understand the game better or dont play. there are tools out there in and out of game for you to play the game properly. learn every role to extent that you can play the game normally at.
@@ryanmccarthy7281 The vast majority of players don't do that, though. There are plenty of OTP-s out there even around challenger, like ScrubNoob and Sinerias. They are really good at the game, have one or two pocket picks if their main gets banned, but they would get absolutely bodied if they are autofilled mid lane for example against an actual challenger mid laner. It's really not that weird, even non-otp players only play at most 3 roles, if you try to be good at everything, you will be good at nothing.
@@ryanmccarthy7281everyone has learn the roles at some point though. You can’t really learn jungle in a bots game beyond basic pathing. Bots wont give you situational pathing or even a jungler to contend with. It’s all free. So in my opinion the best time to learn other roles is a five stack of friends so you’re not ruining a random teammate’s game

Valve fixed this for Dota by demanding cell phone numbers be connected to any account trying to play ranked. It sucks a lot for people that can't afford cell phones, but for the rest of us it has meant an incredible reduction in smurfs and bots
Not being able to afford a cellphone while having a PC capable of playing DOTA + internet seems like someone making excuses so they can keep smurfing tbh.

I had a game recently with a Sivir adc in high plat, she looked like she didnt even know what farming was and she admitted in the chat that she was pretty new to the game.
I also had a new player like you just mentioned! It was a lux in low plat that also said she had no clue why she was that high of a rank when shes completely new to the game

The very last game I played today had a Galio mid in it, comp looked good.. until the enemy Yasuo farmed his ass on repeat. Turned out he was lvl 31 and got thrown into the deep end of low plat. We lost.. just when I was on a winning streak too. I wasn't even mad, poor guy has been losing for days.
low elo here - I play ARAM most of the time cuz Im scared of playing ranked, BCS every time I play ranked, I get plat teammates even tho Im bronze 4 and then I get death threats when I'm doing something wrong (I'm still low-key new to the game). It's interesting that I can't duo with my plat friend BCS we have rank difference but I can play with other plat/emerald players.
this video also doesn't bring up the fact that a lot of people with "old" accounts (like me) usually get like +20 lp for win and lose -30 for loss, making it that much worse when you run into iron inters on your main account. There is literally 0 upside to not making a new account. Ridiculous that riot is basically forcing you to smurf if you want to play ranked.
Staring s3 I agree with this. Only problem for me is I’ve spent so much money on skins and I genuinely enjoy using them a lot it’s hard for me to start anew
There is an upside though: Riot can then boast about having a lot of new accounts playing on their games every month.

How the fk did they fix the problem? Like atleast let me reset my mmr dudes, ok put me back to p4 BUT give me my fkin normal lp gains! I wish there was a 'drop a rank button but equalise your mmr' so I don't have to play 100 games to drop down a whole division and normalise my LP gains

This season has been so fucking weird for me. One day I’ll have 6 straight wins, the next day I’ll demote and theres barely a middle ground. Im not the type of person to be like “i cant climb bc my teammates are bad” but its so weird how just today my first 4 games all had a troll or an afk. On top of this it seems like in every other game one team had a smurf and/or someone who was 2 whole ranks below everyone else. Every session feels like 1 step forward and 3 steps back lmao
feel you, early season i climbed my way into emerald 3 and then had massive lose streaks. im not saying it was all my teammates fault but i did get a lot more inters and poeple giving up only 10 minutes into the game. my winrate is still at a solid 61% btw. i just lost interest to try and climb again after getting demoted to plat 1.
I also climbed to silver 3 (started out in bronze 3-4) and then one day I lost 9 out of 12 games, most of them because of trolls or afk's. I got demoted to bronze eventually and my winrate dropped in that one day from 60% to 54%. Luckily I didn't give up after that and now I'm back in silver 3.
It was normals but dude… I’m Emerald IV and there were 3 Master players in the enemy team and none in my team. How is that? 😂 I was catched off guard for high elo.

I literally had an iron 1 in my gold 1 game. The enemy team had bronze 4. They could not duo because everyone else was gold. And of course, you guessed It, both players got trashed and flamed. 200 years my ass, I want people with neurons in their brain. It is especially bad for me because I play scaling champs top and when my team gets stomped, I just lose. I just have these games over and over again and I am sick of it.
This was me. Bronze IV in a game with 9 golds. I right off the bat said sorry and luckily my team was forgiving.

