    Your channel is criminally under-rated. I had to playback at 0.75x because i kept missing so many good points one after the other. I would love if you could add more visual prompts, purely from a note-taking viewer's POV. Love yr content! Hope you rocket to 100k subscribers and more!

    I really liked the way you explained all 5. I agree to your list totally. However I cant not think of a PM skill list without PRIORITIZATION. Thank you for your Videos.

      I think now your "Data Driven" point covers Prioritization.

      Thank you Satish! You are right, prioritization is super important. I tried to cover it through other points to share that knowing how to prioritize is not just about stack ranking features, but rather about using data, customer inputs and other things to prioritize

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    01:08 🤝 Empathy is a vital skill for product managers, focusing on understanding and sharing the feelings of users and stakeholders, which helps in designing effective solutions.
    02:34 📊 Being data-driven involves using various sources of data to support decision-making, validate assumptions, and prioritize features in product development.
    04:00 🤝 Product managers need to work cross-functionally, collaborating with different teams without direct authority, and effectively influence them to achieve common goals.
    05:21 ❓ Dealing with ambiguity is essential for product managers, as they often need to navigate uncertainty while setting a clear direction for projects and products.
    06:47 💬 Effective communication and customer obsession are key elements for product managers, requiring understanding and solving customer pain points while presenting ideas coherently to stakeholders.

    Is it possible for anyone who has only technical experience and zero business experience to get a product management job? I know MBA is one way of doing that but are there any other ways?

    • @PMDiegoGranados
      @PMDiegoGranados  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sagar! There are different ways in which you can transition into a PM role. This might help: th-cam.com/video/VGxBeibPZmQ/w-d-xo.html
      You are right -> the MBA is just one of them, so if you are interested in learning more about business then I do recommend this option. HOWEVER, it's not the only one.
      You can build a side project, but it's not about just coding an app or a product and it can be at work, school or in your daily life. Identify a problem and treat that project as a PM: Identify the problem, talk to customers (interviews and surveys), build a case around it.. if you can code it, awesome! if not, build a presentation/portfolio around it. Show it to customers, get feedback! Make sure to also network with PMs in your company (and outside) to know more about the role.
      ... In the end, this will help you with your resume and to tell the story when you talk with recruiters/hiring managers... or even transition within your same company! Let me know if this helps.
