    Think I may just have found my next new hot tent, thanks for the review

    Love to have this model. Its perfect for one dude and one pup. Doesnt let too much light in and no one can really see you inside with a light on at nite. Cotton blend holds onto heat longer than just polyester.

      Yeah I like it, smaller is easier to heat but I like having a little more space. My first hot tent was even smaller.

    did you check that tree where you found the hen of the woods last year? im assuming that is the same campground. nice tent! the snow skirt is a cool feature.

    A canvas hot tent with no center pole that doesn’t sacrifice rigidity. $300 price point seems steep though. I guess that’s the toss up when you get thicker tent wall material.

    • @livefreelivewild
      @livefreelivewild  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I love it, I have been using year round and I don't have any complaints. I'm not sponsored and I spent my own money on it and still love it.

    • @livefreelivewild

      A lot of big canvas tents are between 800 and 1500 dollars. I thought it was priced well.

    • @justinsane11
      @justinsane11 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@livefreelivewild when you get canvas, you don’t necessarily need the wood stove to keep warm 3/4s of the year. I think it looks pretty versatile for its footprint.

    Im really wondering how these tents fare for hot tenting at -25 and below. I really dont need or want a wall tent

    • @livefreelivewild
      @livefreelivewild  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I can't answer that, I have only gone down to 0°F overnight. I think it would be ok with a good stove and plenty of wood. It heats up easier and faster because it's a smaller space to heat, and it is the same canvas as a wall tent, maybe a little thinner. Actually I did get down to -10° F but it was in my hammock hot tent, same size, different shape and it was ok with my -20° F sleeping bag. With a thinner sleeping bag you only get about 45 mins to an hour sleep before adding wood. The sleeping bag is the key to cold camping.

    • @clutch2315
      @clutch2315 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@livefreelivewild yeah the lack of time to sleep with a fire going is always an issue with small stoves. If i could find a stove where i can extend that with the damper snd slowing combustion im all ears.

    • @livefreelivewild
      @livefreelivewild  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @clutch2315 they latest stove I reviewed on my channel is pretty good. It's only $100 and works better than my $500 stove. It's just a little heavier.

    It says you get 18 pegs in the pack ,is that enough for the guylines too or do you need some more
    Onetigris tents always seem to leave a couple short

      It's been a few years since I used the original pegs but I think that is plenty.

    Did you cut the stove jack or it came with a huge hole??

    • @livefreelivewild
      @livefreelivewild  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It comes already cut, it really isn't too big because of the pitch of the tent. With the pipe in the jack, there's only an inch maybe a little more gap all the way around. I assume it's so you can use different size stove pipe. My other tent is the same way and it's not noticeable during rain or snow. The flap that covers the jack acts as a gutter and sheds the water away from the jack.
