I think the delay in major orders is just data collection. AH wants to see what the player base will do without orders. They find out how many pure bug/bot divers there are. Helps them plan future orders that are as much fun for players as possible. Just a theory
I am an Xbox player, watched a few of these videos; tripped fell and accidentally bought a PS5 to play Helldivers on. (That’s my story and I’m sticking with it 😂)
Using one of the submachine guns with the ballistic shield works pretty well too. Sure there’s next to nothing for armor pen however it’s still great to distract them and draw their fire. Lets you get an easier headshot on devastators with the secondary and gives your teammates a better chance to deal with them.
5,000 seems fair, i was able to participate in one and a lot of the responses you're typing out full personalized sentences for several questions, if they have to look through 5,000 on both discord and reddit that's a ton of reading, i think it just sucks missing out but i don't think they're getting the wrong data from this sample size
the problem is they are only surveying 1 -2 timezones in those 2 hours. the vast majority of the player population wont have a chance to voice their opinions. this is bad because not all cultures and local playerbases think alike so the survey is in no way representative of the average playerbase.
Considering we average 40k-50k divers during most days. 5k on discord and 5k on Reddit is roughly 25% of the community. That’s a pretty good amount of feedback.
They would need to add dark missions first, because no map is dark enough for NV, if what you want is to be able to see through fog and smoke etc, then you want something like thermal vision

Helmets themselves should provide benefits like-> NVG -> Thermal -> Enemy highlighting, etc, etc, depending on the helmet itself. Maybe even provide a live ping mini map of enemies you can see while fighting.

In regards to the Major Order, it’s either, A, Joel is letting us breathe for a minute after dealing with the Jet Brigade. Or, B, maybe something is jamming communication from Super Earth. Maybe the bots and bugs are hitting other planets right now as I type this. But what could be jamming communication from high command? Perhaps… something highly intelligent, slimy, and smells of calamari?
I submitted feed back for 3 things 1.Throwing knives, we can't melee while holding knives. What? 2. Mechs. Money. A lot of it. One time use? That's just dissidence. MECH RESUPPLIES! 3.New mission types! Mech escort missions. Emergency extract where you dive in and guide citizens to the extract!
Maybe we stopped the Jet Brigade in less steps than AH anticipated. Like branching out to 2 or more planets would have taken us closer to Liberty Day. But there was so many players that the invasion force was whittled down too heavily each step.
Or maybe they are giving us a little rest time, since the next MO could be one with a short timer, but at this point I don’t think so, we are only 2 days from liberty day Now that I think about it, maybe we where meant to lose this one, and the next MO would have been about defending the DSS or one of its sub stations, but since we won, there was no next part

Hey divers! Getting married on Liberty day. got my cape dry cleaned and ceremonial armour buffed. Not quite sure if i put my wifes new name or old name on the C-01 form. Any democracy officers able to assist would be great.
I think a interesting idea the change things up a little would be to add different ways to complete secondary missions. Like imagine one game you find the seaf artillery gun and the ammo is already in it but the gun is broken and you have to fix it with parts laying around. Or maybe you find the missile launcher but instead of shooting air targets it shoots up and comes down on larger enemies within a certain radius. Just a little something to mix it up each game
About the 5k (or 10k if I understood correctly) surveys, if they are a bunch of yes/no questions then yeah, thats not a lot of data, but if they are open question where the person answering it has to write a large amount, then that’s a lot to go through, and to be honest even if the majority of answers are from the no-lifers, since the capacity is 10k submissions from a game with around 40-60k players that’s around 1 in 4 to 1 in 6 players submitting a survey, that a pretty good number I would say, with a high chance that some casual players could have answer it Obviously everyone wants to be heard and to have their opinions be taken into account, but that is simply not possible with the amount of players we have, and they have stated that they also check for feedback on basically every platform, even if it doesn’t look like it, so even if you can’t send your opinion directly to them, there is a high chance that someone in the team sees it in other places We can only hope that people at least take the surveys somewhat seriously so that they get the best feedback possible
as a halo player waiting for a odst like game, putting this on xbox would boost the numbers as most of the halo players will join the fight and have a joint operation!
This is why I went to playing on steam on pc. Used to play on Xbox but wanted to be able to play with others that don’t play same console. Being able to open up to others would be a big plus
If you get a PC and play there, there’s tons of Halo mods, turning armor sets into ODST, Master Chief, even Jerome armor sets. Along with many weapons and SFX to go with it
@@Gobknoblin im on pc and have mcc, most of the "turning" is just overhauls or play as one in the campaign, i could mod HD2 to have different armour, but other than that if it came to xbox the playerbase would go up

