*lmao, “the part that makes the pen work…”* you mean the same “think” that starts your car or those “things” inside a remote so you can change the channel? I’ll give you a hint… the Energizer Bunny is the mascot for what kind of product??? *BATTERIES* yup, a battery is what makes the pen work… *just like every wireless electronic device uses some sort of battery (unless we’re talking solar panel wireless devices but clearly tattoo guns aren’t solar power charged… tho there is still a battery, it’s just the sun charges the battery) ANYWAYS… Yes, the battery comes with 99.9% of rotary pens
There isn’t a universal voltage for doing line work depends on the machine your using your hand speed needle size machine used and other factors traditional coil machines are typically ran at 7-9v tattoo pens like the one in the video are typically ran at higher voltage 8v up to 11v depending on a number of factors and some rotary machines run lower voltage if your using the pen in the video id probably start at 8v if your just starting and go up from there as you get your hand speed and confidence up
Does the thing that makes the pen work come with the pen or do you have to buy it seperate?

What kind of needle cartridge use this machine? Regaaards
Any size as long as it’s the disposable needles
How do you switch it from lining mode to shading mode
Yikes
I think you switch the needle
Just change it to the shading needle
Put a shading needle on it and adjust the voltage, usually lower voltage for shading higher voltage for lining
What voltage do you use to do line work?
