Right to the point explanation and video. Awesome. I've changed one spindle on our turf tiger. It did not come off so easy, was a 2002 model. We literally had to torch it off. I really hope our 2019 model comes apart that easy blade brothers!
Hey my friend do you have a part number for the spindles on a Scag Tiger Cat 2 I'm having a lot of problems with the spindles the bottom seals or the grease release valves don't seal thanks Harry Erhart Erhart landscaping
If you have a big enough air hammer get the bolts loose and drive the spindle out out of the hub, I drive the pulley off as seen in the video, but if the hub is froze to the spindle just drive the spindle through it.
I now know how to change a spindle on a scag thanks to this very helpful video. Thank you!

I appreciate that.
I have some tricks for the old stuck spindles, I just couldn’t use them on these warranty spindles.
Run you a small flat head on the cut of the taper lock to widen it and it’ll slide off easier . Good job 👍🏻

The part number didn’t change it’s still 461663. The just updated the pop off valve.
Thank you!
Thanks my friend 👍
Bro that was impressive the speed and efficiency
Thanks it’s been a little while since I’ve had to do one.
@@Brotherslawn23 I have to do 3 myself but this has given me a little more confidence
Also how many pumps of grease did you do for the new spindles
@@jayhaynes4668 just nuts and bolts my friend.
@@jayhaynes4668 I check the “pop off “ or over flow valve and when it starts to come out I stop.
Not sure if we have the same spindles but FWIW my 2022 Liberty Z had a couple spindles go bad with less than 40 hrs on the machine
They are aluminum non grease able.
That’s sad I’m not sure what’s with scags quality control lately
I had to change the middle one on mine at 1200 hrs. Not as easy. That damn thing might as well been welded on.
