I think moose should be Canada’s national animal not the cobra chicken / goose LoL

Canada's national animal is actually the beaver, but we still agree with you!

@@canadaintheroughtv yup. 🤦 The beaver was given official status as an emblem of Canada when “An Act to provide for the recognition of the Beaver (Castor canadensis) as a symbol of the sovereignty of Canada” received royal assent on March 24, 1975

Great Vid. I think you will find that the Population in Newfoundland is not the numbers you quoted. Although it was at one time. The population there is in decline, with some MMA's seeing a reduction in tags available because of the decline. Having said that, there still is a big concentration of Moose in Nl when compared to anywhere else. An awesome place to hunt.

You don't have a clue about moose population in Newfoundland.

@@alf6259 Whether I have a clue or not is simply not relevant. Perhaps before you make a comment like that, hidden behind a name that cannot identify you, you should contact the Wildlife Division as well as several of the Hunting Orgs in NL. Even Wildlife has done a survey regarding the decline of Moose in Nl, have also reduced Tags in many MMA's., they acknowledge the decline as does almost all other Wildlife Orgs and many Hunters in NL. Just stating that facts that are available for all to read, including yourself, nothing more, nothing less.Take Care ALF...

We saw a mother moose and her two calves swimming across a lake in Alberta. I didn't know they could swim until then.

A cow moose with a calf in tow will become very aggressive when it hears a cow elk call. From personal experience while elk hunting.

Dulapp's are for scenting during Mating Season. It lingers on a cow until she calve's. The Cow's Dulapp is to likewise, scent her calf or calves. It is like a family generational history that is embedded into the Moose scents. Helps with inbreeding of the Specie.
