Just to put it into perspective... Roald Dahl was part of the British National Curriculum for Primary schools (as books to read to class and have available for free reading). I don't know if it still is, but his books will definitely still be in schools. So don't feel out of place, it's a very British thing.
Funfactlet: Roald Dahl was involved in creating in conjunction with a toymaker a better drain for draining excess fluids from craniums. His kid had been involved in an accident which resulted in excess fluid pressuring his brain, the hospital put in a drain which kept clogging. The NHS still uses Dahl's drain.

The thing I love about good adverts - they have the budget of a small movie for a couple of minutes material tops, which means there’s huge opportunity for creativity and also massive development within the technology of filmmaking. Remember the hula-hopping mouse advert? The 3D animation development used in that led to the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. How cool is that?

That is not the majority of the Country, and in fact Yorkshire has had 26 white christmasses but most of these are in high lying areas. The big freeze of 1963/64 which lasted from December 19 to around early April, Leeda had snow on December 26th, and it stayed for 3 months. But that still wasn't a white christmas. 1979 had heavy snow, but not at Christmas. They are rare and tha last was 210.

I liked The Shaun the sheep ad best, the Boots advert has had some backlash because of the black woman, because she made a comment about the Kings Coronation saying that it was terribly white and people complained.

It's actually advent before Christmas day. Tradionally Christmas starts on Christmas day followed by 11 days, making 12 in total.
