Elliot is so fortunate to have two incredibly loving and supportive parents. Reading about this has truly touched my heart and brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful story with all of us.
She is extremely adorable. I really love her confidence and humorous attitude. Honestly i also want to protect her and shower her with lots of joy. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year 2025 to everyone.
I met Esther in poly and she was a very fun and pleasant person to be around with. Thank you for bringing awareness to this and hope that her family will continue to be happy and healthy.
Esther Xu's story is a gentle reminder that the real challenge lies not in their lives but in society’s limited understanding of humanity. Let us choose kindness-for others and for ourselves-and work together to create a more united and compassionate world. 🙏🏻
I admire your tenacity, grit and determination to be like any other person despite being a dwarf. Both of you are wonderful parents- Thank you for being so honest and open about what you had gone through.
Perfectly normal and wonderful family!!! Elliot makes the world a better place! Elliot's Mummy and Daddy too! :)) Much to learn from their positivity and bright outlook of life. Jia you to Elliot and family!
Esther is very positive The husband is supportive and this makes them a happy family. It is a feature, not a bug. I am sure this feature has turned into a strength to see things more positive, being more grateful and more resilient.
The couple is lovely BUT they were incredibly selfish to take the risk to pass the dwarfism to their boy. Objectively - height matters. There are so many studies done showing people get treated differently when they are taller/shorter. Subjectively - height still matters! Esp for guys. Short girls can be seen as cute, what about short guys? Also the mum talks about facing challenges because of her height, if she loves her kids why would she do that to her kid? This boy is going to face more challenges than his peers when he competes for things that matters. In school - leadership positions, friendships. In career - passing job interviews, getting promotions. Do the parents have resources to help their son overcome these challenges?
I would have thought differently as well if she had said they know what they will/can be expecting from having this child. Nonetheless I wish this family well and I’m sure we will see them again here due to their acceptance.
Seems like you are speaking from personal experience? This video was meant for people like you. Maybe you should rewatch it a couple of times and try to absorb the message?
Peter Dinklage, Warwick Davis ..I loved those guys and their movies. Guess what, they are dwarfs or short people. Accept and respect people of who they are.
We must not forget that as abled people, we have to understand that disabled, physically or mentally different people, also have autonomy. They have dreams and aspirations. Why must dwarfism people be barred from love and a family? So what if these genes are passed on? I think it's what makes the human race beautiful don't you think? Different people can even be more mentally mature than normal people!
Ignore the naysayers! When I look at your family, I feel so happy that U guys are happy! Just like what the husband said, the character of the person is more important! Hope your child be a person of good character! You are wonderful parents every child will love to have! So nurturing!
Don’t worry your kid won’t think and say that way to you, as long you love and care for him, he will grow up strong to face the world. He’s perfectly normal
Human nature is like that they stare at others weirdly like as if they are perfect. They notice the bad in others But never notice bad in themselves. Ego
Bcos they need to criticise other , judge others to make themselves feel better.. like some of my frens who always say I got no religion but I am better than you religious ppl, I am not IT but I am better than you IT engineer.. its like a beggar begging for happiness.
As long as both of them love the child and provide for the child as the best they can, gradually prepare the child mentally and emotionally for the future, this is fine. A loving family will provide the best psychological strength for the child to face any future challenges.
Human just have an insatiable desire for neverending meaningless things. Too tall, too short, too dark too fair they'll have things to say. So your perspective becomes your reality. Have a happy life!❤🎉
Why would someone comment of dwarfism? Me personally I don't care, as long they show kindness and humility also give impact in science and tech they are normal people
It affects height! Not intellect and doesn’t impede quality of life. If the child would be in pain every moment of their life I would understand your point but being shorter with shorter limps does not stop a person from being a productive member of society.
Yea. And if you think it's irresponsible then how far will you go? If people are too ugly they shouldn't have kids? If people are not smart they shouldn't have kids? These are all also genetics that can be passed down.
Generally people look at this condition as a negative thing. This is due to our own ingrained memory carried over from hunter gatherer days when it would be considered a disadvantage to hunt and perform other physically demanding tasks like building and maintaining a house or protecting the family or village etc. These days, this is no longer applicable as most better paid jobs require different characteristics to be successful and to be able to provide, but people still maintain the same negative inclination without knowing why. This is NOT a disability especially in this day and age and we should be mindful and not treat them as such but with same respect as any other person. Therefore just take a step back from your mind and look at why are you thinking this way.Remove this biased judgement that is without basis and outdated from your thought process.Congrats you have now evolved one more small step as a human. This very general and simple layman explanation.
"but people still maintain the same negative inclination without knowing why" No, we do know why. You can't just remove hardwired evolutionary programming because of 'what should be' or what would feel nice to do. As a species we are hugely informed by the 400,000 odd yrs of 'might is right' and that people's looks (genetic quality) matters for breeding selection. I know that sounds crude but it's the reality. I wish it weren't that way (and I don't disagree that we should treat people with respect and that at least some things can be mitigated via the surrounding attitudes and culture etc) but in the end, when people REALLY have a choice and they think no one is watching or will judge, they will usually just go for what physically attracts them, at least initially. This poor lad will have a harder life because it's likely going to be extremely difficult for him to be chosen. That's just the reality.
Love her positive attitude and resilience! A strong lady! Definitely her son shall grow up strong and full of confidence!
💪💪💪💪💪💪

People will look at you at that moment but humans will forget it in the next 5 mins. So don't care about what others think. Live life to the fullest.
She pretty beautiful inside out
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.
Awesome mother, father and boy - such beautiful people with great heart ❤️

Happy 2025 to your family from London Uk❤
That’s so irresponsible knowing it’s inherited and still deciding to have a child.
