I know what you mean about the Olive oil Andy, I almost grudge paying it now, it's doubled in price since I last took notice of the price. Great video mate 👍
Oh wow Mr Andy. lamb is my favourite meat and all I can say is that looked absolutely incredible. I'm leaving Cromer now is there any left mate for me 😂😂
That's nice Andy I remember the traditional way with rosemary sticks in the skin etc and roast potatoes but why not cook what you like makes it tasty idont eat lamb any more now because I there is just me now lol and my daughter and my partner is a vegetarian but my late husband would of eaten that Andy ibet it smelt nice
Glad you enjoyed this meal, and all the lovely comments.I was thinking shoulder of lamb,I think the leg is better suited to roasting,a nice medium rare,or it’s really good boned out,and butterflied, marinated, and grilled on the bbq to medium rare.I don’t really like lamb well cooked. You guys sure love paprika,I don’t think it’s anywhere near as popular here, and what we get tastes of nothing,I have tried several different brands. So funny to me to see you all using so much garlic, when I left England I bet 98% of British housewives had never even tried garlic, things sure change in 60 years.
I never had my first garlic until I was about 18, my mum and nan never used it, In fact like you say they probably never heard of it 😂😂 I would have liked to of put it on the BBQ but the weather has been terrible the last few days 👍
Andy... You put me in suspense since the pork... So this must be the next big one, Lamb.. unfortunately I can't eat lamb . 😢.. But it does look good though..
Hi Andy, that looked delicious, the price of olive oil has gone through the roof, my local aldi, is charging £7.49 a bottle, I'm not going to pay that, am going to try clarified butter, not tried it before, I reckon if we all stop buying g it, then the prices would be reduced, that's what people have said about other products they stopped buying and after a while the prices have been reduced.
Lamb my absolute favorite. It looks really good, Enjoy.😊 Andy what oil do you usually roast your potatoes in? I love using duck fat but thats just occasionally.
OMG andy my ma loved the leg of lamb but she would of loved it maid with all the stunning trimmings it looks stunning my mouth is just watering after whatching that amazing dish stunning feed😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Fat Andy i would suggest using a shoulder instead and you do need some liquid, stock and fortified wine will blow that Mediterranean roast apart 😂😂🎉. Little bit of saffron or saffron powder would not hurt either. Served with garlic mayonnaise and olives, a tomato and onion salad and some scrumpy jack, pint of cider ice in the cider, perfick 😂😂😂🎉
Nutmeg is better used in moderation as it 's toxic, half of what you used would probably have been better. You can use clarified butter instead of Olive oil unlike normal butter it can handle higher temperatures without smoking. Other than Oregano, Dried Mint, Paprika you used Thyme and Rosemary goes so well with Lamb, Kosher salt, black pepper, usually garlic clothes are pressed into cuts made into the lamb. For roast potatoes I use King Edwards or Maris Pipers, after cutting them up I leave in water to de-starch for awhile then par boil them, then shake in a metal colander with a plate on top, to rough them up better, then add the oil of choice, Parsley, Rosemary, Kosher Salt, Black Pepper and Lemon juice. Personally I never cook anything in foil as the aluminium gets into your body although you did protect the meat with baking paper, hope the tips are ok with you, basically you did a really great job.
Looks so good! I can smell it, will definitely give it a go. Thank you x

That looks bl00dy lush. Top tip... If lamb is out of your budget, you can use the big turkey leg and thigh ftom Morrisons. Costs about a fiver.
