The boys just announced a couple weeks ago they are going to finally retire and are going to play the rest of their shows in 2023 and into 2024 as their farewell tour. I'm sad as so many things changed and went away in my life but they have always seemed to have been there and been the one constant thing that hasn't changed since my childhood when my Mother, god rest her soul, got me hooked on them with her love for them and taking me to their yearly concerts in our hometown. As I am now middle aged, I also can appreciate them for being around for so many decades that they deserve more than anyone to enjoy life with the time they have left without the touring. They will be greatly missed, especially their Christmas shows.
@@AmandaHW1984 I am not surprised. I went and got tickets for me and the wife and saw them in Anderson Indiana at the beautiful Paramount theater on Nov 25, 2023 as a last hurrah becuase we wanted to see the Christmas show one last time. I booked our hotel at the best western in Anderson also. Lo and behold when we checked into the hotel, the boys were staying there too and had the buses parked by our car at the best western. Got pictures of them going to the buses and back . They had several rooms right below us. When they brought Joe out the hotel room, they had him in a wheel chair being pushed by a roadie. During the concert, he sat the whole time plus he lost a lot of weight so we knew something was going on healthwise with him. Saw them so many years and decades growing up, I hope they live long and healthy as possible to enjoy retirement as they more than deserve it.
I just wanted to wish you william lee golden a happy 85th birthday to you ❤ 💙 ♥ 😊 💛 💖 ❤ 💙 ♥ 😊 💛. You are one of my favorite singers for the oak ridge boys.
They sound way better than they did in the 80's and they were incredible then . 40 years of rehearsal and live shows have honed their singing skills. Way to go boys, you're still a class act.
Thank you Joe Bonsall for your 50 years of great music. Rest in Peace!! You will Truly be missed. Sending condolences to Joe's family, friends, and fans who loved him.😢😢
Rest in peace Joe bonsall. I wish I would've discovered their music earlier than a couple years ago. Such amazing talent in all of them. You'll be missed Joe
There is never a dull moment with The oak ridge boys. I have heard them ever since I was a kid. Y'all still have got the touch in you. Some 4get about Steve Sanders and him giving them there last #1 songs. Also 4 The oak ridge boys 2 not include him on there induction ceremonies is a BIG disgrace 2 STEVE SANDERS NAME.
To this day, whenever someone says, even in a totally different context, "Giddy up" i ALWAYS follow it up with an "Um pappa- Um pappa- Um pappa mow mow" !
Happy to say I saw these fellas live in myrtle beach I was a young whipersnapper my mom took me. But I remember them performing this song very clearly.
Love Elvira, always makes me smile and they seem to truly enjoy singing it. I've sat in parking lots rocking out to Elvira, paid no attention to the stares. 🤣
I love the Oak Ridge Boys ! My Grandma had them on all the time ! Always had TNN on. Country is my favorite genre of all ! Not the pop BS nowadays, sad !
Oh the memories!! My grandma was so funny back then…. She said I sure like the beat of that new song “Hell Fire Up”. 🤣. The Oak Ridge Boys sound so good 40 years later!! Amazing!! ❤️❤️
I used to stop and dance to this song every time I heard it playing somewhere when I was a kid. It didn't matter where we were, I would do it. I am now 41. This song still puts a smile on my face every time I hear it. Love, love the Oakridge Boys!!!

Saw their show in Omaha, Nebraska in 1979 and it was amazing. I hope the next group of Oak Ridge Boys can do it as right as these guys. Gods blessings to them all.
Still sound good. I would always get my brother’s records out and play Elvira and Dream on. And still enjoy hearing them sing. Now my 2 and 6 year old have to hear Elvira several times a day; they especially liked the collaboration of Home Free and Oak Ridge Boys singing Elvira. Just brings a smile to my face to hear it and see my kids enjoy as well. Thank you so much for all the good memories and joy Oak Ridge Boys; God Bless and keep you all safe.
Love to see that you guys can hit all the right notes, way back in my day going out to listen to country music I made up a dance that others soon filled .. it was awesome 👍🏼
