Opals, both black and white, are one of my favorite gemstones, and one of the most visually stunning stones out there. So, it’s no surprise that this ring is absolutely GORGEOUS!
That is the most beautiful and uniquely designed ring I’ve ever seen! The way the light plays on the contrasting opal is just incredible! And yet it’s still simple and elegant and not “too much”. Such great work dude!
Your videos are so relaxing and almost hypnotic. Getting to watch something so rough transformed into something to behold and cherish forever is a talent you should be proud to be able to share with the world. Thank you for filming it too.
I would love to see a blue in that type of opal with the white opal. That would be beautiful as well. All your rings you make are amazing I especially love the light Purple one!!!!! Absolutely beautiful KEEP MAKING MORE VIDEOS. I LOVE WATCHING
Another stellar design! I love the green, as well as the purple! Would definitely like to see blue... Hell, I think every color in the spectrum would be great!!
I hope I am correct that is synthethic opal... ? :) Ok seeing the end i am sure they are synthethic now.. but good work like it.. I also made some rings from Tamascus and also create them a bit thicker then they should be.. good work
@@stephenvesper5266 Yes it is not totaly cheap, but far from the real deal tbh, also much easier to work with because the real deal are need threatment and don't show lamelas trough the whole bulk. Still good project I like it..
I could tell immediately that it was synthetic opal, because the video title says "Bello Opal" which is a brand name of synthetic opal. :-) Sorry to be a smart ass, couldn't resist.
@@jerrysstories711 I do not mind, as I tried to point out. I never worked with them, so obviously I don't know the brand names. Never the less it was just a random comment without any side thoughts about accusing from fraud or something.. :D
for work like the inlays done here I would suggest taking the vise you used on the drill press and clamping the dremel into it, securing this infront of the lathe so you can slowly and uniformly crank it in. Unless you have the rest of full size lathe and can do it without the dremel
At 2:40 why wouldn't you put the ring on the lathe and sand the outside? How much approximately would it take just for the tools you use not including any material for the rings? You do a very nice job on these rings.
Love your rings and your work man! I know bello is a synthetic opal but not many people know that, they think it’s the real deal! it doesn’t state it in your description or video though, any chance you could clarify wether the stones/gems you are using are synthetic/imitation in future videos? I’ve had a few friends who have paid top dollar for genuine opal and it’s synthetic/imitation, a lot of people try to pass off synthetic/imitation opal as real opal to increase their profits and they do not state that it is synthetic/imitation. They usually state that it is real or genuine opal, which in essence it can be (depending on seller/manufacturer) as the chemical makeup is the same, it just so happens to be man made instead.
I noticed you used alumi uv on this ring. I have some solarez uv resin I've used on a couple rings and it doesn't hold up well and feels rubbery. Was just curious if you have used it and how it compares to the alumi uv. Thanks, beautiful ring by the way.
I have noticed that UV resins need close proximity and full coverage UV exposure to cure correctly, as well being the right temperature and coat thickness to get the expected result. I am aware of the "rubbery" texture you are referring too, it took a long time to work out that issue but it is doable with practice. Also having the correct wavelength UV bulbs is so important.
WOW!!! That turned out really COOL!!! Where did you find such a large piece of black opal and if u were to sell it what do u think u would ask for it!?!?!?

Where do you buy the opal slabs?
Amazing result. Where do you get the Opal u cut the blank from?
Google Bello Opal. It's a polymer Impregnated Synthetic Opal and is composed by 80% silica & 20% resin.
@@jagnik82 Thank you so much Anna!
While its not my personal style it is a beautiful design and great work!
yay!! you're back!!!
Awesome ring! Where do you get slabs of opal like that?
It's not real
@@mikey3816 yeah I know it's synthetic. I was just curious where to get something like that. I'd love to try my hand at making a ring like that.