As someone who played the first game, it feels like the quiet before the storm. Not putting hope out for something big, but it feels like somethings coming with all the stuff I've seen from the two games.
The Devs were not expecting us to win so soon. We still had more than 24H on the MO left for a last attack from the Jet Brigade, so I think they expected the last MO to last another day. In the message it said "Matar Bay. Others" and no new MO for the next day. Guess we messed their time table..
my guess is Joel was expecting us to fail the third defense and only win a fourth defense, probably on Aesir Pass, but we beat defense 3 somehow and the next major order was scheduled for sometime after we won Aesir
I did the feedback, mentioned the 60day plan being very good.. Only thing I don't "Like" is that the game is getting stale - repetitive. in regard to the same dull planets, enemies and missions. Would love to see new planets and newer missions.

So laying down in bed last night I had this idea that I think would be nifty and increase player morale- " armor bonds" Every 2 to 3 months the devs have a poll and players submit ideas for armor sets and the top 5 or so most voted ideas get implemented into a cosmetic war bond, it would help fill the gaps between the regular war bonds and it would make the player base even more involved. Also make the price of it 500 or 750 super credits since these warbond types wouldn't feature weapons or strategems in said warbonds
There was still a while to go on the order when it was completed. What we did was earn some time to go attack and defend at our leisure without anything critical.

Don't know what the hell is going on with this game.. four of us playing Super Helldive last Thursday with no to very little spawn of bugs upon mission completion and scratching our heads waiting for the Pelican for pick up...this Tuesday completely different game altogether, called Pelican for pick up and we couldn't get anywhere near it to extract..four bile titans and a butt ton of hunters ABSOLUTELY INSANE.. WTF is going on????
Wish there was a reward system in place for surviving and completing a mission without dying. Perhaps tally parks in blood, oil, or bug blood on your character’s shoulders everytime you survive a mission to completion. Would make for a more conservative play style! ✌️love your channel man keep it up!
its extremely short sighted to use 2 hour lasting surveys and only take number of participants into consideration. how can they not realize the world has timezones and the vast majority of the playerbase is soundly sleeping during that short window of time.
The survey contains lots of text you can add. So someone needs to read each one. Besides, 5000 is plenty of feedback from a statistical accuracy point of view.
I noticed yesterday the crew members on the lower deck in my bridge will one by one sink through the floor and disappear. I wonder how long it'll take for them to fix that, until a few days ago I straight up thought nobody spawned down there.
Same. I spawned down there and fell through the floor. The guy standing there used to have a speak button like the others on deck. Always wanted to get down there and hear what he says. After this last update the button is gone . Guess we’ll never know
If there is not a major order at the moment can I suggest something for the bot and bug players, keep liberating plants around the DSS construction and things pertaining to it, bots I recommend libration of clasa, vog- sojoth and lesath to create a barrier for the DSS construction , bugs I’m unfortunately not to knowledgeable on what is going on there but recommend libration of planets around the DSS thing there this is just my recommendation
Also Numbers with Xbox would be objectively good, but big heads are usually extremely far from from understanding anything about the games they handle or how to make money
Not all of us feel the need to complain directly to Arrowhead. Most companies don't care so unless you're already one of those people that do it, the rest don't care enough.
That sweet lock on targeting while ragdolling too, I don't mind them trying to create new ways to make the game more challenging, but I will say the busted patrols and instantaneous spawns as soon as you turn your back aint the way, that's just cheap.

