    Can tooth decay like upper wisdom cause nodular achne on scalp head

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Tooth decay, including that in the upper wisdom teeth, is not typically directly linked to the development of nodular acne on the scalp. Scalp pimples or nodular acne are usually caused by factors like blocked hair follicles, hormonal changes, bacteria, or excessive oil production in the scalp. However, severe tooth decay and dental infections can potentially impact overall health and may indirectly affect the skin, as the body's immune system is engaged in fighting the infection. It's always advisable to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment for both dental issues and skin conditions.

    Can i use Dettol antiseptic

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @seithgama6142 Dettol antiseptic is commonly used for cleaning wounds and disinfecting surfaces, but it’s generally not recommended for use on the skin without dilution, as it can be too harsh and potentially cause irritation. If you're looking to treat skin conditions, it’s better to use products specifically designed for skincare. For any skin concerns, especially if you're unsure, it's always a good idea to consult a healthcare professional or dermatologist for advice.

    Will hair grow back in those areas

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Scalp pimples, also known as scalp acne, can sometimes cause hair loss if they become severe and lead to scarring. In most cases, if the pimples are not severe and do not cause scarring, hair should grow back once the underlying skin condition is treated and the follicles are no longer inflamed. However, it's important to consult a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan to address the specific causes of the scalp pimples and any associated hair loss.

    So my dad and brother have folicullitus but I’m curious or more stressed about it. I have oily hair and sweat a lot. These red bumps only happened these past few weeks since I’ve been working out from sweating. I’m scared of folliculitus cause I don’t want to go bald but I have very few folliculitus bumps so I’m curious is it either folliculitus or is it excess sebum and sweat.

      @Zain-hh8jk Ouch! Scalp pimples can be super painful, especially when popped. It's best to avoid popping them to prevent infection and scarring. Instead, try using a gentle medicated shampoo or a warm compress to help reduce the inflammation. Hang in there, and hopefully, the pain eases up soon! 😊

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SomyaEbrahimi Scalp pimples are usually caused by clogged pores, oil buildup, or infections and are not typically a sign of cancer. • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @AdamHekel Using a face wash on your scalp isn’t ideal because it’s formulated for facial skin, which is different from scalp skin. It's best to use a shampoo specifically designed for scalp issues, such as one that contains ingredients like salicylic acid, tea tree oil, or ketoconazole, which can help manage scalp acne and other concerns. These products are tailored to address scalp conditions and are more effective than face washes for this purpose. If the problem persists, consider consulting a dermatologist for a personalized treatment plan.
