Perfect. My last V60 recharge had standard USB socket which I used with an SD card adapter so I was fed up that only USB type C were an option on the new car. This has sorted it completely, cheers!
Thank you Antoine. I have applied it and works. Although I wonder why Volvo cannot just make it simple that you connect USB and the audio system simply plays it as in any normal car? The point is that first you have to "hack" the car audio system, then each time you start the car or change the USB memory you have to mingle with the AudioWagon settings. It is somewhat poor for such a car brand.
Thanks a lot, Antoine! You saved my mental health. I’m so happy that I ‘ve finally got the right instructions to play music from my USB. I’m old fashioned and I prefer my “oldies but goldies”, paying for TH-cam Music or Spotify is out of the question.
Downside is you have to 'allow' the app to access the USB every time you start the car- the option to remember doesn't work. And if you start driving before hitting it, that screen counts as a 'can't use while driving' screen. So you have to pull over. Except that 'can't use' screen gets treated by the app as a no. So you have to take out the USB and put it back in, and wait for ten seconds for it to ask you again. Which it won't do about a quarter if the time. Naturally trying to pull this off at a red light is MUCH safer than the one-tap to allow. Not to mention the screen that tells you you can't use it while driving ALSO has a close button. Because it's perfectly save to hit THAT button while driving. Anyone know any workarounds to this? Ideally I'd like it to just go ahead and use the USB without asking every time. Failing that, is there a Hey Google line to give it permission while driving?
