It really cool to fall in love with a city, then bring someone back you love and watch them see it and fall for it the first time as well.

It's a pity that so many American tourists go to Tower Bridge ( built 1886), but don't visit the Tower of London (partly built 1090). I know it may be expensive, but the history is immense. And the Yeomen Warders give highly entertaining tours.

There are a couple of famous cats who live in London. The speaker of the House of Commons has just got a new cat and that cat lives inside Parliament right by Big Ben tower. There is also a cat in the foreign office, and one who lives in number 10 Downing Street. They don’t get on with each other!

Sometimes as an ex-London Balck Cab driver of 31yrs (still have my badge/medallion) its so frustrating watching tourist videos as they walk straight past some absolute gems to explore and missing out on some of the incredibly poignant historic meaning at certain venues.
Next time you come to London, drop us a line and me and my wife Joanna will be your tour guide!
Great video ,lots of fun to watch whilst we chomped on our breakfast 😂
Ps:the opening scene was the back entrance to the House of Lords /St Stephens hall in Abingdon St and you was watching peers and Lords and civil Servant or lobbyist going into work at their chambers or for a debate? That’s why the police presence was so heavy.

My first time in Washington DC I got to my hotel late afternoon and they booked me into an evening tour of monuments and landmark buildings, so the next day, I was able to re-visit things I wanted to see more of and not waste time with the others. I reckon its a good strategy for a new city.

You should take the Uber boat down to Greenwich, which is amazing. It is a great way to tour the river. The park is beautiful & there are alot of good pubs, also the market. Tourists often don't go & they really miss out. They film there alot, Bridgerton, The Crown, Pirates of the Caribbean. The Painted Hall is the 🇬🇧 Sistine Chapel.

To save money do a meal deal 1 x sandwich, 1 x drink 1 x crisp (chips) or chocolate (candy) bar or 1 x danish (on price label they tell you if part of meal deal) 😳 you can also get a coronation chicken sandwich at Starbucks, Cafe Nero or Costa coffee shops!

Going to the UK, London in the winter(December) is an upside & a downside. Downside the weather is very cold and wet, the upside is all the Christmas markets, lights etc. I hope you guys check out Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, that's a must when in London during the Christmas period.

No!!!! Never go to Winter Wonderland. It is a complete and utter rip off. Expensive. It’s gets so crowded you can’t see anything, literally just a sea of people. The stalls are overpriced tat and the few rides are extortionate. Never, ever go there. It’s just overpriced food and drinks, a couple of rides and stalls of very very expensive nonsense.

Loving your enthusiasm .. London is not somewhere you can be shown around in a couple of hours .. however some research on areas you want to visit is always a good idea. Go into the Tower Of London and there are free tours/talks all the time once you've paid to go in .. also lots of information. You are then standing in a building that was built in 1078 by William the Conqueror. A little tip for anyone else visiting in the winter .. get some thermals .. trousers and long sleeved t-shirt thermals .. you don't have to bulk up but will be toasty warm.

If using the phone stand close to a wall with the phone in the hand closest to it, not in the middle of the pavement. Do not place phones on restaurant tables whilst eating, keep in pocket.

Winter is a good time to see London as a lot of tourist spots are not so busy as in the summer. But you need to take care if you venture to places outside London as some tourist attractions shut down for the winter. Many stately homes close in about early October and open again at Easter though some of them open up for Christmas with the house decorated and lots of lights and some have craft stalls, like the Christmas market you saw, too to buy handmade presents.

If you're missing your cat (s) , there are quite a few 'Cat Cafe's ' in London where you can have afternoon tea ( including that chicken curry sandwich aka Coronation Chicken you crave :) ) and interact with cats and kittens . They are usually rescued kitties who are mostly available to adopt and any entrance fees you pay on top of the cost of food goes towards the cat's care i.e food & vet bills . Oh , and you can pop into any supermarket like M& S ( Marks & Spencer's) and grab a takeaway Coronation chicken sandwich ! ;)

There isn't as much vehicle traffic in London because - I would suggest - it's a legacy of the Mayor's introduction of firstly, the congestion charge for entering central London, and then secondly, introducing the ultra low emissions zone. Which, if your car isn't ULEZ compliant, see's you being charged for just being parked outside your house. But the net result is probably less people taking private cars into London.

Over winter there’s not a lot of daylight hours. London is actually further north than about 90% of Canadians. It’s not as cold but it’s humid. So the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer can really get to you. It is however only hot for about 2 weeks in summer and cold weather and winter drags on for about 6 months. 🙀

i hate to say the whole tour bus thing is the biggest mistake visitors make. For less than the price you pay you can buy a travel card which allows you to travel the whole of london for a day.
yes on the tour they talk about the sights but a cheap book about places does the same thing.

Great video. I've subbed👍 You mentioned currywurst. Well I'm fairly sure you have got Aldi in USA, they sell them in the frozen section here in UK so I imagine they would in US. They are very tasty. I lived in Germany for 3 years and almost every night went to the little wooden take away hut and would have currywurst and chips (fries) and the frozen ones from Aldi are almost as good.
