I don't know how, but I just found these hair videos and they have helped me soooooo much. I have similar hair to yours, mine is mostly 4bc, find strands and low/medium density, same length. I tried to make the fro with bigger perm rods and it was okay, but too loose. Then I went to Sally's and picked up the white perm rods and BOOYAH. Fro is poppin. Also, I have to style my hair every other day as you do. I try to keep that a secret because folks act like I'm crazy for doing it. My type of hair simply doesn't hold a style for more than a day or two. After that, the frizz and the dryness start to set in. OKAY! It is what it is. So glad that I found someone who can cosign. So I'm NOT crazy. LOL. Thank you!!!!
I’ve always loved Pantene, unfortunately Pantene gold series is pretty pricy here in Canada, ranging from 18 to 35 dollars for each product....it would literally be cheaper for me to make the hour and a half drive across the border to a CVS, lol!

When my 4b/4c hair was moisturized and thriving it looked like this..now its struggling due to different factors..i cant wait to get my hair back to its health.

1) It has literally been DECADES since I last used a Pantene product and I'm pretty sure it was because there was nothing else around. It seems they've finally discovered the Afro-textured naturals. Great job with this video. The next time I'm in a CVS I'll keep an eye out for this line. 2) My hair is looking at yours and whispering to me: "See, that could be us...but you playin." My thin, fine and low porosity hair would scream at me if washed it that much! Your video proves that every black girls' hair can be totally different! Your technique made your hair beautiful but my hair would not have the same end. Do I need to "train" my hair to be that manageable? Your hair is gorgeous!

Hi Kia, great video! I like using the modified split pineapple, it works great when I am rocking my wash and go style and can't yet pull my hair into a high pineapple. I saw this video earlier this summer and rewatched it today bc I have been having a hard time keeping moisture in my hair lately so I'm going to try and layer on products on my next wash day and try to use a little bit of moisturizer every day (or every other day) and see how it goes. There is a lot of gold here, thank you for posting this video, it is helping me a lot on this journey. ^_^

Thank you for breaking down the nighttime routine! I've using protective styles (braids, wigs) on my hair for 5 years and ready wear my hair natural again for the summer! A huge concern/question I have is on working out and shower temp. Esp, in more humid climates how you do manage/wear your hair when at the gym or running outside? Then what temperature is your water when you shower? I ask bc hot showers create steam and shrink my hair a bit. (I'm 4C)

Mineral oil is one the strongest barrier against moisture loss. It's in skin defense products, ointments and such for a reason.

I agree that sulfates are there for a reason because there is a time to use it: In clarifying shampoos. But not a on a weekly basis.
