  • Explore the stunning transformation of PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur, where architects have turned an existing concrete box into a lush green haven in the heart of the city! As urbanization accelerates, this architectural marvel showcases innovative ways to bring nature back to our cities, redefining the skyline and providing a breath of fresh air in the bustling Kuala Lumpur city center.
Join us on a journey through the ingenious design that incorporates numerous cantilevered gardens, lifting greenery directly into public areas, guestrooms, and even the Garden Ballroom! The biophilic approach creates a harmonious blend of nature and architecture, offering guests a unique experience from the moment they step into the double-volume lobby surrounded by a lush green backdrop.
The architects have implemented 78 lightweight modular sky planters, cantilevering up to 2.6m from the building, using a cutting-edge steel frame. These planters, strategically positioned and staggered, not only enhance the aesthetics but also contribute to reducing temperature by up to 9.4°C compared to adjacent steel and concrete structures, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly design.
From undulating perforated screens to a verdant pool terrace oasis, the design showcases the integration of 13,000 sqft of greenery, featuring over 100 species of plants and 300 trees. The carefully curated natural palette, including native plants for reduced maintenance, complements warm and natural finishes throughout the hotel, creating a resort-like ambiance within the city.
Discover how this architectural gem provides visual relief, absorbs carbon dioxide, and produces oxygen, contributing not only to the well-being of hotel guests but also positively impacting the city environment. The lush rooftop terrace and extensive greenery prove that older buildings can be revitalized to become attractive and meaningful additions to the urban landscape.
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur sets a benchmark for sustainable, green architecture, proving that the fusion of nature and design can redefine the urban experience.
