Love your passion and channel, man Love that Ice rinks track around the outside too! Wow I'd love to skate some long laps as fast as possible! what a dream!
I feel like rentals aren't exactly bad skates, and the cheapest ones from decathlon are even worse in quality. I just feel it is the fault of ice skaters that are I don't know, throwing those skates, not cleaning them and just destroying them. Also and example from another sport, climbing. At first my climbing wall had like older shoes, that were worn out and bad. But in one point, they changed those and bought new shoes.. They were just so much better, and they were really comfortable, that I didn't even need to buy new ones for a while. Don't know why I'm writing it here, but I'll recommend buying your own climbing shoes if you're climbing like 5b/5c in French notation.
@AlpineIceFreestyle I expected that... Like there are not many people that ice skate and climb simultaneously (I am not talking about people that go to an ice rink twice a season)
Great video, but to be fair unless the rink has just opened then no rental skate is going to be as pristine as these ones. I think you should re-do the video with a pair of ratty, battered rental skates. You know the ones that should have been replaced a few years ago, but the rink is too cheap to do it. Like every rental skate ever lol
@@AlpineIceFreestyle The cheapest I found are BAUER Supreme M3 Schlittschuh Intermediate for ca. 250 EUR. Do you have any tip around 100-150EUR? Or having wide feet there is no cheaper option?
I have the same issue I tried the Bauer X series and both the XLP and XLS felt the exact same. If you are on a tight budget and just want a pair of boots to go skating every now and then, I can recommend the Oxelo IH140 from Decathlon (here in the UK). If you have more money I would suggest going to a skate shop and getting measured up properly and going with what the skate shop suggest.
hey, i was just watching an old fail compilation vid of you and then i remembered a kid in full hockey gear doing a wallride or smt just like in nascar in one of the corners of the rink. would be cool if u tried it lol
I guess it would depend on the type of rental, hockey or figures, straps vs laces, hollow cut, how dull the blades are.

Usually not bad if blade is sharp enough, but mostly don't
Beautiful ✌️
hey, can you make an outside edge stop tutorial.
love the content!
I will keep that in mind🤙

Could you recommend good skates for wide feet for recreational skating? I also have wide feet and have big problem to fit the skates.
Bauer Supreme Series Skates with a EE written next to the size

Cheaper options are worse options...
Maybe the Bauer X