It's been going on since the creation of the hidden mmr and removal of elo. I used to be silver in season 3 and in all my matches I would get full teams of gold all the time while being the only silver and I was unable to rank up. Ranked is just a time sink to hook you on the game and create an addiction. If they cared elo system would be back and hidden mmr disappear but that would put to light all the shenanigans they do to create league junkies.
@@cloudwalker9572 hello , i'm one of those junkies , i used to be silver in season 3 just like you , when i started ranked , and i had the same experience you had. in fact i learned a lot about the game because i wanted to be better , and from s3 to now , i can say it , i'm better than before. really. but despite trying again and again , i never reached out of silver. last month i reached a point i could never imagine and that has never happened , i was demoted to bronze and it was the final blow to my mind , i raged-uninstalled. 3 weeks later i reinstalled , did 1 aram ; matchmaking enemy : 1 master with 4 premades all high elo ; mine? me + 3 new players under lvl20 and one iron.... feels like i'm beeing punished and i dont even know why.

One of the worst decisions Riot did was making the entire ranking process super quick. The matchmaking system can't correctly set a players skill anymore so the skill differences within games are all over the place. It constantly has to predict the skill level which leads to it overshooting or undershooting constantly, leading to "technically" fair but in reality very unfair matches
You're probably right about this. Though I think that if a player is accomplishing 60-70% or higher win rating, they should be greatly accelerated to climbing the through the ranks. I've played just about a 100 games this season, and i was at a 70% win rating, then 60% win rating, and down now to 57% win rating, and I'm still not out of bronze. I had to climb out of low Iron btw... Truly unmotivating, hence the reason I haven't played very much in the last couple weeks.
I was really feeling that this season would be the year that I would get through the Gold ceiling, as I've never gotten into Gold, after playing ranked since S3, always getting close in high silver, but never through. I've been playing League since open beta, and I'm not a bad player :(
Check out one of my ranked games I uploaded to my channel this season. I had 35 KDA as ADC and my game still was almost a loss.
Ranking process doesn't have anything to do with matchmaking, the ranks you see are just a skin that don't mean anything so it doesn't affect the quality of games. It does affect people's perception of things though, using real examples from Riot themselves, they made it too easy to rank up compared to demoting last season, which led to insane rank inflation. They also added a new tier of ranks which spread people out more.
Because of those two factors, players with the same MMR could be anywhere from Silver 1 to Emerald 4 which is a crazy gap for players of literally the same skill in the same game, but the matchmaking system was still the same because your rank doesn't really matter, and these players were all roughly low/mid-Gold quality players (pre-Emerald). So the quality of the games stayed the same, but because of the wide of ranks, people perceive it differently.

Seems like lol is going the same thing with lol as they did with wr. Basically boosting up new players to higher ranks for that sweet dopamine kick thus motivating them to buy skins, wild pass etc, while at the same time driving away their old player or "forcing them" into smurfing/turning them even more toxic.
Dude i'm Emerald 3 atm, I have at least 2 smurfs every single game. Level 3X. How can Riot claim that their matchmaking is fair ??????
And the players either goes teemo 0/15 or Kayn 15/0. It's ruining the fun coz it makes it even harder for me to actually have an impact.
Also they are toxic as hell since they bought the account for a couple of € or $ and don't give a shit if it gets banned.
It's been 2-3 years already and Riot doesn't care at all.
And yeah, as u mentionned, new players get veeery often mistaken by Riot for smurfs.

