I hope your neighbours appreciate the delightful sight of little pigs grazing and having fun outside their windows

yes Jackie they are very happy
      before COVID came along
I was living in another property big two story house taking up all the block and my little ones were on another property where I had a lot of chickens, sheep and so on
I was going to develop this property in to a block of units
had the planning approval from the local government
so the neighbours knew what was coming
but worried about lock downs moved to the old house with the big yard
then a fox came to the farming property and killed a pile of chickens
so I move the little ones
so that is where I am now , all is very good thank you so much

he keeps to him self, has his sleeping spots one during the day and one at night , he looked a bit quite, yesterday so I gave him an apple
he jumped in and had a feed , and moved on to his sleep stop
growing anything is rewarding I feel
I was set to build a block of units here had the plans pass
did not live here at that time but Covid came along and concerns
about lock downs, , decided to move here with a big yard

Good morning Nevenka and Robert from Pgh Pa, it is windy and warm today here . Lots of rain . Typical pittsburgh spring weather. Piggies seem so free and boisterous this morning. The coloring on some of them is quite lovely. Mine love the corn too. The babies are growing so quickly and are so adorable. Do you have larger hawks or other critters that might eat them? Here in pgh pa we have coyotes and hawks that will eat our small dogs . We are close to the city center, about a mile and the coyotes still come in this close. Must be very careful letting them out in the yard . Blessings and love to you amazing people. Your videos make a happy start to my long work day. Thank you❤️, Granny

Hello from Ontario Canada, big fan, and I have question, do you check your boars glands? Aka they're genitals for impaction, I've heard it's a must do

    • @robertgrimesabc
      @robertgrimesabc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi welcome Tracy G’day
      hello there Ontario Canada
yes we have to check everything
but in saying that we don’t have any problems with
impaction maybe due to the room and diet and exercise or all three
the little ones don’t suffer from dust in their eyes and lungs
like one in small cages on saw dust
their crawls never need trimming, due to having room to run around
and they don’t get savage and injured by each other
they play rough when they want, but when they had enough they
can find space to get away
there teeth never need trimming as , they have plenty of chewing material, we provide
but health and safety is always on going

no not where I am , well not at this time
but it is always a concern
there is plenty of different predators in Australia

My geography knowledge is the last crap but in Australia there are no birds of prey, right? In Europe, you have to be careful in some places and secure the free-range enclosure from above.

    • @robertgrimesabc

G’day FR13DRICH well yes but not all over
we have the wedge tail eagle is a big big and causes havoc to farms
      with sheep, when lambing
but I have it very good in my location, but you can never let your Gard down
health and safety is so important to us all , no matter where we live
      and it for ever changing
      lovely hearing from you

I love your videos! It's similar to my life but on a much bigger scale. I start and end my days with my two boy Guinea pigs (cleaning their large cage and giving them some veggies and a bit of fruit) and I give them a treat in between... usually a vitamin C cookie.)
The one thing I get a bit stressed about on the videos is seeing the boys attack each other when there isn't enough food set out or when the foods is piled too close together. You have plenty of food. Maybe you get distracted trying to film and talk while you're feeding them? 😊idk I just don't like to see your boys punching each other with their noses as they fight for food. Any ideas for making them less upset while they're eating?

      hi Dawn
thank you so much for your feedback
lovely hearing from you, as always
the boys want to interact with each other, no matter what
they don’t what what is over there they want what the other ones have
but saw a video or part of one the other day
a mother GP having babies on a wire floor
how bad the babies couldn’t stand as their legs fell between the mesh
and the mother as having trouble trying to stand and clean her new babies

When you do their teeth do it hurt or bleed

    • @robertgrimesabc
      @robertgrimesabc  ปีที่แล้ว

      no Kevin
      no blood or no pain
      their teeth are always growing
but given plenty of the right food and chewing material
they manage their teeth as natural
but when we receive as new one that has been in a small cage and
just feed hay or lettuce, their teeth are in need of a trim

Have you had to mow your lawn ? I've had 4 piggies in medium suburban back yard, free roam and have not mow since..... and they poop in the bushes , not the lawn.

@@robertgrimesabc Melbourne, VIC. Gets pretty frosty during winter so picked up a set of drawers on the side of the road and converted it into a multi story hutch. Pull out drawers makes it easy to unload poop :) Luckily, somehow, no cats about in this area.

what do you need to do , and what must you not do
I was a mess once , but a bit of fasting change it , that is my view
      but a different story
wishing you all the best, moving forward
don’t know much about diabetes, reading about something is so very different to suffering from the same
