Just wanna leave a wee note to say, I kinda like the longer format videos (I know they are more work) but you get to see more of the whole process. The end result is mega (as usual). Great work Brent!
I'm not gonna lie, you're an inspiration to many of us. I'm glad you're getting better and better everytime and that you're sharing that knowledge with us. Thanks dad, as always you're the best.
It’s so unbelievable the way you paint it’s almost like magic. It is so extremely beautiful and all inspiring. I wish I could paint as well as you. I guess I paint like you paint animals thank you thank you Jim.
I really liked this video for the format and the fact that you showed when and at what times you sealed the paint before starting another color on the same area that helped me alot in my own painting. going back and fixing mistakes on an area you just finished really is discouraging when you have to do it constantly. Great job on the model.
Well Thursday again with Dad the guru of all things 3d printed and painted. I got this one to paint dreading the animals !! Hopefully mine may look something like yours, if they do I'd be well chuffed !! Great job thanks for all the tips !!
I've made the same mistake. Drybrushing white highlights, and going back over them with citadel contrast paint. And yeah, many contrast paints are so potent they just obliterate your underlying white highlights! One solution I found was thinning them down with the citadel contrast medium, usually as much as 3 parts medium to one part paint, and it makes contrast paints much more flexible and forgiving. You have to apply at least 2 coats, but any underlying shading will show through, and the end result will look like you put much more skill and effort into it than you actually did. ;)
@@Trikeboy2 there is eveything wrong with her, from her attitude, her constant crying, her bodytype, her action, the story, the characters around her. There is nothing with the games, nothing at all other than name, so make new characters!
Really appreciate the work you put into these videos plus the fun. My favorite Lara model has been so far the one from Abe3D but this ZEZ Studio Lara is a very close contender for the top spot.
I would love to see a video on the way you set up your supports (currently). I can never see any divots in your work and that impresses the crap out of me.
I'm pretty sure Brent has made videos on his use of supports in the past. Have a look at his video library on here. He's helped me with so much over the past few years. Im always learning though. I'm definitely not as good as him. Often it just takes a bit of practice, experience and playing around. I played around with connection settings and depth of contact points etc and got mine nearly perfect too. Also I find soaking in hot water for 5 mins just before you remove supports helps them break away easier and cleaner. Not boiling hot but hot warm so you can still put your hand in without getting burnt
What’s ur go to brushes for eyeballs and small details? I use an army paint brush called the psycho which is pretty dope but what u had there seemed much nicer! Also she turned out excellent my bro!
Thank you so much for some of the best and hilarious guides to painting :D really hated painting skin and now it's fun again 😄 😊 is there a reason you don't use the game air version of some of your paints like warlord purple?
I finally purchased my very first printer (Saturn 3 Ultra) so i can hopefully start my journey in this Hobbie. I'm planning on doing Figueres like in this video and other like it. Which resin brand/type would you recommend?
The fact the Statue looks more like Lara Croft than the Animated Series version of her says a lot... Also when I get my 3D Printer I'll definitely print this model!
Hey YT Dad .. Amazing Sculpt and Always Awesome Paint Job .... can i ask (as hopefully getting my first printer soon) roughly how much resin did you use for this model? ty
Help….! Why are my paint jobs easily scratching even after sealing? Using Matt sealer….worried if I use too much sealer it will effect paint finish….cheers Brent
As an archery nerd I just have to stop and say those are definitely not the heads of the arrows :) The heads are the pointy bits. Those are the tails, known as the fletching. /pedantic_mode
Video is titled "3D Printing Lara Croft - Tomb Raider," and yet no printing, only painting. I'd be interested in seeing the entire process, from filament or resin to complete.
I seriously love these statues. There are several that I would LOVE to have. But, is it possible to get them somehow, if I don't own a 3D printer? (They're a bit too expensive for me to be allow myself to afford one.)
Dad, I have a question dad.... how come when I print i have 100 pits and or spheres where the supports were... but you don't. Did you sand every part? Do you use a dremel to remove those support nubs? Please dad, my fingers hurt from sanding, there must be a better way!

I'm going to leave a few words to say... I agree lol
Same!
I concur with these words in this box!

The skin technique works so well!!
Absolutely my favorite creator on TH-cam! The base looks outstanding and Lara is spectacular as always with your work.
Wow, this 3D print of Lara Croft looks amazing! Great work bringing such an iconic character to life

Thanks, Your Dad! Love seeing you paint up my favorite British grave robber!! You did a fantastic job!
Thanks Brent, I so look forward to your informational videos every week. You do amazing work.
Oh she's BEAUTIFUL
Thanks for continuing to share your process.
I prefer longer videos but Dad’s going to have to help me off the toilet bc my legs will go numb. Continue to educate me.

MAGIC SKIN ALL THE WAY! You rock. Need to get a painting soundtrack together with your theme.
Damn dad! Another amazing video. I'm definitely saving this in my playlist as well!
Aqui do Brasil, eu aprendo muito com você, você é um dos melhores que conheço, parabéns por tudo.

Cool video Brent, thank you very much for sharing your experience, good mood, and sense of humor. The model is gorgeous, always a thumbs up
wow thats more explanation than usual Thank you
Dad im so proud of you for finally cleaning that spray booth lol.
Commenting to Support the video and the crazy dude. Proud Patreon member supporting the channel. Be well be you.
Finally, the real Lara Croft not what is they did to our beloved baddie in the recent cartoon! Amazing work!
There is nothing wrong with the cartoon. She is the Lara from the survivor games, not the original games.

God, you make me larf, dude. Thanks! And... awesome job as always.
Much appreciate the work that you're doing. The quality is exceptional, just wish I could get to a standard of yourself. Another great video!!!

This is Eidos Lara, the animated series is Crystal Dynamics Lara.
Do you post longer uncut painting videos on your patreon?
First real one after the publish
I am old enough to be your dad, great work son.
LOL- I want to know where that paint dust is going from the spray booth! AWESOME MAN/DAD
Wow! Cool she looks imacculate! Id love to buy that
Hey YT Dad .. Amazing Sculpt and Always Awesome Paint Job .... can i ask (as hopefully getting my first printer soon) roughly how much resin did you use for this model? ty
What kind of illuminated shelf do you have? It looks really cool.
Ahh there they are
I’m sure it all depends on the model, but how much paint do you go through? Or how long does a bottle of reikland fleshade last?
What are these poles/sticks called you use for the figures?
Imagine if Netflix stuck to what Lara actually was...
Boytjie, can you give us tips on how to keep our brushes nice and lekker?
>>>>wow
Hey dad. I'd like to see you put together a skin tone set using the Atom paints from Ammo by MiG.
Как всегда КЛАСС 👍
