What an adorable lil' booplesnoot you have there! And a Cold Steel Bushman!? I haven't seen one in so long, and wanted one so bad since I lost my old. I think they're great

It’s a great like knife on the cheap.
Love using it as a spear

I’m way too damn broken to sleep on the ground anymore… I do it a few times a year just to remember why I pack a light weight cot around 😂
If you are camping on snow pack the tent will be quite a bit closer to the ground and seal up better…. That’s a mixed blessing with a waterproof tent tho because they don’t breathe thru the fabric and you get condensation even with the wood stove blasting away.
I have the canvas version of the northgaze and it’s 14lb’s… haven’t even set it up yet… I also have the same stove as you so hopefully it’s up to the task…. She can get chilly in norther Alberta 👍

Our ultra light cot came in yesterday woohoo.
Yeah canvas dose so much better with the ability to breath makes a huge difference

Just bought this tent and waiting for the snow to come back around here in Idaho to test it's true potential. Sick review my man. Also don't know why, but Ricky from trailer park boys screams off of you for some reason lmao.

How did you build your spark arrestor? Not sure i picked it up on the video but it seems like a great idea. Great video! Thanks.

@SteveFerry-z1c I had some stainless chicken wire and cut it a bit bigger than the pipe.
Then bent it to fit in varying tight had to put a few cuts around the edge to bend it then forced it in.
      Thanks 🙏

Right on definitely extend the camping 🏕️ season.
There is something special about having a fire in your tent .
And being able to warm up and dry off makes a huge difference 👍

Do you find using the grate in the bottom of the stove helps at all? Thanks!

It’s hard to know I have never used a titanium one before so not real sure what I should expect.
But there was no real warping so maybe 🤔 I do think in the long run it should help it last longer

Got the same stove, same model for the same reasons (weight mainly) since I hike where I camp (no car); Trick: I litter the bottom of the stove with little rocks 1-as stated, to "protect" the bottom as much as possible 2-they retain heat 3-no need to carry them as they tend to grow locally wherever you go so you just put them back and that shuts up the anal-retentive glampers "to leave the spot as you found it"

That’s a good idea with the rocks 👍
Definitely like the weight normally I canoe in to my camp but winter will be hiking.
Having something so small and light will open up so many more opportunities for my winter camping

@@JayhooOutdoors yup, same vibe over here, live on one side of a big lake, I kayak to the other side and plant mine away from prying eyes (oddly enough boaters see something, got to investigate)

What size is this tent? 2 - 4 man tent???

    • @JayhooOutdoors
      @JayhooOutdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@mistasalsa93 you could get 3 to 4 people but with the stove or the bug net it’s a 2 person tent in my opinion