i agree mostly, but riot has tried fixing this in the past and honestly has worked somewhat
ofc its not perfect and still needs a TON of improvement, but one major change is that they removed the effect that your physical rank (being bronze, silver, emerald) has on your matchmaking aka they only take your mmr into account
not to invalidate your feelings but you're emerald 3, which is relatively high on the ladder
if the level 3X's are there, that means the system has recognized they are smurfs/good at the game and placed them with higher mmr folks
MUCH MUCH better that they are playing against emerald players than "stuck" in silver or gold stomping players who aren't as good as them
then again, i still agree that riot needs to take a MUCH more active role in many of the problems than making bandaid fixes that solve only part of it
I doubt you have 2 smurfs every game, also some games it might not be a smurf problem just that the other is an inter and feeding. Emerald is a weird rank cause some games it feels like a high elo game and others make it seem like Iron and they run around like headless chickens doing nothing, and that makes the normal emerald player stand out but still not being a smurf.
Emerald is the worst rank ever. 90% of games are one side stomping the other. There are rarely games that feel like it’s a fair match. I’ve lost track of how many teammates I had that feed, then whoever got fed on the enemy team just steamrolls everyone and it’s literally impossible to counter it. I look at these feeders accounts and they have 10+ loss streaks yet still manage to stay in Emerald because occasionally they match against people who somehow suck even more than them…
I dont think you are getting smurfs in your games but your teammates might just be hard inting against your opoments the reason why im saying this is because most players who smurf come from diamond or low master elo because when they find someone whos above 200 lp in master and crushes them in laning phase their ego gets hurt and they turn to smurfing now heres the thing the amount of players in diamond and apex leagues is objectively very small and the majority are still looking to climb and improve or are just mad fkers who spam shit tone of games cuz they are too angry because they are hard stuck to actually put in the work to climb anyway so the amount of players who would smurf is even lower which implies that the chance of getting one smurf are already low and for 2 of them even lower even i am getting a lot of inters especially in bot lane who go 5/20 in a d1 master games so i can only imagine what might be happening in the lower ranks

The reason I finally quit league is that I'm a low silver player at BEST, and yet every game I played across every game mode was routinely against Plat and emerald players. I literally couldn't play the game and it was just far too frustrating. I know I'm not a good player and I don't have the time to practice or get better, but I really shouldn't have to.

Yet I can never get out of silver elo because every game is literally a coinflip. I had a hunch about this and now it's confirmed after watching this.

I been moba free (LoL and dota) for almost 7 years now, maybe quit tbh.. it will be hard, its hard to not play as much with friends that stay, and harder to find a go to game to chill.. but you will be happier, go to the gym bro, play other games, look for offline single player games too, you will feel better in the end
@@janmajnik6889trust me its not working like that. If you are stuck in a elo, your actual elo is really close to that. For 8 years i said the same but looking at back i was actually not good. You just feel like it, you get better by playing. My first time playing placement i got silver 3, in 1 month i climbed to gold at 11, 2 years later platinum at 13. Diamond in 1 years at 14. masters in 2 years at 16. And hit gm+ after 1 year and still gm for 2 years euw. This is how it goes it takes alot of time to climb. And every rank ive been in i said the same as you. To rank up you just need to play the game which is the sad reality of the game.
Finished in D4 last season. This season riot's beautiful system put me in G2 and basically locked me into mid plat, the second I get to P1 afks, disco Nunus, bots and griefers.
I remember Riot said 'we want players to always have a goal in mind'

I kid you not every single game after that 0/30 bot lanes, troll picks running it down, junglers inting my lane, afks, ect. Now im dragged all the way down to plat 2 with a 47% wr hardstuck. dog shit game and company.

The funny part is that the balancing is not only a ranked problem. I've been learning the game with my brother and girlfriend in the last weeks, and in low level quickplay games, we're NEVER playing against low level players. It's ALWAYS lvl 200+ players, with more than 300k mastery points, and they ALWAYS run us down. It's ridiculous. Every game we're always thinking about just giving up and quitting.
Do all yourselves a favor and quit. If you think about quitting then quit, don't half ass it, it's a bad habit to stuck with things that are hurting you. There's so many better things in life than playing league.
same, i'm playing draft normals all the time, i'm no more than bronze level and my micro and macro is not good, i'm getting plats/emeralds all the time and even diamonds sometimes as my opponents and funny thing is my teammates always maximum silver or gold. this is leading a huge losing streak and unfun games and when i win 1 out of 10 games its because i get those plats and emeralds as teammates and the enemy team getting bronze/silvers. Yes since its normals i'm not losing anything but still i'm not having fun by getting stomped by high elo players.
i can't talk about ranked since i'm not playing there but there is something wrong with the matchmaking in normals and aram now. in season 13 everything was decent for me but on season 14 its unplayable.
Trust me, just keep playing and learning the game. Dont focus on the losses, but learning the character and lane you are playing. Once you have a decent understanding of the game, you will see that those people you were against were not good. lol mastery 9/10 times means nothing.

