Ya. In London, not even a rat can enter your house. Forget humans. They have no manners. They will just talk to you on the gate only if you go to their house. In India, it's like if someone comes to your house, you don't make that person wait on the gate for too long. It is considered as bad manners. You are immediately invited inside & give you water and ask you what would you like to have - like chai, coffee. If it's a lunch time, they won't even ask you if you are hungry, the food will be served and they say khana to khana hi padega.
