Dude, this MC system is insane. I never leave my driveway without it on and listening to Elton John or ELO or XM in general, is something else. Jeep was so smart putting it in. The best in any Jeep so far.

It’s all fake, it’s plastic. We make 80% of the interior plastics for this model where I work. It’s all cheap bullshit 10% regrind crap. It looks good though
I have a 21 GCL with the mcintosh sound system & had to get that rattle fixed. FCA didn’t use enough sound dampeners where the sub is when designing the car, and when the bass was hitting, it would rattle against the metal framework of the car. They added in a couple layers of dampening cloth and fixed it about 95%. warranty paid to fix it. still hear it every now and then tho (but the sound system is so good, it overpowers the rattle for the most part)
Giant rattle in my driver's door side panel; warranty fixed it. Once you get into the more powerful systems, it's a complex issue to avoid, especially with our more plastic interiors of today.
You should review the Meridian 3D surround sound system in a Range Rover. By far one of the best sound systems out there! I had the pleasure of listening to it everyday inside the new Range Rover Velar
If you want a cd player you can add one in with the USB... they give power and can transfer data at the same time. Its easy to add but will be a wire from the USB port to the device. This is a way to hook it up and not all disc player devices, I believe, will work this way.

I agree - Honda's audio systems have been garbage for years, unfortunately. Oddly enough, Acura has one of the best. I get it's their luxury brand but Toyota, VW, Ford, Mazda, etc., all have significantly better audio systems than Honda.
I have this system and it seems the bass is really not that tight. For what this system costs, I also expected an equalizer - which might help tuning the bass. Outside of a bespoke system, I still think the best audio system I've had in a car was in my 1993 Lexus with the Nakamichi system.
Why am I not impressed with this sound system? For having 19 speakers and 900 watts, it’s not super loud. My stock Trailhawk system was just as good. Am i missing something?
You have no idea how much you miss. yes, you need to lower the bass via XM, but all the rest is perfect for me. Once you tweak it a bit, she is perfect all around.
All FCA systems are to bass heavy for me. Especially the rams systems with either the alpine or Harmon kardon to much low range in the door speakers , would love to see more mid range. Yes they are mid-bass speakers but you can’t go more than 3/4 volume without these having serious excursion which isn’t always the sound people are looking for. These systems always sound slightly muddy and loose, but then the overwhelming subwoofer tricks you as it hits so hard at times. I really think a system like this would benefit from a separate subwoofer control would
Agreed! I have a reserve and even with the bass at the lowest - bass I have so much rattle in my doors and trunk depending on the frequency of the song. Very annoying!
Jeep got the Macintosh and it sound great but there's a rattle sound coming from somewhere in this vid... that would annoy me like my sony sound system in my AWD Ford Fusion Titanium 2014 model.... the sony explodes did what they meme is... explodes and rattled like crazy... They sound okay for what they were if you added a EQ to your music and have an active DSP to the music before it went through the system because for some reason the moron who put the system together thought it would be wise to send sub through 6x8s or 6x9s in the rear deck and they not have the beefiness to do it nor DSP correction.... with also the sun melting the speakers to where the surrounding of the speak would detach.... put in for it to be fixed under warranty and it never was done because the customer service... being the dealers in this case.... was like that of the USPS or any govt ran systems where you need customer service... just terrible... LOL.... they never honor the warranty at any dealership because Ford did not pay out for the warranty part or I suppose time to fix action on their cars to the dealership. Most of the Ford techs were also new and not seasoned at many of the dealerships because the seasoned ones just had their own shops due to the fact that dealerships sucked with paying them and them having to rent out a work spot while working at the privately owned dealership... All around it made for a bad customer service and a bunch of lies at the dealership where they say they fixed your issues but they just break something else on your car, never fix the car unless you bought the parts and watch them place it on the car, so they can get you to purchase a new car....totally not worth it to get an extended warranty with Ford...LOL... just go to a local shop that has the certifications and buy the part striaght from Ford... they say they will honor the warranty if you do so but if they doing crappy on warranties with the dealership and recalls then they may never honor a warranty... so just be ready to come out of pocket if you own a Ford product... nor sure about Jeep being a part of GM or Chrysler... LOL