The problem with new accounts is primarly that there are likely more smurfs than actual new players.
Quit it after 1 week of S14.
Game has been dying for 2-3 seasons and Phreak has been happily nailing the coffin while arrogantly making all the wrong decisions based on misleading reasons (champion changes, pings, chat, placements, items, preseason is gone...)
Feels good to be set free after 10 years though.
No one ever really quits league. Even if it takes you 5 years like me, you’ll be back.. see you soon.

Meanwhile my main and kinda only acc I use to play in gen or ranked.. was stuck in iron for the longest and I hit bronze after a lot of spam and luck... DUDE FOR FK SAKES I'm one of the best players in the world and best and only tactician... I even fking came up with solo Baron for Aphelios and I did it fast and have it on my channel ffs xdddddddd

What makes it difficult is not just running into fresh players. Newer players youll eventually not see, and smurfs (if they arent actually griefing to drop levels) will eventually climb. But the issue is more in the sense of higher rank individuals soft inting games to try to get the game lost to start the next one. So youll get an Em. player just giving up and running it because they got a new player on their team and its "not worth playing."
So as much as i hate new players, i hate my peer veterans for being weak mentalled little plebs.
i started my league acc in like 2018 or so but didn't hit level 30 to play ranked until a few days ago when i wanted to hop back on, and i feel so bad for my team having to put up with me and flaming me every game😭😭😭

Honestly i even started a twich account yearrrsss ago, roughly 2015ish also and i wanted to stream and was always ashamed of always losing!
I've had ~10 successful reports in the last couple days. It's gotten to the point that I get a "thank you for reporting" box every time I log in lol. What a great state this game is in.
Finally someone is talking about new players' fucked up rankings! Me and my boyfriend have just started playing ranked a couple months ago and after initial (all lost!!!) games got placed in plat. We were so confused cause we couldn't even find any people talking about similar cases at the time. The path down elos is so demotivating and I felt really bad for the players who were actually in the right elo. Basically, extremely fucked up experience for everyone. We just returned to playing ARAM for the time being for the sake of our sanity 💀💀💀
I wouldn’t play ranked until you have a solid grasp of the game, there’s a lot to learn and a ton of depth to the game, I recommend playing draft until you’re confident in your abilities and champion knowledge. Of course, you don’t have to play ranked at all, a lot of people play casually too, whichever is more fun

The solution is actually pretty easy:
Require a verification process for ranked play. You could do that by a phone number. That will not eliminate all of them. But it makes it considerably harder to smurf and evade bans.
they'll never do this because new account are profitable for riot. People buy boost, skins, get banned, and restart while riot takes the money
I saw a riot post that was like, (paraphrased) "losers queue doesn't exist and we've fixed mmr, you wont get people outside your rank anymore" and I've had more matches where we've been fighting golds while having silver and irons on our teams as gold-silver rank...like 3 matches in a row with Iron 2s .
Riot really trying to gaslight their playerbase as if theyre kindergarteners that will believe anything you tell them.

True I'm hardstuck iron and I constantly get put vs golds like 50% of games and many of them I lose them even winning my lane because MY TEAMMATES AREN'T GOLD they are iron too but the TRUE IRON low mmr if u know what I mean

I quit and will not go back, there has been a HUGE spike in both "free win" and "free loss" scenarios. They have prioritized, over most things it seems, any given account winning 50 out of 100 games, instead of each having a 50% chance to win any given game.
75% of the games you play are free win or free loss nowadays. Yep.
Shit like this wouldn't happen if Riot hadn't removed our ability to check teammates profiles in champ select.

@@goose2806 You lose LP but not MMR so theoretically after that you should get a little bit more LP since your rank is a tiny bit lower compared to your MMR then it was before

@@goose2806had a bot. 5 minute dodge. Few games later I think it was a half hour? Get back on around 9 to play with some buddies and my friend pointed out a bot. Picked yi ADC hoping to bait a dodge. Told him I’d dodge if no one else does. Well doesn’t my dumbass forget and catch a 12 hour suspension right as my friend hops on🤦🏽♂️ all to avoid this issue that shouldn’t be ruining what feels like every other game when these problems go on a rise
For the first point, this has always been a problem and is somehow only worse now.
I first started playing League in 2019. When I hit around level 30, I decided to give ranked a crack. I was immediately put into games with people who were LEVEL TWO HUNDRED. I got completely demolished, screamed at, probably reported and lost every single placement game. I did not play ranked for three years after that. Late last year and early this year have been the first times I have actually started to play ranked again, and it makes me so angry that somehow this problem is even WORSE now!

