The name of Elvis home is called Graceland . I’ve been an Elvis fan for 65 years and since Elvis’ passing my entire family go every ten years to celebrate his life. , I’ve been to the candlelight vigil each time and there are multitude of thousands of people there. They close off Elvis Presley Blvd. which is directly in front of his home it is the most breathtaking experience. I was there last year. Now my granddaughter wants to go to Elvis‘s grave. She’s six years old and she says when are we going to Elvis‘s house? I want to put a teddy bear on his grave. My son grew up to be an Elvis fan, and now my little granddaughter is in love with him as well. So, Elvis‘s life and Legacy has changed my entire family. We go there simply to say thank you Elvis thank you for so much love and joy and happiness you’ve given our family. It’s not that I’m an obsessed fan in anyway I just simply love the human being that he was and I respect so much how much my life has improved because of his existence. I’ve had a very difficult life and in the midst of turmoil and confusion, he brought the pain a little less painful for me. He was my bridge over troubled water. Just thought I’d say that take care of my friend.

It's not the microphone, it's Elvis voice. He couldn't even be autotuned, because of his vibrato.
There is a guy ( wings of pegasus) who seperated Elvis' voice and analysed it.
No computer today could autotune this voice without making it sound strange.
Many artists today use autotune and pitch correction....guess why!😊

Twano I travelled from Australia to Graceland 2 years ago - a lifetime dream to visit the home of my idol. Elvis was beyond great. 💕🇦🇺
Graceland is the home Elvis bought back in 1957, when he was 22 years old, while filming Jailhouse Rock.
He is buried in the zen garden at Graceland (his favorite place), after someone attempted to steal his body at the cemetery, where he was originally buried.
His mom, dad, paternal grandmother, his daughter, and his grandson are all buried there too.
Graceland is located at 3764 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee (yes, the street was named after him).
You can book tours there and VIP tours and you can see the Elvis Presley museum, his cars, his famous outfits, his jewelry, his personal belongings... etc.
They not only have a candlelight vigil to remember Elvis every year on the anniversary of his passing, they also celebrate his birthday every year, January 8, and have a 3 to 4 day event, and fans stand outside the famous music gates of Graceland and sing happy birthday to him. Every Christmas they decorate Graceland the way Elvis did (He loved Christmas).
There is also an Elvis Week every year, where his personal belongings are displayed and they have concerts with Elvis impersonators performing.
Elvis was always afraid he would be forgotten, that he wouldn't have made an impact on the world....he was so wrong about that. 47 years after his passing, and fans still love him so much. He gains new fans everyday...and he will forever be remembered and loved.
Memphis Tennessee, they do Elvis week in August that last 9 days. Then people go for his Birthday January 8, I lives an hour from there. When he started the police threatened to put him in jail, and the FBI had a file on him, told the police if he moved on stage to throw him in jail. You need to watch a documentary on him. There is a reason they call him the king of rock and roll. He opened the door for artists.He is the only solo singer inducted into 5 different music hall of fames… Rock and Roll, Country, Gospel, Rockabilly, and States Memphis Music Hall of Fame, and Mississippi Musicians.
Elvis is also in the Gospel Hall of Fame.
All the videos you’ve seen with him wearing this suit is because it’s from the same performance.
He didn’t wear the same suit very often.
Unfortunately they did not video of a lot of his stuff. Video footage of Elvis is relatively rare. Whenever new videos emerge they usually get top dollar.

When you listen to Elvis, you are listening to greatness. He wasn't called the King of R &R for nothing. He sang in several different genres, Rockabilly, R & R, R &B, Country and Gospel. Not every song is an upbeat dancing song, some are topic specific, some are soft romantic songs and some like Hound dog are silly.
You have a lot to learn and a whole lot of great music yet to disvover so set your biases aside, don't be distracted when reacting, pull up the lyrics if you don't understand them and be present in the moment. You'll be amazed at what's yet to come.

Omg…I’m dying 😂😂😂 when you said anal beads and dog is p!ssing on my car, I lost it. 😂😂😂. Now, onto the song. It’s probably hard to get into when you have to stop and figure out the lyrics several times (I heard the original a gazzilion times on the radio growing up and know the lyrics), and then there’s the distraction with the dog, but hey, no judgement. Stuff happens. Trust me when I say that this is more up tempo and dramatic than the original by Simon and Garfunkel in 1970. I don’t dig Elvis so much during the Vegas years, but I do love this rendition because of the emotion he puts into and then, dayum, those vocals. I don’t think so much it’s the mic that’s making the difference but rather there’s no auto-tune or other voice manipulation going on back then that you have now. What you hear is the actual voice.

A modern performer could not use that microphone well. There is no autotune for one and Elvis is controlling his own fade ins and fade outs just with his superior mic control. I still find it amazing he is not using an ear piece and he is performing live with a full band, an orchestra, and two groups of backup singers.
It`s not just the microphone.
The sound is more natural because the songs back then haven`t been tampered with.
There`s no autotune, which makes it even more special.
Today`s concerts are all autotuned, let alone the recordings.

Every year since Elvis died. They have a 10 day Memorial around the day Elvis died. In Graceland Tennessee. People come from all around the world to participate in the 10 day ceremony. There are thousand of people who go. This has been going on since his desth. August 16 1977. There is nobody on earth, who has that kind of fan following. Or remembrance. It is a really big deal.

You need to watch songs from Aloha from Hawaii 1973. Best EVER!!!!
You try to understand what the meaning is and you stop the song........and in a lot of these instances if you gave the song a few more words ....the meaning would be evident.
This song was an anthem of sorts for the 70s - its message was "I will sacrifice to help someone in need, someone down on his luck...someone who life has turned their back upon. The meaning is probably lost in todays world.
The song was written by Paul Simon and after hearing Elvis do his song he said:
“When I first heard Elvis perform ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ it was unbelievable. I thought to myself, ‘How the hell can I compete with that?"
Later on SImon said of Elvis version:
"I cherish his version of my song”
The range of vocal inflection, passion and power Elvis uses in this song is just stunning.'
This song was recorded live in August 1970 during the same Las Vegas residency in which songs like "Polk Salad Annie", "Suspicious Minds" "In the Ghetto" and "Make the World Go Away were performed.
The microphones that Elvis used were "Shure" mikes.
Mikes made by the Shure company are top of the line in sound reproduction and amplification..Elvis used SM53 and SM54s in the 70s.
Today mikes that most people use are low quality and not really designed for singing live
they are more for podcasts and social media.
Or maybe it's just Elvis's voice and what he does with it.

You are not listening to Elvis's voice itself. You're too concerned with other things. These songs are from 1970. He was 35 years old here. Being born in 1935. It doesn't matter how fast or how slow the song is, Elvis puts the kind of emotion in a song in regards to what type of song it is. If it's a more mellow or sad song, no, he's not going to be jumping around and goofing off. He puts the emotion into the song he is singing as he sees fit. As soon as he puts that mic down he's Elvis again. You do yourself a favor if you just listen you're not getting the words right. You're stopping it too much, you cannot listen to the song when you stopped it every 5 seconds.
You lose track of what's going on. Elvis does not mumble. Maybe you need a hearing test.

Are you serious? There aren’t any better singers! Name one pop, country, blues, rock or gospel singer that has a 2 and 1/3 octives vocal range. Elvis isn’t the KING for nothing!!! Do some research. You might prefer someone else’s singing, but that doesn’t make them better!
