is MUCH higher! I'm surprised how you are always on about how cold it is there as Atlanta Georgia, not that far from where you're from has COLDER winters!
04:25 THAT is the National Gallery. There is no such thing as "The National Museum". 😜
There is the British Museum tho, which is also cool. 👍
Enjoy the Christmas and holiday season market. Those phone 📱 tithers been around for awhile and work for all kind stuff. Lot people use them for work keys or key cards.
London looks amazing at night.
We wemt handmade events in Pittsburgh so call see people and what make and sell in home city. Bought few things even homemade champagne 🍾 hard cider. Only took few videos very hard all people
Laura and Fain, it sounds like walking around in London is just like walking around in New York City. Everyone walks fast there and any which way they want so I would assume it’s just like walking there.
A lot of people work in London. It’s a working city. I worked there in different jobs and was always rushing to and from work. I worked in Westminster and used to get so annoyed at tourists just ambling along, blocking the pavements 😂😂😂
another great vlog x
Thank you!! 😊
Beautiful video 🎄 ❤❤ such a magical place in Christmas! Have fun in London 😊 happy holidays Travelspree!!
Happy Holidays to you too!

How long is the tour?
@TravelSpreeOfficial one hour with a Beefeater, then it's up to you for the Jewel house( and don't compare your engagement ring). Then you have the white tower etc. There atr TH-cam videos on it.