Crossplay progression not really a big deal for me😭🤷♂️, I rather they focus their time and effort on dropping some new content. Exp:(weapons, new enemies, the Dss, map designs, ect….)
Every mission counts, you don’t have to do all 3 to have it count towards overall liberation. It literally shows your progress being added, finishing an operation just gives you a lot more.
5,000 on each platform is 10,000 assuming no dupplicates, even without, 5,000 is still lot of data to sift through, throw out the false data and understand for a small studio, thought i think they should start some more in the middle of the day to help none morning birds.
Why can't they just put a terminal on the ship that EVERYONE can use to fill out a survey in game? Maybe give out some samples or R-slips or super credits for answering their questions.
Because everyone would want to fill the survey, and that would be too much data, they would need to outright ignore a portion of the submitted surveys, or they would need to simplify the questions to the point they don’t get ACTUAL, well though out or written data, and instead they would be a bunch of yes/no question, that, to be fair they could do every few months, but they need more complete feedback right now

I really don't think the game "definitely needs" the player numbers from xbox when the game wasn't even meant to host this number of players we have now to begin with. That said, I see no reason to keep xbox out and would welcome it. More divers for the cause. Also who tf plays on both PC+Console? Sounds hella expensive and unnecessary to me. Almost every game worth playing finds it's way to PC. And if you're dying to play with a controller, you can just plug one in via usb.
Me who has: PC Every PlayStation on the planet. One of the newest Xbox consoles. A Switch. And worst of all, most gamers I run into are the exact same. They don’t bother with console wars and take in views from all sides because they all have something worth playing, and it’s worth playing legally.

As a former xbox player, helldivers would do FANTASTIC on xbox. Xbox is way more geared towards multiplayer games and forming groups than pc and Playstation.

I have finished a couple solo 10s... but not cause I dropped in as a solo. I joined a mission that had 1 side objective and none of the main done and as soon as I landed the other 2 left. Somehow nobody else came in. That was last night on martale. They left me with 2 reinforcements 😂. But I ended up using hit and run tactics. Hit a spot and when a patrol came through id fight if I could but as soon as a bot drop was detected I would just run to the next. I got out with 2 rare samples and the bot head cause they left those at the extract lol and I got all but 1 of the side objectives. So all in all it's possible but holy hell i ran out of time on the last objective and barely made it to pelican 1 before it left me 😂 which tbh is the only viable way to extract on a solo 10

Wish there was a reward system in place for surviving and completing a mission without dying. Perhaps tally parks in blood, oil, or bug blood on your character’s shoulders everytime you survive a mission to completion. Would make for a more conservative play style! ✌️love your channel man keep it up!
its extremely short sighted to use 2 hour lasting surveys and only take number of participants into consideration.
how can they not realize the world has timezones and the vast majority of the playerbase is soundly sleeping during that short window of time.
The survey contains lots of text you can add. So someone needs to read each one. Besides, 5000 is plenty of feedback from a statistical accuracy point of view.
I think you over estimate how many players would really use cross progression. Would be great to have, but I don’t see that as a big move
I noticed yesterday the crew members on the lower deck in my bridge will one by one sink through the floor and disappear. I wonder how long it'll take for them to fix that, until a few days ago I straight up thought nobody spawned down there.
Same. I spawned down there and fell through the floor. The guy standing there used to have a speak button like the others on deck. Always wanted to get down there and hear what he says. After this last update the button is gone . Guess we’ll never know
If there is not a major order at the moment can I suggest something for the bot and bug players, keep liberating plants around the DSS construction and things pertaining to it, bots I recommend libration of clasa, vog- sojoth and lesath to create a barrier for the DSS construction , bugs I’m unfortunately not to knowledgeable on what is going on there but recommend libration of planets around the DSS thing there this is just my recommendation
Also Numbers with Xbox would be objectively good, but big heads are usually extremely far from from understanding anything about the games they handle or how to make money

1000 answers is already a good sample size to represent a community. 5000 is overkill. If you don't know how statistics work, don't complain.
Not all of us feel the need to complain directly to Arrowhead. Most companies don't care so unless you're already one of those people that do it, the rest don't care enough.

