Very well done! the transition between the films, with the narration from turaga vakama was flawless if I weren't working from an intimate familiarity of these films, I'd likely assume it was how it was supposed to be, in the same vein as the narrator's other speeches throughout lomn the other edits as I recall from the clips you showed also fit right in
As a kid the transition from 2 to 3 really confused me. It was always really…janky. This is the best merging of the two I’ve seen and it finally makes sense
The fact there are people so invested in an imaginary toy franchise that they take the time to meticulously re-edit entire films all in the name of providing for the fandom is….. Probably the most Bionicle thing a non Bionicle species could do.
This somehow simultaneously improves Legends of Metru-Nui as a film, yet also downgrades Web of Shadows as a film. You monster. Nah, this is still spectacular work. You blend both films of really well, and it does improve them both in a narrative standpoint. Editing the music & Turaga Vakama’s narration must’ve been pretty hard.
(Spoiler) Wasn't expecting Lihkan at the end of Web of Shadows there, but it works so well, and the ending narration... so much more powerful. Legends of Metru Nui is still a disappointing movie, but now at least there's a version which plays up its stengths and ties it Web of Shadows better. Been thinking about doing something like this for a long time, but you beat me to it! And did a great job to boot.
I want Bionicle 4 so bad!!! Andrew Francis as Toa Jaller Chiara Zanni as Toa Hahlii Michael Dobson as Toa Hewkii Brent Miller as Toa Matoro Will Arnett as Toa Kongu Kevin Michael Richardson as Toa Nuparu
Matau was a bit arrogant in his way to say it. Bit he wasn't really wrong. Thinking before acting is something he learned and the others mostly didnt listened. A team is not only the leader. The team must be also listen and must talk things through
Have you considered doing a fancut of Mask of Light with the deleted scenes added back in? Not sure how well it would align with the score but it could be cool
To avoid the wonky pacing of two epilogues. I just don’t think they flowed well into each other. Plus Bionicle 2’s epilogue just feels like a better capper bringing things full circle. It doesn’t hurt to leave the He-was-telling-a-story-to-the-others angle implicit, and I felt incorporating some of that ending narration from 3 into 2 was a decent compromise.
Thanks! First half’s the grungier demo version that you can find floating around the ether, but is best sourced from the BioMedia Project. Second half after the beat drop is the original, just edited to be shorter and have a distinct cut off that’s trying to emulate the way the original music video arranged it.
For more than 20 long years I've waited for someone to do a fan edit like this for those two movies. And here I am now discovering this wonderful piece of art a year *after* its been posted. 'Deep breath' This makes me happy 🦾
"If we appear to be toa-heroes, then we _are_ toa-heroes!"
The Piraka: Yeah, yeah, totally.
Can you explain that?

Toa True Hero's and Piraka Anti Heroes like MARIO and LUIGI'S and Wario and waluigi.
A most definite version of the cinematic version of the Metru Nui saga
"Or, are they imposters?"
The sad part is his method of disposing of them wasn't far off from shooting them out of an air lock.
Definitely one of the Bionicle trilogy fanedits of all time.

*best One of the best. I legit plan on showing this version to friends who I get into it, this is such a good way to watch it
@@heroranuva8295 No, just one of the. "one of the" without adding "best" is an internet meme.

Very good I must say.
This was a masterpiece! The transitions were so smooth!
For me at least, this is the definitive version of these two movies.

FANTASTIC WORK!!!
Especially the "What It Takes To Be A Hero" song at the end credits. 👍
Yeah I like this, makes it possible to watch 2 and 3 before MoL and the two presented here flow well together

Am I missing something? Where is Lhikan at the end of WoS?
@@LostHeadStudios It's just his voice. Vakama remembers it as Matau saves him.
I still love Legends of Metru Nui on it’s own, but this I agree with the improvement