@@cloudwalker9572 +1 I stopped playing LoL aroun 2023 nov. And now i have much more time. I started playing more single player games insted (around 1-2hour a day at weekends) and its so peaceful. I love League, i mean the champs, the lore. I think its really good, but the gameplay itselfe, and the community.... Well its the opposite.... xD
The lvl requirement should be higher before being able to played ranked. That would give new players the chance to learn the game more, and since Vanguard is coming out in LoL soon, botting will be pushed down so people would need to put in effort to level up a smurf account. That's the only thing I came up with.
Maybe let's see first if Vanguard really brings down the number of bots significantly.

I feel like the higher level req would actually help - but only if you remove the XP boosters from the shop, otherwise they'll just buy them and price the account higher when selling it to cover the cost. (but that's unlikely as I imagine those boosters make riot a lot of money via smurfs....)
@@MaxRide1I have no clue how much Riot makes by those EXP boosts, but I like the idea of removing them, since that would be another way to stop them.
After my friends convinced me to play ranked for the first time in like 2 years, I am placed in Plat 1 in flex after 4 placement games. We lost all of them miserably, and I did nothing in them. I just don't get this at all

Just have above 50% winrate and you'll climb. If you feel like playing more rank as a constant threat due to potentially losing LP even, then it's simply proof that you are in the rank you belong to.
You gain almost 25 LP? that's almost 1/4 of the entire division!
win four games in a row? most likely a promotion. Win even more in average and you probably skip divisions

i’ve been having +22 -28 lp all season so far, usually around high gold - low plat but the teammates recently have been unbearable. it’s either i absolutely stomp but my team is doing terrible/trolling, or i get smurfed on and the game is now unplayable. idk what’s happening but it has been basically unplayable.
the ppl u call smurf are actualy real gold low plat and u lose cause u don't belong there u don't have knowledge to beat them and that's why u call them "smurfs" but there not they just put more time in to the game then u if u cant win at least 2 games in a row u dont belong there its why u get 22 lp and u lose 28 cause u probably win 1 lose 1 u need to win more then u lose to stay in that rank or u don't belong there and the system is trying to fix that for u by derank u to ur rank
@@zack164 false you can see if someone is a smurf, you also can bringt them easily to admit so its easier for you to report and get them banned. Just ask them if they cheat and when they say they are just better than ask them why they are in Bronze and than they will admit that they are smurfing. Easy report, easy ban.
But Riots has to change the creation of the account, it has to been connected to your passport so everyone can only make one account.

I've personnaly never trusted solo ranked queues , never been interested in who have the biggest Duck and can carry everyone solo, it's a team game and i've always followed that path whether it was before (ranked team rankeds good old times , god i miss teams rankeds with our tags on) , or now flexs, and i personnaly enjoyed all my games (can't say the same for my friends LOL) , playing the game as intended. im a bronze player in my 3rd season since i started in 2022, i recently promototed to b4 for the second season in a row, iu still have negative lp gains despite running into gold plat players regularly in my normals. as soon as i hit bronze i get fckd to death being the only bronze player in a gold elo game, which is leading to insane amounts of toxicitity from the entire lobby (and i disagree, i am not responsible for being in this game so everybody insulting in super-inhumane ways isnt relatable, they should be peramnently banned tbh), this is happening til im iron 1 again where i easily rank up, just to run into my next gold lobby. (and all of this with -7 lp average gains)
Its not rank thats important its the hidden mmr, so those goldirs have low mmr and you have high mmr

I've had this told to me from so many "high elo players" its actually insane. I started playing in season 2, hit silver ONE TIME in season 5. After that I noticed bots from hell & its just been getting worst and worst each year. I've even run into the accounts that bluntly post their youtube OF THEM RUNNING IT DOWN! I've reported these accounts & dead ass nothing gets done. Like thank god to those that made Blitz & Porofessor. Because now I could truly see im not insane & ive been getting cheated for yeaaaaaars. And the fact "just now" said something about this 10+ year problem is actual insanity.
I remember going to a Tyler1 stream when they released the "hiding of names" being told "its making the game better because you have fewer dodges at the start."
All this did was piss me off even more because now it meant the person 1st picking Soraka or Yuumi was either real or fake & now that it was the same on Blitz/Porofess, I now couldn't dodge until the match started. Which now meant you're at the mercy of a shit list of problems: its a bot account that's gonna do nothing, its a bot account thats gonna feed 3-4 times then leave lane, its a bot thats gonna feed then leave the game at 15mins, its not just 1 bot its a duo so 1 lane is shit & the other is 20/0/0; or a duo & they both shit, etc etc. To have that many issues to worry about before even doing anything is already destroying the mental & now the game starts lol.

