First crappie of 2024! Shallow water panfishing with a bobber!

Had a little battery power left after filming a catch and cook. Started out throwing worms, got two bluegill, then swapped to a crappie magnet. Got my first crappie of the year fishing about 24” under the float! Good to see these guys moving up shallow to feed!
Fishing has taken off like a rocket since trout opened up here in Pennsylvania. I’ve been hammering them!

Get you a phone case that charges your phone if you want to stay out longer. They usually don’t cost much.

Thats a good idea. For now i have a portable charging bank. Yesterday I filmed for 6 hrs total instead of the usual 2! Pretty handy being able to re charge while I’m hiking around!

Hi mate, I’m new to the channel but your vids are great. Quick question; what fishing line do you use and why? I have braid on my handreel but it tends to ‘stick’ a bit when I cast. It looks like you use fluoro or mono.

I almost exclusively use 8lb monofilament. Zebco omniflex brand!
