These look super sweet. I think if there was more crossover in boot style from inline it would be way way more fun. It seems ice is either figure or hockey. So I love seeing your crazy freestyle that is much more like wizard skating on inlines. The rocker on these looks very rockered. It looks like fun to me! These might be awesome with something like an intuition liner or even a rollerblade nomad liner. I doubt these will be available in the USA but I will keep my eyes peeled.
My daughter has recently taken an interest in ice (figure) skating and we’ve been to our local rink a good few times. The rentals are brutal and I’m looking to get my first set of skates since I was 13 (30 years ago) and these look just the ticket. Not sure if a set of hockey skates would be too much for me at this age and for the very light skating I’ll be doing.
Sheesh. This is wild. I sell these.... I'm a hockey snob. I've seen you shred cheap skates before it vlew my mind of course you chassis swap. You did the cheap tack 550 last year I sold a ton of those pondskates. Tremblant it's a mountain in Quebec.
That's almost half-way to some inline skates by having a removable liner, haha. It makes me wonder if we're able to swap in liners from other brands like Intuition or Powerslide. This coming Friday, I'll do something similar by using the Powerslide Next with the Trident Ice Blades!
A decent video and an interesting skate. It is as you have said though, it's for recreational skaters. If you skate too hard in them, the issue won't appear right away but their stiffness will disappear very, very quickly and they will lose all stability in the upper foot and ankle in a short period of time. The is always the main difference between high end skates and entry level hockey skates. They'll both do the same things at the start... the issue will be how long they take to mould to your foot and how long any stiffness support lasts.
Great video - but I can't find on the Bauer website the exact color scheme and style you show here. The Bauer site only has a black boot with a white blade and doesn't have the black runners like the ones you show in the video. Why are they different? Is there a link where I can buy the exact ones you show here?
I have wide, flat feet. I'm not a skater, but had lessons in my teens. I'm now 40 and decided to try and just take up a new hobby with my missus. The rental skates really hurt my feet, and I have to take a break every 10-15 minutes. I've just got these and, admittedly I've not skated in the yet but, I tried them on in my house when they arrived the other day and I can already tell they are so, so, so much more comfortable.
@@TimWrightDJ I actually bought two, can confirm they fit on wide feet. We're both beginners and we tried them same day. However, they did not feel sharpened well when we went to skate. Haven't been able to skate since then because we want to sharpen them before we try again. I have a high arch and might need a different insole as well. Have fun skating!
I ordered a pair after watching this video but my frames doesn’t look like theones in your video. Yours looks much better 😕 not that this matters much but still.

My guy, you are talking about me right there at 1:22 :D That's exactly why I'm here
👍🤪
The new age Bauer turbos

Great honest review if an inexpensive skate.
Mont -Tremblant is national parc and (overpriced) ski resort here in Quebec, CANADA :)

They kind of remind me of a mix between rentals and freeride inline skates (bc of the removable liners) 😅
"It's flaws are ground touches!"
Procedes to do some mad shit.
40 year old me as a learner: "Yeah, I'm not going to be doing that"
😅🤣

Literally had the same thought (about swapping the liners) 😆
Hello, advise! bauer colorado or bauer x-ls? Thanks you!
Where can I order them? Cant find them in the t-blade store.
Same here. Can't find them with the t-blade system in any store.
@@BenBartolovic did you find them?
@yousihard8569 nope
Are these still available with the t-blade system? I wasn't able to find them on the t-blade site :(
Please contact tblade direct for this information

Yes

I don't see that holder offered by Bauer distributors, so I'm assuming that's an aftermarket alteration. Doesn't that add to the price?
It's t-blade and yes it does

Then you did not order at t-blade probably
Pronounced Tremm-blont
How can you review a 100€ skate when you're using 150€ blades on it that probably none of us will buy..? It's not the "same" skate.....?!
If I always use the same blade system, then the blade doesnt matter and I can fully concentrate on the boot itself