This season I created a new fresh account and try harded in norms and bot games until I got ranked unlocked. I placed gold 1 after placements and then hit plat for the first time ever in like 3 days lol. Def a rigged system.
Also on my main account I’m kinda just playing whatever I want and having fun instead of tryharding and it demoted to iron from gold. But there is no skill difference imo from high iron to low gold. I play in Korea tho so might be deifferent for other regions. Plat tho is noticeably different in terms of overall game quality I will say

Dude i seriously dont get it, ive been gold-play for the past year, and the last two splits of ranked (2023) were pretty normal, like games felt fair and i won when i shouldve and lost when i should but this season has been an absolute joke and i have no idea what happened. Literally EVERY game i have a teamate troll pick, someone has 5 deaths at 5 minutes and the toxicity from these idiots has been incredible. My friend says he reports anybody who shows any form of malice such as non stop ping harassing or champselect mishover trolls, even dc's, or even if they type too much (his reasoning is that they cannot use their skills when chatbar is opened and are proned to feeding and/or distracted). He mentions how he gets unskilled players, he stays quiet however bad they are performing, after they feed hard and start venting and flaming on the team and he just silently reports them. Last thing he told me was Split and Season 14 are the worst.
If the iron 4 boosters is true, bronze-gold has to be the most miserable elo to play if that's your real rank, my god lol. You either get paired with smurfs trying to win, or people losing on purpose.
That's about it. I ranked through this shit from bronze 3 to gold 2, then I was stuck between gold 4-2 because in every single game I would either have trolls/bots/afk/leavers/smurfs in my team or in enemy team non stop. I just uninstalled , this season is pure garbage. (mind you I don't care about the climb, its just no game was fun like at all, no matter if it was a win or a lose)

I've come across these bots, they were a duo bot lane. The moment they were in lobby they'd ban champions the ally team hovered. Ran it down in game. Always the same build (Jaksho first item). It's absolutely disgusting.
League is just miserable in general, not ranked alone... And the reason for it just boils down to riot not giving a crap and focusing on the wrong parts of the game.
Since season 7 I always speed run during the first days to gold and leave/freeze it and then spam only arams because comparing SR to HA, arams games are simply shorter and especailly less toxic.
I've started off in bronze 4, and every single game including placements im just getting matched with trollers who're purposely only in queues to spoil games for people, I'm currently on a 12+ loss streak over the span of 4 days, non of these players are even trying, literally just running into the enemy towers or flaming/taunting the enemy players in all chat until they purposely throw the match when we're at the end, mean while the enemies i feel like im playing against diamond+ players who're all in a 5 person group fully coordinated. Quite frankly, i'm just exhausted mentally, all i can do is report them and try and give details but riot has done nothing to any of the players who're only here to grief.

This season has been hell even for me and it doesn't help im in lower elo. Last season I got to silver from Bronze 4 out of my placements in like less than 10 games. Now I am actually stuck in silver4-bronze1 limbo cuz EVERY GAME I get someone with weak mental who threatens to run it down, actually runs it down, and/or spams ff in chat as early as 2 MINUTES IN before afking. I even got blessed with a Brand bot support in my ranked game (cuz Yuumi was banned) who did nothing but afk under tower and purchased dreammaker as his supp item. LOVE THIS SEASON!

This is so true, I started playing league 3 months ago, i am lvl 45. First ranked, got placed in G3. Mass flamed by teammates, explaining i am low lvl got me "just dont play ranked"-ed. Why play the game atall then? now me and my mate are stuck with turned off chat in ranked, hoping if we play enough games we'll end up in low enough rank to actually be able to enjoy the game...