Bugs could be harder but the bots DO NOT NEED TO BE ANY HARDER. Screw the rocket striders, screw the shielded devestators and screw the jammers.
That sweet lock on targeting while ragdolling too, I don't mind them trying to create new ways to make the game more challenging, but I will say the busted patrols and instantaneous spawns as soon as you turn your back aint the way, that's just cheap.
To be fair we likely have nothing to do because we simply beat the major order earlier then expected

Crossplay progression not really a big deal for me😭🤷♂️, I rather they focus their time and effort on dropping some new content. Exp:(weapons, new enemies, the Dss, map designs, ect….)

Every mission counts, you don’t have to do all 3 to have it count towards overall liberation. It literally shows your progress being added, finishing an operation just gives you a lot more.

5,000 on each platform is 10,000 assuming no dupplicates, even without, 5,000 is still lot of data to sift through, throw out the false data and understand for a small studio, thought i think they should start some more in the middle of the day to help none morning birds.

Why can't they just put a terminal on the ship that EVERYONE can use to fill out a survey in game? Maybe give out some samples or R-slips or super credits for answering their questions.
Because everyone would want to fill the survey, and that would be too much data, they would need to outright ignore a portion of the submitted surveys, or they would need to simplify the questions to the point they don’t get ACTUAL, well though out or written data, and instead they would be a bunch of yes/no question, that, to be fair they could do every few months, but they need more complete feedback right now
@@alejandrobgaytan1865 tens of thousands of multiple choice answers would give them an indication of what the majority of the players want versus this is a small hand selected bunch of diehards that might want the game to go in a completely different direction than most of the player base.

Is it possible that the limit for surveys is do to a system limitation? I personally haven't had anything to provide in this surveys so i haven't tried to put in a response
I really don't think the game "definitely needs" the player numbers from xbox when the game wasn't even meant to host this number of players we have now to begin with. That said, I see no reason to keep xbox out and would welcome it. More divers for the cause.
Also who tf plays on both PC+Console? Sounds hella expensive and unnecessary to me. Almost every game worth playing finds it's way to PC. And if you're dying to play with a controller, you can just plug one in via usb.

PC
Every PlayStation on the planet.
One of the newest Xbox consoles.
A Switch.
And worst of all, most gamers I run into are the exact same. They don’t bother with console wars and take in views from all sides because they all have something worth playing, and it’s worth playing legally.
Even if maybe it doesn’t need the numbers, more players means more money for AH, and that could mean better or faster content drops for the game

As a former xbox player, helldivers would do FANTASTIC on xbox. Xbox is way more geared towards multiplayer games and forming groups than pc and Playstation.

5000 of 30,000 is 1/6th of the playbase if everyone who participates actually plays
I've participated in almost all of the feedback forms.
Thinking about it disabling major order would be tge best idea from the bots since half the heldivers would disperse on planets with less than a thousand players making no difference

I have finished a couple solo 10s... but not cause I dropped in as a solo. I joined a mission that had 1 side objective and none of the main done and as soon as I landed the other 2 left. Somehow nobody else came in. That was last night on martale. They left me with 2 reinforcements 😂. But I ended up using hit and run tactics. Hit a spot and when a patrol came through id fight if I could but as soon as a bot drop was detected I would just run to the next. I got out with 2 rare samples and the bot head cause they left those at the extract lol and I got all but 1 of the side objectives. So all in all it's possible but holy hell i ran out of time on the last objective and barely made it to pelican 1 before it left me 😂 which tbh is the only viable way to extract on a solo 10
