Got the Scarlet Shadow kill/trophy today. I fought in the same area as shown here but I was on an Umbral build and used the poison buff on one of the axes. Got me the first time, but I got em on the second try. The fights weren't too bad. Nice video. Appreciate it showcase. Another trophy down.
Pity the special ability eats up soulflay charges so much. Sure the Umbral Eye in the secondary socket helps recharge but I find it takes too long (from watching the vid) and I wouldn't want to sacrifice one of the other eyes I already have socketed. Would have been better if the special ability didn't eat up soulflay charges IMO. Should have just been a special ability perk. Another thing is I'm not too fond of small swords for the little damage they do. Long swords or grand swords are more my thing. I also find the special ability is doing little damage. I don't know if it's because your Ability and Inferno stats are quite low. You almost got killed.
I think this special ability will op if it doesn’t use soulfay charge. I was 65Lvl and almost got killed because I don’t like to invest too much in vitality(14) and also bad dodge too at that time. I hope people watch this will avoid this mistake. Thank you for sharing your idea.
Not the best location or the most efficient ability to kill him. There is a much easier location. And it takes around 8 or 9 casts with inferno spell to kill him. I know because after playing through the game first time I was surprised how easily it worked and have since repeated it multiple times for extra scouring or in new game plus etc
It took you 5 minutes I wouldn't say this is a good combo im running dual fungus pickaxes inflicting burn wither poison an bleed I can kill it in just under a minute an a half im only lvl 80

You could also use the Umbral Vertebrae consumable to re-charge your soulflay charges if you need them in a pinch. 😁👍🏻