Another good way to stop this. Capp all new accounts to bronze. Make it mandatory to be at least level 50 instead of what it is now to play ranked games. And have every account verified via emila phone to be able to playbranked.

i had an interesting bot encounter. i was autofilled adc but swapped with top and the support followed me top for some reason, wasnt until they didnt ever go to bot lane did i realize that this support robot account was programmed to follow the assigned "adc" which was me and randomly throw out abilities. they picked taric.

Im currently sitting at D4 and i have a bronze friend who i GENUINELY think deserves at least plat, he was telling me about how difficult it is in bronze because of this exact issue. I didnt believe him (because y know you can 1v5 in that elo) but then i spectated his games and its no joke....he mains adc and over half his games the support stands behind tower and afks, the junglers often play the game for the first 5 to 10 min then afk farm literally until the match is over and this exact scenario is every other game for him.
Its fun to torment the bronze though i have 3 acc one i use to climb thats emerald one i use if i dodge too much thats gold and the last one i use to untilt by tilting others that one is in bronze😂

I would like to say that I had the displeasure of having “forsurehuman” in one of my ranked lobbies today. Add 1 to the 50,000 total lol.
Something I also realized, I have multiple accounts all ranging in different ranks from plat (neg w/r) to d1/d2 (60% w/r) but when the split started they all ended up in the same spot (emerald 4-3), Why is an account that was plat with neg w/r ended up in the exact same spot as a d2 account with 60% w/r, This confused me so much this split and has made the game feel so awful to play
Finally, someone says it. If your argument for why the game is balanced hinges on playing 1000s of games to even out terrible odds, you might as well stop pretending it's skill-based and go flip a coin.
The system is worse than that. It tries to force 50% winrate. So if you actively try to climb and don't belong in your division. Congrats. Constant Neverending cycle of winstreak with normal teammates then loss streak with teammates with 15% - 35% winrates till your lp is back to where you started. I've climbed out of iron 7 times and been forced back down 6 times this season alone. I have another account where I'm high Plat and steady with 50% winrate SO FAR. It's outright rigged against the player in all the worst ways

Another root of the problem is that the MMR system is based purely on winning or loosing a game. Nothing takes into account individual performance in a game mode where individual performance is what decides the issue of a match most of the times. I once had an int feeder yasuo midlaner in my game. He went 1/25, we managed to win despite him, and this allowed him to improve his MMR. He should have lost MMR instead.
I started playing about 4 months ago, playing around with co-op vs bots, I decided one day to play ranked I was bronze (with plat or Diamond players), around then I didn't know why they were calling me a troll as I played support. We lost that game and they said "supp diff". Really had me stressing for 20 mins. Never played ranked again since then.
This is why I only play ARAM

@@hyd3334 Well, here's my two cents: first, it is clearly not easy detecting "inters and trolls", since many could just be false positives, and an automated system wouldn't understand the difference. I have no idea what a "soft" inter is, so i can not comment on that. Smurfs are unfortunately allowed by the game's system, and mmr does little to nothing against it. Again, it is quite hard to be effective at tackling such an issue, since mmr only judges win rate, which is not indicative of gameplay level. I'd personally just do nothing about it, remove mmr, make ranks count more, and make newer accounts gain ranks way faster, through maybe an average of won vs lost enemy rankings, like chess does.
On the other hand, reporting and banning toxic players is incredibly easy (no false positives, really) and also helps keep the game fun. So, nothing wrong with that.

thats why I quit ranked and just play my placements to get the free vic skin every split, played this game since season 1 and even have become an indie dev nowadays, and it just disgusting how they ruined the ranked integrity by questionable design choices or removing existing systems to "improve player experience" like smurf Q, so much disconnect to the playerbase, hopefully it will bite them like every other big companies, I am so happy that the indie scene is thriving like pal world, and players are slowly learning to support good devs only such as from baldurs gate, helldivers etc.
Don't underestimate the power of a person doing something out of spite.
I mean, a lot of our problem IS self-sabotage and blaming the design of the game or champions instead of yourself for making mistakes and such, or for not adapting to any changes to the game. Just listen to Broken by Concept and you'll feel better. But the thing is, that's also half true, this is a complicated problem. I love ranked and I love the competitiveness of League. The sheer variety of champions, the mechanics, the lore, the artstyle, and so much more, it's just a lot of fun. But ranked is kind of a mess. I'm not going to pretend League of Legends is perfect, that would just be dumb. I recently started ranked for the very first time, after just playing Normal Drafts for my entire history with League of Legends. It placed me in GOLD ONE... and I lost almost 20 matches in a row, so now my MMR is in Iron while I am Silver 3. Ridiculous, much? Riot needs to do something, and I say this out of love for the game!

