- After our UBS died and we were unable to use Android Auto in our XC60 we took it to Gold Coast Volvo for a diagnostic.
$270 later they had done nothing and told me that it was the hub and the part was over $300 and the job required the whole centre console to be disassembled which would take many hours.
Then, once, reassembled, it would be another couple of hours to "remap the computer" to recognise the new part.
Total cost ? Well over $1000 for a USB Port.
I bought a genuine one online from the UK for $75 (half of that was delivery) and fitted it myself in 5 minutes. Would have been faster but I was fiddling with the phone. I couldnt find a video of how to do this job so I made my own to help anyone who has the same issue.
It works 100% with no remapping and no massive disassembly process.
