My Daddy always made us sing along in the car when this song came on the radio. Such a great memory! We had a sing-along to it at his funeral. He loved The Oak Ridge Boys. Everyone else at the funeral looked at us kids like we were nuts, but we know that Dad would have loved it!
after all these years they still sound just as good today as they did 41 years ago...I was only 3 when this song came out but I loved hearing this song on the radio!!!
Saw them live a year ago. They close the show with this song, after 42 years it still rocks the house. They're all nearing their 80's (William Lee Golden is 83) just not sure how many years of touring they have left. Great people, all of them.
The minute I found out of Joe’s passing, this is the video I wanted to see. Rest in peace kind soul, your memory will live on forever! Rest in peace! 🙏
Lead singer has still got a FANTASTIC VOICE!!! And clearly the bass dude is classic...I genuinely can't make out the other two dudes voices but the two (lead and bass/baritone) are still nearly perfect!
Sending deepest sympathies to Joe's family and loved ones from Australia. My Mum was a line dance instructor in the 90s. This song was one of the songs that she used to teach to. Us kids grew to love it especially because of your wonderful voice. Now our hearts are on fire ❤🔥, R.I.P Joe

Oh no…. I saw him in concert had front row seat. He came up to me and shook my hand several times along with the other members. He was such a nice man the whole group was and they played their number one hit songs! They ended the concert singing “Elvira.” In fact we were the last ones out because we were so close to the stage I was able to set my phone up on the stage while I was dancing and swaying back & forth to their music! They came out after the concert & talked to us the lead singer to Exile who is best know for the hit song "I Want To Kiss You All Over" is married to the lead singer of The Oak Ridge Boys so we also got their autograph! I was so close I got great pictures too! What a great loss to Classic Country Music. It seems like we are losing all the Great Ones.😭😭😭I remember he came over to me several times shook my hand and I wouldn’t let go and he just smiled at me waiting patiently while everyone else was getting annoyed because they had to wait for me to let go of his hand. Awe....now this really makes me cry as it was stated about Joe Bonsall "But JESUS and his family always came first-and we will see him again on the Promised Day.” Believe me I saw him in concert up close you could "see" Jesus in him! You really could!
Rest In Peace, Joe. I've loved you and the Oak Ridgel Boys since I was 12 years old. I'm 54 years old now and 42 years later, and it still feels like the first time when I hear an inconic Oak Ridge Boys song. Fan for Life!❤
Richard's lost a little bit of his lowest range, comes out a bit gravelly. But at 75 he's still got it in spades! Hard to believe these guys have been together for 45 years and that doesn't include the 8 years (1987-1995) that William Lee left the group. Tenor Joe Bonsall is 70 and joined the Oaks in 1973. Bass Richard Sterban joined in 1972 and Lead Duane Allen joined in 1966 - they're both 75 and baritone William Lee Golden, who joined in 1965, will celebrate his 80th birthday on January 12, 2019 and four days later they start touring again. What an amazing group (and, to be honest, it's really cool they're focusing on their Gospel roots once again).
Truly my favorite memories of childhood involve singing this song with my family...my Sikh father worshipped Dolly, Tanya, and the brothers Oak Ridge. In his memory- I play the songs and it’s as if he’s right in front of me snappin and singin Shabeg you still amaze us!
I love the way all these ol boys got together and proved you don't have to give up having fun to be a Christian. Fun and sin are two entirely different things.
I'm glad a group of Christians got together to sing a fun song indoors to an audience clapping along. Such a thing has never happened in a Christian context before 🙄
