    How long did it take to break in the pro stiff one

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both pro stiff, the blonde one took 1 month to break in because I played more catch with it. The black one took like 2 months to break in, but that’s because I didn’t play as much catch with it and got it during the offseason

    I’m debating if I should get the t web or the h web. Thoughts?

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jared Lepow In my opinion, I think the H-web and the T-web have the same functionality. At this point I think it’s just looks. If you’re getting something with more natural colors, I recommend the H-Web. Flashier colors, get the T-web

  • @milespearlman5688

    Should I go with pro stiff or standard? I like a more broken in glove so I’d be inclined to go standard but it seems like everyone gets pro stiff so I’m torn.

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends… How long do you have until your next season? If you have time to break it in I’d say pro stiff. But if you want to use it more out of the box, go regular stiffness

    • @milespearlman5688
      @milespearlman5688 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does the gill lacing get in the way of 2 in the pinky?

  • @adrianortega4303
    @adrianortega4303 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I have the exact same problem on one of my pro 44 gloves. They put little bit of the fur and my glove had that same bubble in the same area as well. It’s not that you broke it in wrong it’s just the kip leather is just softer and weak. For the longest I thought that Bubble was because I ordered it standard stiff and not pro stiff. Honestly made me upset I kinda don’t like using that glove now because of that. I have another 44 with the sheep skin and it is a lot better, feels stronger and feels like a Rawlings which I like.

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adrian Ortega Yeah I guess due to the fact 44 is a younger company, they don’t have as much experience with craftsmanship. But that lack of experience is made up for with the price. Since I usually get a 44 on sale for around $150, I don’t really mind any imperfections so long as they’re not too big a deal. Let me find a misplaced stitch on a $460 custom rawlings tho... lmao

  • @jaredlepow4075
    @jaredlepow4075 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nothing to do really with the video but if I’m a utility player that already has a pitching and first base glove, do u think I should get 12 inch or 12.25 inches?

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jared Lepow Since you play util I’d say 12.25, since you can use that to play outfield and 3rd base, and you already have a first base mitt and a pitcher’s glove. You would need 11.75 for Shortstop and second base though, if you play those too

    • @jaredlepow4075
      @jaredlepow4075 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      914 Ballgloves would it be bad if I used a 12.25 at short or second? The other glove I got is a a2000 11.5 but isn’t in amazing shape

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jared Lepow So the reason why 12.25 might be too big for short and second is because you usually need a quick transfer at those positions. 11.5 is perfect for second and short, because it makes transfers easier. you can get away with 11.75 at short and second if you get used to it. Since you’re a util you might want these gloves:
      12.25 for 3rd base/outfield
      11.75 for 3rd base/ shortstop/ second
      Pitchers glove
      first base mitt.
      So four gloves.
      If you could only get one glove get a 12inch. Remember though, you can find great gloves for less than $100!

    • @jaredlepow4075
      @jaredlepow4075 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      914 Ballgloves ok thanks! I got a first base mitt Wilson a2000 11.5 inch. And this Wilson glove that’s in pretty bad shape but I can make use of it it’s 11.75. So probably 12.25 should be good 3rd and outfield. And 44 is a good brand for that?

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jared Lepow Yeah 44 makes great gloves and you can customize it however you want! They have a sale right now 20% off until Monday July 27

    Is the snakeskin lighter than the normal leather

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      STC Silence I don’t really think so. They make snakeskin leather by stamping the texture onto a regular piece of leather, so it shouldn’t really be that big of a difference. The perforated leather they offer should be much lighter.

    About how long did it take for yours to ship?

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My first 44 took about 28 days, but that was back before they weren’t as popular as now. After that it seemed like it took longer each time. The quickest one that got to me was 28 days and the longest one took almost 7 weeks. It really depends on what kind of glove you get and how much extra stuff you put on it. A plain glove takes like 5 weeks on average and glove with a lot of embroidery/logos/custom webs takes an extra couple weeks. Hope that helps!

    do you have the kip palm liner? or do you recommend it ?

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So far I’ve gotten kip palm liner on all of my 44’s, and that’s because I want my gloves to be a little stiffer than normal, and plus the kip palm liner makes the gloves a little more durable. I definitely recommend and I think it’s worth the $10. If you like your gloves softer, and only plan on using your 44 for a couple seasons then I’d go with the regular liner. Hope that helps :)

      What do you like better about the HOH?

    • @914ballgloves8
      @914ballgloves8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Benny Miller For me I guess it’s a feel and weight thing, I tend to like tankier gloves. Maybe I’m also biased since I’ve had the HOH for longer so it’s easier to use than the blonde 44 I compared it to. If 44 made more gloves as thick as my blonde 44 then I’d probably just switch to 44 entirely.