I’ve had consistent botting problems since placements of last season and it used to not be a huge issue for me. I went from mid silver to being stuck in iron suddenly as a support main after getting many adcs who would outright just sit at spawn or do other botting things during placements. Then climbing upward is insanely awful due to the frequency you run into them too amongst other things. I’m sure if I swapped off support it could be easier to actually climb but it’s very one step forward three steps back, crabs in a barrel fest down there. Just throwing in the towel till Vanguard because I have only so many hours to waste in a game.
I got an iron IV farming duo yesterday in my ranked game: Diana jungle and Yuumi sup. Never have I hated league more than then.

I got put into rank and got auto filled jungle but I didn’t have any junglers that I really knew, as I was a top laner. I got thrown into like a plat emerald match and actually got plat even tho I played horrible, one guy helped me out despite flaming me and told me about the system

I looked at my most recent 10 games and 6 of them had smurfs in while 4 of them had 1 player that was 2 tiers below the rest of the players with below 50% wr. Only 4 of the 10 games were 'fair'. The sad thing is that I'm so used to it that i was positively surprised to have as much as 40% fair games.
years ago I made a new account to see what it was like to level up in normal games and before I was even level 30 I was playing against plat/diamond players and was like "hello riot, where are the rest of the not level 30 players?" this was back when levels decided how many points you could select for talent trees (runes now). so i was playing against level 30 characters who had full access to trees while I was at level 20 going "I'm fked"
The inflation is crazy, I last played ranked in 2021 and I was silver/gold in both solo and flex. Not only was I a bad player to begin with, I am also "out of shape" and somehow after 6 flex games I am apparently emerald IV and I also happened to be the best performing on my team for 5 of them

But in Soloq atm pretty much everyone can buy a Acc and get Emerald by simply being lucky and winning 5 -7 games.
It used to be the case that every fresh level 30 account just starts the placements at 1200 Elo, that's it, whatever happened in leveling from 1-30 didn't matter at all. You can't possibly convince me that "doing well" in LEVELING BOT GAMES placing you higher is a good design decision for competitive integrity!! I'd have more faith in a beginner who goes even against other human beginners than one winning 100% of bot games because the bots are weak by design.

I was consistently playing in E2, then peaked into E1 and even played in 3 diamond 4 mmr game lobbies, thereafter losing, I consistently started losing, however, and dropepd into E4 and now my MMR is completely fucked and I've fixed it from +18/-24 to now +19/-20 still in E4, its wild.

I sit down for my 3-block, stick to the Broken By Concept strategy no matter what (I should review more), and I play ADC as well as I can, and I have been silver 4 for 50-plus games now. My ranks have been meh. Silver/Gold.
Finally moved and got better internet.
Hit Plat, then Emerald.
This season I'm Diamond 4, some of my friends who were Diamond last season are hard stuck plat now. This season has been wild.
I got put into a plat game said i was a new player and i actually got an apology which was wild. Most of the toxicity ive seen has been in gold or in quickplay.
Thank you for pointing this out, I'm new to the game and I don't understand how I'm expected to play ranked in a ranked system that is not accurate. I want to be in iron so that I can learn and climb my way out. I don't want to be in a high rank and get called names because idk what I'm doing.
the whole new accs in plat/emerald elo is the most insanely stupid thing i have ever seen in my LIFE of video gaming. they are BEGGING players to flame and tilt.
i love that my mmr was so broken already that i got placed into iron 2 after 22/8 game
the fun starts when u get bots 2 games in a row and then u get a toxic teammate who runs id down mid the third and youre about 70 lp down in just 3 games it just feels awesome and i want to talon e of my balcony
I just started playing ranked again and I've had at least a third of my games just be legitimately unwinnable. Today I had my graves jg say "gg gotta go" 30 minutes into the game we were winning. I've started to main jungle just so that i don't get jungle players on my team, i don't even like jg or a single jg champ...
I can't tell if my teammates are xp farming bots or not, no one types anymore.
I literally had so surreal games that made me question if real ppl were playing ,then I was asking normal things i the chat and literally nobody typed a thing. Makes you wonder...
