I have the 2k unit and mostly it is ok but there are some issues with BT connectivity, Carplay, bootup volume. So, when using Carplay everythig is mostly ok but if you use the Back icon command and exit Carplay the phone won`t connect on BT anymore, you need to restart the unit to have BT connection again. If you close Carplay from the back button, you need to push the square menu icon ti manually close the Carplay app, you may have or may not have BT connection with your phone. If you use only BT connection and you receive a call without using Carplay the overal quality is bad, volume is low, interesting, this is not happening with Carplay. Other issue is the bootup volume, no matter the settings, the unit starts at a higher volume, even after trying to set the boot volume, setting the applications volume for each one, no luck. You can`t connect any OBD interface, you are barred to use any except their OBD adapter.... I am using the unit in an Mitsubishi Outlander Phev which comes with an OE Rockford Fosgate audio system, it was a pain to get the right adapter cables for it. I am sure that on another car without OE audio amplifiers sistems the unit would function better.. Anyway, i like your channel, keep up the good work!

Mr. Dan, I recently bought a cc3 2k. For 2014 Honda Crv type “C” but I don’t believe I received the correct wire harness for the CANBUS. There is not ANY plug on one end of the canbus that fits. How do I go about getting the correct one sent to me?

Yeah good Question. Its just stupid to remove Buttons. I would still prefer to have a Volume Knob and normal buttons. Not Touch. Touch Buttons are distracting while driving.
Steering wheel controls on the 2k. Otherwise it's multiple clicks to expand the control menu which is now fixed on the left hand side! Not amazingly useful of you have a rhd car.

Hey there. Question for you. Juat installed the cc3 2k on my subaru. I'm still learning all the settings but one is quite interesting. I'm talking about the auto dim function. It seems that the 9nly way to get this unit to auto dim at night is by setting up the hours when the dim will turn on and when it will turn off. Is that the only way to do it? Does the head untis sense the signal from the vehicle when you turn on your headlights, to then dim the display and put it in thr night mode for android auto driving map? Let me know. Thanks.
Kindly turn off the auto dim feature, then the system will follow your headlights on/off. For more setting or installation, kindly contact to your device provider to get more detail.
@TEYESMalaysia Hi. I figured it out. The head unit had an orange wire looking for a 12v signal when lights on. On my car side harness, i didn't have any wire triggering that. I had to tap to the wire illuminating the ac controls. Now it works. Thanks
@chris360s_ so far so good. There are few things, tiny details that I would like to resolve but... sometimes it doesn't connect via android auto automatically. And then there is the can bus thing. Apparently I need to install the can bus converter, which I have, it came with the head unit. Never bothered installing it because everything, so I tought, did work. I need to put this box back to have the auto volume enabled for vehicle speed. Faster=louder , slower=quieter. Other than that it's great. I'd definitely get another one if ever needed one.
Can anyone confirm if the built in mic works good or bad for the newer 2k CC3? I heard the older version of CC3 mic doesn't pick up your voice very good for hands free calling and the person on the other end hears a muffled voice. I want to know if the 2K version they fixed it or not.

I HATE this thing. I've had nothing but frustration with mine. It'll work great for weeks, and then suddenly, for no reason, lose some functions or change some settings. There is no support available, and the settings menus are an indescribable maze as if I could ever figure out how to undo the crap this thing does to itself. A total piece of crap. Avoid this piece of junk.
All well and good but all youtube videos regarding music on the CC3 seem to concentrate on bluetooth music which sounds crap! There are no videos showing how 2:17 you actually load music onto the CC3 from a hard drive or other device. The instructions for installation are rubbish and don’t come close to explaining how to install. There is not enough customisation available for the screen which rather makes the android operation almost laughable. Its a great product but is sadly let down by ridiculous support.

there is a TH-cam video review where he calls someone and the guy on the other end says the voice is very clear with no background noise
Saab Unleashed did the video comparing mic call quality between the CC3 and the CC3 2K. 2K sounded better.
