We have to make a National Registry for people who abuse animals, the exact same we do for sex offenders. This way they could never buy another animal.
I'm not usually for punishments that publicly shame people, but in this case I am all for it. It would be great to know which people around you lack empathy and are general trash people. If someone is willing to abuse a dog, a creature whose literal purpose is to seek your affection and make you happy, you know that person treats people terribly and is in general a POS, and I want to avoid those A Holes if possible. And it's not just dogs but all animals; house pets and farm animals. There is so much abuse of farm animals.
I've written my elected state reps and national reps and I encourage everyone to do the same with theirs. Be loud and heard and be a general nuisance to your reps so they know this is an important issue. The more people who do that the sooner all of these wonderful creatures will be safe, or at least safer!

If only humans cared about other humans who had gone through things like this. Most organizations for humans are for specialized situations like women with young children, or those who were trafficked or something. People outside of that fall through the cracks. And even those in those situations only get minimal help.
If only there were real sanctuary for people who went through these things to live in peace and safety for the rest of their lives. It could involve working in some way so that they have things to do, growing their own food together etc. Maybe selling things like monks/nuns do, wines and produce and such things. But secular/non religious so that many people of various backgrounds could be helped.

There is a war going on.
I want to point out this animal would never have to lived to this age in the wild. I don't know if circuses are necessarily bad or that captivity is necessarily bad, but of course it can be.
I used to do dog fostering and rescue, I've had dogs off the street, they are very grateful to have a home. Wild animal rescue is certainly different, but I can see why people do it.

I have 2 rescue lorikeets who had the same fate. Little girl's wings are part bone fused & muscles contracted to the point that they are firm against her body & incapable of movement, due to being in a cage too tiny to fully extend even one wing at a time. Imagine being held in a box too small for you to fully straighten your legs, that's equivalent & because of that permanent inability to stretch, the muscles contracted & she couldn't release the spasms with stretching. Would have been excruciating for months! This bear's shape looks like something similar has happened to it actually

    • @fuzzywzhe
      @fuzzywzhe ปีที่แล้ว

@@standunitedorfall1863 Let me explain what happens in war.
In a war, you might be given the choice of having your CHILD die, in order to save the rest of the family.
You know what happens in places like Yemen and Somalia? A family will find they have no way to make any money, and no way to eat through no fault of their own.
A "nice foreigner" shows up and wants to take little Billie off for a day, and will give you enough money to feed your family for a month, and you've not eaten in a week, nobody in your family has. You have no idea what happens to your kid, but if you don't get that money, maybe your entire is going to starve to death in a week.
      What do you do?
      War is absolutely horrific.
You want to know the horror of the Ukraine war? The US caused it. They overthrew Ukraine in 2014, they didn't have a revolution, they had a coup. This created a division in Ukraine where the Western side accepted it (mostly) and the Eastern side didn't accept it (mostly). They immediately went into civil war.
The US and NATO supported Western Ukraine, and Russia supported Eastern Ukraine. Both sides were armed, but Western Ukraine was FAR more armed. Douma has been bombed since June 2014, Kiev never was. This continued until Russia engaged in DIRECT intervention and don't think NATO isn't engaged in the same thing, they just call them "volunteers", they are paid by the states.
      All could have been avoided.
I used to do dog rescue, I would have died for my animals at one point, but if I was dead, that animal is likely to die. If I had to abandon my dogs to survive, I would have euthanized them, and maybe myself but I would not have euthanized myself if I had a wife and kids.
I think you must be young. I know you think you'd do the right thing no matter what, but as you get older, you have more responsibilities and sometimes, you have to make terrible choices and then, you have to live with it because you have to live, because there's more responsibilities beyond just yourself.
I can't know what this animal went through, maybe what we are told about it is false. You can't know. I feel badly for it, but at the same time, this animal has lived FAR longer than it would have in the wild.
It's kind of current propaganda that people that work with animals, just exploit them. When you work with an animal for any period of time, you develop a connection, or any normal person would. I do.
I got stuck with a WOLF in my dog rescue, full arctic wolf mistaken for a Samoyed mix, full wolf. Animal was nothing but trouble, a nightmare, extremely destructive, wolves are NOTHING like dogs. I still cared for Shiloh, but Shiloh, he did whatever he wanted. Don't get a wolf, you think they are like dogs, dogs are like children, a wolf, that's like having a roomate. It's unquestionably an adult. He liked affection, but he had absolutely no concept of being obedient, and he did whatever he wanted, and NOTHING I could do would stop him.
No wonder his previous owners gave him up. He was trouble.

@@bobs5596 intellectually limited dude, the author of the original comment in this thread did the same thing - generalized people - just in the positive way. While I did that in the negative way. Why you have no problems with false whitewashing of people using generalization? Because it fits your political agenda? Hypocrite.
