Hi, thanks for the detailed instruction video, but you showed putting the focus thread on the wrong way. It should be put on with its small-detailed side to the lens and long-detailted side to the focus motor (it has the same size of the elements to connect). And yes, it matters, because the weel won't work if you put it the wrond way. Secondly you don't need to take the lens of the camera to put the thread on - if you do it right way you'll do it easily just on the lens with the camera. Unfortunately I was trying to adjust my follow focus system according to your video, and had a lot of problems - it simply didn't work because of the wrong instructions. Then I watched the DJI official video and solved it. Please correct your video, othervise it is harmful for people who watch it. Thank you.
Can you control the focus from the phone software? Was thinking of that you can program camera movements in the phone software. It would be cool if you also could change the focus on the different points.
Sam Lawrence hey there! It actually doesnt matter! It can be any way so long it doesnt hinder the movement because you can set the start and end points by pressing the button on the focus wheel. 😀
Not possible because 80d is not compatible with Ronin SC. Ronin SC only supports mirrorless cameras not DSLRs. Zhiyun weebill-s or Feiyutech Ak2000s is compatible with 80d.

Did you really installed gear ring wrong way? Is that how you are using ? Are you serious? You installed WRONG!
There's actually a spot in the instruction booklet that talks about turning the ring around.
Does the focus motor come with the gimbal in the box ?
You need to get the Combo kit which will come with focus motor. The standard package doesn’t
