The Russian “Dead Hand” system is more than what is described in this video. The Dead Hand system must be validated by persons in charge everyday.
For instance, if no one validates or “resets” the system each day, the computers that runs it initiates it’s failsafe program and sends missiles that fly across Russia. These missiles carry no warheads.
These missiles send encrypted radio signals to computers that activate the “Dead Hand” system and tells missiles silos, submarines and mobile nuclear missile battalions to launch their nuclear missiles.
Even if not attacked by another nuclear power against Russia, the system assumes that the command structure has been eliminated if the “reset button” hasn’t been activated and it carries out its program.
So if a “super flu” wipes out the population of Russia and the world for that matter, the “Dead Hand” system will initiate and will destroy what’s left of humanity
